¹² Many bulls have compassed me; Strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round.

¹³ They gape upon me with their mouth, As a ravening and a roaring lion.

¹⁴ I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint: My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a potsherd; And my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; And thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogs have compassed me: A company of evil-doers have inclosed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I may count all my bones. They look and stare upon me;

¹⁸ They part my garments among them, And upon my vesture do they cast lots.

¹⁹ But be not thou far off, O Jehovah: O thou my succor, haste thee to help me.

²⁰ Deliver my soul from the sword, My darling from the power of the dog.

²¹ Save me from the lion’s mouth; Yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen thou hast answered me.

²² I will declare thy name unto my brethren: In the midst of the assembly will I praise thee.

²³ Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; All ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; And stand in awe of him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; Neither hath he hid his face from him; But when he cried unto him, he heard.

²⁵ Of thee cometh my praise in the great assembly: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

²⁶ The meek shall eat and be satisfied; They shall praise Jehovah that seek after him: Let your heart live for ever.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto Jehovah; And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

²⁸ For the kingdom is Jehovah’s; And he is the ruler over the nations.

²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship: All they that go down to the dust shall bow before him, Even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

³⁰ A seed shall serve him; It shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.

¹² My enemies surround me like a herd/group of wild bulls. Fierce people, like those strong bulls that graze on the hills in Bashan area, encircle me.

¹³ They are like roaring lions that are attacking the animals that they want to kill MET and eat; they rush toward me to kill me; they are like lions that have their mouths open, ready to tear their victims to pieces MET.

¹⁴ I am completely exhausted MET, and all my bones are out of their joints/places. I no longer expect that God will save me; that expectation is gone completely, like wax that has melted away.

¹⁵ My strength is all dried up MET like a broken piece of a clay jar that has dried in the sun. I am so thirsty that my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. O God, I think that you are about to let me die and become dirt!

¹⁶ My enemies MET surround me like a pack/group of wild dogs. A group of evil men has encircled me, ready to attack me. They have already smashed my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I am so weak and thin that my bones can be seen and counted. My enemies stare at me and ◄gloat/are happy► about what has happened to me.

¹⁸ They looked at the clothes that I was wearing and gambled to determine which piece each of them would get.

¹⁹ O Yahweh, do not stay far away from me! You who are my source of strength, come quickly and help me!

²⁰ Rescue me from those who want to kill me with their swords. Save me from those who are like wild/fierce dogs MET.

²¹ Snatch me away from my enemies who are like lions whose jaws are already open, ready to chew me up Grab me away from those men who are like wild oxen that attack other animals with their horns MET!

²² But you have saved me, so I will declare to my fellow Israelis how great you MTY are. I will praise you among the group of your people gathered together to worship you.

²³ You people who have an awesome respect for Yahweh, praise him! All you who are descended from Jacob, honor Yahweh! All you Israeli people, revere him!

²⁴ He does not despise or ignore those who are suffering; he does not hide ◄his face/himself► from them. He has listened to them when they cried out to him for help.

²⁵ Yahweh, in the great gathering of your people, I will praise you for what you have done. In the presence of those who revere you, I will offer the sacrifices that I promised.

²⁶ The poor people whom I have invited to the meal will eat as much as they want. All who come worship Yahweh will praise him. I pray that God will enable you all to live a long and happy life!

²⁷ I pray that people in all nations, even in the remote areas, will think about Yahweh and turn to him, and that people from all the clans in the world will bow down before him.

²⁸ Because Yahweh is the king! He rules all the nations.

²⁹ I desire that all the rich people on the earth will bow before him. Some day they will die, but I want them to prostrate themselves on the ground in his presence before they die.

³⁰ People ◄in the future generations/who have not been born yet► will also serve Yahweh. Our descendants will be told about what Yahweh has done.

¹³ I saw their mouths wide open, like lions crying after food.

¹⁴ I am flowing away like water, and all my bones are out of place: my heart is like wax, it has become soft in my body.

¹⁵ My throat is dry like a broken vessel; my tongue is fixed to the roof of my mouth, and the dust of death is on my lips.

¹⁶ Dogs have come round me: I am shut in by the band of evil-doers; they made wounds in my hands and feet.

¹⁷ I am able to see all my bones; their looks are fixed on me:

¹⁸ They make a division of my robes among them, by the decision of chance they take my clothing.

¹⁹ Do not be far from me, O Lord: O my strength, come quickly to my help.

²⁰ Make my soul safe from the sword, my life from the power of the dog.

²¹ Be my saviour from the lion's mouth; let me go free from the horns of the cruel oxen.

²² I will give the knowledge of your name to my brothers: I will give you praise among the people.

²³ You who have fear of the Lord, give him praise; all you seed of Jacob, give him glory; go in fear of him, all you seed of Israel.

²⁴ For he has not been unmoved by the pain of him who is troubled; or kept his face covered from him; but he has given an answer to his cry.

²⁵ My praise will be of you in the great meeting: I will make my offerings before his worshippers.

²⁶ The poor will have a feast of good things: those who make search for the Lord will give him praise: your heart will have life for ever.

²⁷ All the ends of the earth will keep it in mind and be turned to the Lord: all the families of the nations will give him worship.

²⁸ For the kingdom is the Lord's; he is the ruler among the nations.

²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth will give him worship; all those who go down to the dust will make themselves low before him, even he who has not enough for the life of his soul.

³⁰ A seed will be his servant; the doings of the Lord will be made clear to the generation which comes after.

¹⁹ But thou, Jehovah, be not far from me; O my strength, haste thee to help me.

²¹ Save me from the lion's mouth. Yea, from the horns of the buffaloes hast thou answered me.

²² I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

²³ Ye that fear Jehovah, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and revere him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him: but when he cried unto him, he heard.

¹⁴ I feel like I'm being poured out like water. I'm falling apart as if all my bones have become loose. My mind feels like it's wax melting inside me.

¹⁵ My strength has dried up like a piece of broken pottery. My tongue is stuck to the roof of my mouth. You're burying me as if I'm already dead.

¹⁶ Evil men surround me like a pack of dogs. They have pierced my hands and feet.

¹⁷ I'm so thin I can count all my bones. People stare at me and gloat.

¹⁸ They divide my clothing among them; they roll dice for my clothes.

¹⁹ But you, Lord, don't be far away from me! You are my strength—hurry, come and help me!

²⁰ Save me from death by the sword! Save my life—the only one I have—from the dogs!

²¹ Rescue me from the mouth of the lion and from the wild bulls!

²² I will tell my people all the wonderful things you have done; I will praise you in the congregation.

²³ Praise the Lord, all who worship him! Honor him, every descendant of Jacob! Be in awe of him, every descendant of Israel!

²⁴ For he has not ridiculed or scorned the suffering of the poor; he has not turned away from them, he has listened to their cries for help.

²⁵ You are the subject of my praise in the great assembly. I will fulfill my promises before those who worship you.

²⁶ The poor shall eat, and they shall be satisfied. All who come to the Lord will praise him—may you all live forever!

²⁷ Everyone in the whole world will repent and return to the Lord; all the nations will worship before you.

²⁸ For kingly power belongs to the Lord; he is the one who rules over the nations.

²⁹ All who prosper come to feast and worship. Bow down before him, all those destined for the grave—for none can keep themselves alive.

³⁰ Our descendants will serve him; they will tell the next generation about the Lord.

¹⁴ I am like water powred out, and all my bones are out of ioynt: mine heart is like waxe: it is molten in the middes of my bowels.

¹⁵ My strength is dryed vp like a potsheard, and my tongue cleaueth to my iawes, and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶ For dogges haue compassed me, and the assemblie of the wicked haue inclosed me: they perced mine hands and my feete.

¹⁷ I may tell all my bones: yet they beholde, and looke vpon me.

¹⁸ They part my garments among them, and cast lottes vpon my vesture.

¹⁹ But be thou not farre off, O Lord, my strength: hasten to helpe me.

²⁰ Deliuer my soule from the sword: my desolate soule from the power of the dogge.

²¹ Saue me from the lyons mouth, and answere me in sauing me from the hornes of the vnicornes.

²² I wil declare thy Name vnto my brethren: in the middes of the Congregation will I praise thee, saying,

²³ Prayse the Lord, ye that feare him: magnifie ye him, all the seede of Iaakob, and feare ye him, all the seede of Israel.

²⁴ For he hath not despised nor abhorred ye affliction of the poore: neither hath he hid his face from him, but when he called vnto him, he heard.

²⁵ My prayse shalbe of thee in the great Congregation: my vowes will I perfourme before them that feare him.

²⁶ The poore shall eate and be satisfied: they that seeke after the Lord, shall prayse him: your heart shall liue for euer.

²⁷ All the endes of the worlde shall remember themselues, and turne to the Lord: and all the kinreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

²⁸ For the kingdome is the Lords, and he ruleth among the nations.

²⁹ All they that be fat in the earth, shall eate and worship: all they that go downe into the dust, shall bowe before him, euen he that cannot quicken his owne soule.

³⁰ Their seede shall serue him: it shalbe counted vnto the Lord for a generation.

¹⁵ (22-16) My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my throat; and Thou layest me in the dust of death.

¹⁶ (22-17) For dogs have encompassed me; a company of evil-doers have inclosed me; like a lion, they are at my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ (22-18) I may count all my bones; they look and gloat over me.

¹⁸ (22-19) They part my garments among them, and for my vesture do they cast lots.

¹⁹ (22-20) But Thou, O LORD, be not far off; O Thou my strength, hasten to help me.

²⁰ (22-21) Deliver my soul from the sword; mine only one from the power of the dog.

²¹ (22-22) Save me from the lion's mouth; yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen do Thou answer me.

²² (22-23) I will declare Thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise Thee.

²³ (22-24) 'Ye that fear the LORD, praise Him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify Him; and stand in awe of Him, all ye the seed of Israel.

²⁴ (22-25) For He hath not despised nor abhorred the lowliness of the poor; neither hath He hid His face from him; but when he cried unto Him, He heard.'

²⁵ (22-26) From Thee cometh my praise in the great congregation; I will pay my vows before them that fear Him.

²⁶ (22-27) Let the humble eat and be satisfied; let them praise the LORD that seek after Him; may your heart be quickened for ever!

²⁷ (22-28) All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn unto the LORD; and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before Thee.

²⁸ (22-29) For the kingdom is the LORD'S; and He is the ruler over the nations.

²⁹ (22-30) All the fat ones of the earth shall eat and worship; all they that go down to the dust shall kneel before Him, even he that cannot keep his soul alive.

³⁰ (22-31) A seed shall serve him; it shall be told of the Lord unto the next generation.

²² I shall tell thy name to my brethren; I shall praise thee in the midst of the church. (I shall tell out thy name to my brothers, or my kinsmen; and I shall praise thee in the midst of the congregation.)

²³ Ye that dread the Lord, praise him; all the seed of Jacob, glorify him. All the seed of Israel, dread him; (Ye who fear the Lord, praise him; all of Jacob’s children, glorify him. All of Israel’s descendants, fear him;/Ye who revere the Lord, praise him; all of Jacob’s children, glorify him. All of Israel’s descendants, revere him;)

²⁴ for he forsook not, neither despised the prayer of a poor man. Neither he turned away his face from me; and when I cried to him, he heard me. (for he forsook not, nor despised the prayer of the poor man. Nor hath he turned his face away from him; but when he cried to him, he answered him.)

²⁵ My praising is with thee in a great church; I shall yield my vows in the sight of men dreading him. (My praises shall be for thee before the great congregation; I shall pay my vows before those who fear thee or before those who revere thee.)

²⁶ Poor men shall eat, and shall be ful filled, and they shall praise the Lord, that seek him; the hearts of them shall live into the world of world. (The poor shall eat, and shall be satisfied; and they who seek the Lord shall praise him, and their hearts shall live forever and ever.)

²⁷ All the ends of earth shall bethink; and shall be converted to the Lord. And all the families of heathen men, shall worship in his sight. (All the ends of the earth shall remember the Lord; and shall turn to him. And all the families of the heathen, shall worship before him.)

²⁸ For the realm is the Lord’s; and he shall be Lord of heathen men. (For the Lord is the King; and he is the Lord of the heathen, yea, of all the nations.)

²⁹ All the fat men of earth ate and worshipped; all men, that go down into earth, shall fall down in his sight. And my soul shall live to him; (All the proud people of the earth shall eat at his feasts, and they shall worship him; all those, who go down into the earth, yea, who go down into the grave, shall bow down before him. And my soul shall live for him;)

³⁰ and my seed shall serve him. A generation to coming shall be told to the Lord; (and my children, or my descendants, shall serve him. The generations to come shall be told about the Lord;)

¹² Many bulls have surrounded me, Mighty ones of Bashan have compassed me,

¹³ They have opened against me their mouth, A lion tearing and roaring.

¹⁴ As waters I have been poured out, And separated themselves have all my bones, My heart hath been like wax, It is melted in the midst of my bowels.

¹⁵ Dried up as an earthen vessel is my power, And my tongue is cleaving to my jaws.

¹⁶ And to the dust of death thou appointest me, For surrounded me have dogs, A company of evil doers have compassed me, Piercing my hands and my feet.

¹⁷ I count all my bones — they look expectingly, They look upon me,

¹⁸ They apportion my garments to themselves, And for my clothing they cause a lot to fall.

¹⁹ And Thou, O Jehovah, be not far off, O my strength, to help me haste.

²⁰ Deliver from the sword my soul, From the paw of a dog mine only one.

²¹ Save me from the mouth of a lion: — And — from the horns of the high places Thou hast answered me!

²² I declare Thy name to my brethren, In the midst of the assembly I praise Thee.

²³ Ye who fear Jehovah, praise ye Him, All the seed of Jacob, honour ye Him, And be afraid of Him, all ye seed of Israel.

²⁴ For He hath not despised, nor abominated, The affliction of the afflicted, Nor hath He hidden His face from him, And in his crying unto Him He heareth.

²⁵ Of Thee my praise is in the great assembly. My vows I complete before His fearers.

²⁶ The humble do eat and are satisfied, Praise Jehovah do those seeking Him, Your heart doth live for ever.

²⁷ Remember and return unto Jehovah, Do all ends of the earth, And before Thee bow themselves, Do all families of the nations,

²⁸ For to Jehovah is the kingdom, And He is ruling among nations.

²⁹ And the fat ones of earth have eaten, And they bow themselves, Before Him bow do all going down to dust, And he who hath not revived his soul.

³⁰ A seed doth serve Him, It is declared of the Lord to the generation.
