¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;

¹⁸ They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

¹⁹ But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

²¹ Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

²² I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

¹⁷ I am so weak and thin that my bones can be seen and counted. My enemies stare at me and ◄gloat/are happy► about what has happened to me.

¹⁸ They looked at the clothes that I was wearing and gambled to determine which piece each of them would get.

¹⁹ O Yahweh, do not stay far away from me! You who are my source of strength, come quickly and help me!

²⁰ Rescue me from those who want to kill me with their swords. Save me from those who are like wild/fierce dogs MET.

²¹ Snatch me away from my enemies who are like lions whose jaws are already open, ready to chew me up Grab me away from those men who are like wild oxen that attack other animals with their horns MET!

²² But you have saved me, so I will declare to my fellow Israelis how great you MTY are. I will praise you among the group of your people gathered together to worship you.

¹⁸ They make a division of my robes among them, by the decision of chance they take my clothing.

¹⁹ Do not be far from me, O Lord: O my strength, come quickly to my help.

²⁰ Make my soul safe from the sword, my life from the power of the dog.

²¹ Be my saviour from the lion's mouth; let me go free from the horns of the cruel oxen.

²² I will give the knowledge of your name to my brothers: I will give you praise among the people.

¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look, they stare upon me;

¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

¹⁹ But thou, Jehovah, be not far from me; O my strength, haste thee to help me.

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword; my only one from the power of the dog;

²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth. Yea, from the horns of the buffaloes hast thou answered me.

²² I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

¹⁷ I'm so thin I can count all my bones. People stare at me and gloat.

¹⁸ They divide my clothing among them; they roll dice for my clothes.

¹⁹ But you, Lord, don't be far away from me! You are my strength—hurry, come and help me!

²⁰ Save me from death by the sword! Save my life—the only one I have—from the dogs!

²¹ Rescue me from the mouth of the lion and from the wild bulls!

²² I will tell my people all the wonderful things you have done; I will praise you in the congregation.

¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: yet they beholde, and looke vpon me.

¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lottes vpon my vesture.

¹⁹ But be thou not farre off, O Lord, my strength: hasten to helpe me.

²⁰ Deliuer my soule from the sword: my desolate soule from the power of the dogge.

²¹ Saue me from the lyons mouth, and answere me in sauing me from the hornes of the vnicornes.

²² I wil declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Congregation will I praise thee, saying,

¹⁷ (22-18) I may count all my bones; they look and gloat over me.

¹⁸ (22-19) They part my garments among them, and for my vesture do they cast lots.

¹⁹ (22-20) But Thou, O LORD, be not far off; O Thou my strength, hasten to help me.

²⁰ (22-21) Deliver my soul from the sword; mine only one from the power of the dog.

²¹ (22-22) Save me from the lion's mouth; yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen do Thou answer me.

²² (22-23) I will declare Thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee.

¹⁷ I can count all my bones; They gaze, and feast their eyes upon me.

¹⁸ They divide my garments among them, And for my vesture they cast lots.

¹⁹ But be not thou far from me, O LORD! O my strength! make haste to mine aid!

²⁰ Deliver my life from the sword; My blood from the power of the dog;

²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth; Shield me from the horns of the buffaloes!

²² I will proclaim thy name to my brethren; In the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

¹⁷ I can count my bones, every one. As for them, they feast their eyes on me.

¹⁸ They divide my garments amongst them, and over my raiment cast lots.

¹⁹ But you, O Lord, be not far, O my strength, hasten to help me.

²⁰ Deliver my life from the sword my life from the power of the dogs.

²¹ Save me from the jaws of the lion, from the horns of the wild oxen help me.

²² I will tell of your fame to my kindred, and in the assembly will praise you.

¹⁹ But you, O Lord, be not far, O my strength, hasten to help me.

²² I will tell of your fame to my kindred, and in the assembly will praise you.

¹⁸ they parted my clothes to them-selves, and they sent lot on my cloth.

¹⁹ But thou, Lord, delay not thine help from me; behold thou to my defence.

²⁰ God, deliver thou my life from sword; and deliver thou mine one alone from the hand, or power, of the dog.

²¹ Make thou me safe from the mouth of a lion; and my meekness from the horns of unicorns.

²² I shall tell thy name to my brethren; I shall praise thee in the midst of the church.

¹⁷ they numbered all my bones. Soothly they looked (at), and beheld me; (and they counted up all my bones. Yea, they beheld me;)

¹⁸ they parted my clothes to themselves, and they sent lot on my cloth. (then they parted my clothes among themselves, and they cast lots for my cloak.)

¹⁹ But thou, Lord, delay not thine help from me; behold thou to my defence. (But thou, Lord, do not delay thy help for me; hasten thou to my defence.)

²⁰ God, deliver thou my life from sword; and deliver thou mine one alone from the hand, or power, of the dog. (God, deliver thou my life from the sword; yea, rescue thou my very life from the power of these dogs.)

²¹ Make thou me safe from the mouth of a lion; and my meekness from the horns of unicorns. (Save thou me from the lion’s mouth; yea, mypoor body from the horns of these bulls.)

²² I shall tell thy name to my brethren; I shall praise thee in the midst of the church. (I shall tell out thy name to my brothers, or my kinsmen; and I shall praise thee in the midst of the congregation.)

¹⁷ I count all my bones — they look expectingly, They look upon me,

¹⁸ They apportion my garments to themselves, And for my clothing they cause a lot to fall.

¹⁹ And Thou, O Jehovah, be not far off, O my strength, to help me haste.

²⁰ Deliver from the sword my soul, From the paw of a dog mine only one.

²¹ Save me from the mouth of a lion: — And — from the horns of the high places Thou hast answered me!

²² I declare Thy name to my brethren, In the midst of the assembly I praise Thee.
