⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the mountains quaked And were shaken, because he was wroth.

⁸ There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it.

⁹ He bowed the heavens also, and came down; And thick darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰ And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; Yea, he soared upon the wings of the wind.

¹¹ He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

¹² At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.

¹³ Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.

¹⁴ And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.

¹⁵ Then the channels of waters appeared, And the foundations of the world were laid bare, At thy rebuke, O Jehovah, At the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

¹⁶ He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

¹⁸ They came upon me in the day of my calamity; But Jehovah was my stay.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

²⁰ Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

²² For all his ordinances were before me, And I put not away his statutes from me.

²³ I was also perfect with him, And I kept myself from mine iniquity.

²⁴ Therefore hath Jehovah recompensed me according to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands in his eyesight.

²⁵ With the merciful thou wilt show thyself merciful; With the perfect man thou wilt show thyself perfect;

²⁶ With the pure thou wilt show thyself pure; And with the perverse thou wilt show thyself froward.

²⁷ For thou wilt save the afflicted people; But the haughty eyes thou wilt bring down.

²⁸ For thou wilt light my lamp: Jehovah my God will lighten my darkness.

²⁹ For by thee I run upon a troop; And by my God do I leap over a wall.

³⁰ As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him.

³¹ For who is God, save Jehovah? And who is a rock, besides our God,

³² The God that girdeth me with strength, And maketh my way perfect?

³³ He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: And setteth me upon my high places.

³⁴ He teacheth my hands to war; So that mine arms do bend a bow of brass.

³⁵ Thou hast also given me the shield of thy salvation; And thy right hand hath holden me up, And thy gentleness hath made me great.

³⁶ Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, And my feet have not slipped.

³⁷ I will pursue mine enemies, and overtake them; Neither will I turn again till they are consumed.

³⁸ I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise: They shall fall under my feet.

³⁹ For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: Thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me.

⁴⁰ Thou hast also made mine enemies turn their backs unto me, That I might cut off them that hate me.

⁴¹ They cried, but there was none to save; Even unto Jehovah, but he answered them not.

⁴² Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

⁷ His going forth is from the extremity of heaven, and his circuit to the other end of heaven: and no one shall be hidden from his heat.

⁸ The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes.

⁹ The ordinances of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes.

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, and justified altogether.

¹¹ To be desired more than gold, and much precious stone: sweeter also than honey and the honey-comb.

¹² For thy servant keeps to them: in the keeping of them there is great reward.

¹³ Who will understand his transgressions? purge thou me from my secret sins.

¹⁴ And spare thy servant the attack of strangers: if they do not gain the dominion over me, then shall I be blameless, and I shall be clear from great sin.

¹⁵ So shall the sayings of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing continually before thee, O Lord my helper, and my redeemer.

⁷ Then the earth quaked/shook strongly DOU; the mountains shook very strongly from their centers DOU because Yahweh was angry.

⁸ It was as though smoke poured out from his nostrils, and as though burning coals came out of his mouth.

⁹ He opened the sky and came down with a black cloud under his feet.

¹⁰ He flew, riding on the back of a creature that had wings, traveling fast, blown along by the wind.

¹¹ Darkness was all around him like a blanket MET; dark clouds, full of moisture, covered him MET.

¹² Hailstones and flashes of lightning were around him; hail and burning coals fell from the sky.

¹³ Then Yahweh spoke in a loud voice from the sky, and his enemies heard his voice that sounded like thunder.

¹⁴ He shot his arrows at them and caused them to scatter; His flashes of lightning caused them to become very confused (OR, to run away).

¹⁵ The bottom of the ocean became visible, and the foundations of the earth were uncovered, when Yahweh rebuked his enemies when he snorted.

¹⁶ It was as though he reached down from heaven and grabbed me and pulled me up out of the deep ocean.

¹⁷ He rescued me from my strong enemies who hated me; they were very strong, with the result that I could not defeat them.

¹⁸ When I ◄was distressed/had troubles►, they attacked me, but Yahweh defended/protected me.

¹⁹ He led me to a place where I was safe; he rescued me because he was pleased with me.

²⁰ Yahweh has rewarded me because I do what is right; he has blessed me because I ◄am innocent/have not done things that are wrong►.

²¹ I have obeyed Yahweh's laws; I have not abandoned him.

²² My behavior was directed by his rules; I have not stopped obeying them.

²³ He knows that I have not done what is wrong; I have kept myself from sinning.

²⁴ So he rewards me because I do what is right; he knows that I SYN have not committed sins.

²⁵ Yahweh, you are faithful to those who faithfully do what you tell them to do; you always do what is good/right to those who do what you want them to do.

²⁶ You are kind to those who are kind to others, but you act wisely toward those who ◄act perversely/do bad things►.

²⁷ You save those who are humble, but you cause those who are proud to be humiliated/ashamed.

²⁸ You give light to my soul/spirit; you take away the darkness of my soul.

²⁹ You enable me to be strong, with the result that I can run and attack a line of enemy soldiers; with your help I can ◄scale/climb up► the walls that surround my enemies' cities.

³⁰ Everything that Yahweh my God does is perfect. We can depend on him to do what he promises. He is like a shield MET to protect all those who go to him for refuge.

³¹ Yahweh is RHQ the only one who is God; only he is like an overhanging rock under which we can be safe.

³² God is the one who enables me to be strong and who keeps me safe on the roads that I walk on.

³³ He enables me to walk swiftly without stumbling, like a deer walks/runs in the mountains.

³⁴ He teaches me how to use a strong/metal bow in order that I can use it to fight in battles.

³⁵ Yahweh, you protect and save me with your shield; you have made me safe by your power MTY. I have become ◄strong/a great king► because you have helped me.

³⁶ You havecleared the road for me, with the result that now I do not slip/stumble.

³⁷ I have pursued my enemies and caught them; I did not stop until I had defeated/killed them all.

³⁸ When I strike them, they are not able to get up again; they lie on the ground, defeated.

³⁹ You have enabled me to be strong in order that I can fight battles and defeat my enemies.

⁴⁰ You caused my enemies to run away (OR, you enabled me to put my foot on my enemies' necks after I captured them and forced them to lie on the ground); I have gotten rid of all those who hated me.

⁴¹ They called out for someone to help them, but no one saved them.

⁴² I pulverize them, with the result that they become like MET the dust that the wind blows away; I throw them out like SIM people throw dirt out into the streets.

⁴³ You enabled me to defeat those who fought against me, and appointed me to be the ruler of many nations; people whom I did not know about previously are now slaves in my kingdom.

²⁹ For by you, I advance through a troop. By my God, I leap over a wall.

⁸ Smoke went out of his nostrils. Consuming fire came out of his mouth. Coals were kindled by it.

⁹ He bowed the heavens also, and came down. Thick darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰ He rode on a cherub, and flew. Yes, he soared on the wings of the wind.

¹¹ He made darkness his hiding place, his pavilion around him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

¹² At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, hailstones and coals of fire.

¹³ The LORD also thundered in the sky. The Most High uttered his voice: hailstones and coals of fire.

¹⁴ He sent out his arrows, and scattered them. He routed them with great lightning bolts.

¹⁵ Then the channels of waters appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

¹⁶ He sent from on high. He took me. He drew me out of many waters.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, from those who hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

¹⁸ They came on me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my support.

¹⁹ He brought me out also into a large place. He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

²⁶ With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

²⁷ For you will save the afflicted people, but the arrogant eyes you will bring down.

¹⁴ He sent out his arrows, driving them in all directions; by his flames of fire they were troubled.

¹⁵ Then the deep beds of the waters were seen, and the bases of the world were uncovered, because of your words of wrath, O Lord, because of the breath from your mouth.

¹⁶ He sent from on high, he took me, pulling me out of great waters.

¹⁷ He made me free from my strong hater, and from those who were against me, because they were stronger than I.

¹⁸ They came on me in the day of my trouble; but the Lord was my support.

¹⁹ He took me out into a wide place; he was my saviour because he had delight in me.

²⁰ The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before him.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.

²² For all his decisions were before me, and I did not put away his laws from me.

²³ And I was upright before him, and I kept myself from sin.

²⁴ Because of this the Lord has given me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean in his eyes.

²⁵ On him who has mercy you will have mercy; to the upright you will be upright;

²⁶ He who is holy will see that you are holy; but to the man whose way is not straight you will be a hard judge.

²⁷ For you are the saviour of those who are in trouble; but eyes full of pride will be made low.

²⁸ You, O Lord, will be my light; by you, my God, the dark will be made bright for me.

²⁹ By your help I have made a way through the wall which was shutting me in; by the help of my God I have gone over a wall.

³⁰ As for God, his way is completely good; the word of the Lord is tested; he is a breastplate for all those who put their faith in him.

³¹ For who is God but the Lord? or who is a Rock but our God?

³² God puts a strong band about me, guiding me in a straight way.

³⁴ He makes my hands expert in war, so that a bow of brass is bent by my arms.

³⁵ You have given me the breastplate of your salvation: your right hand has been my support, and your mercy has made me great.

³⁶ You have made my steps wide under me, so that my feet are kept from slipping.

³⁷ I go after my haters and overtake them; not turning back till they are all overcome.

³⁸ I will give them wounds, so that they are not able to get up: they are stretched under my feet.

³⁹ For I have been armed by you with strength for the fight: you have made low under me those who come out against me.

⁴⁰ By you their backs are turned in flight, so that my haters are cut off.

⁴¹ They were crying out, but there was no one to come to their help: even to the Lord, but he gave them no answer.

⁴² Then they were crushed as small as dust before the wind; they were drained out like the waste of the streets.

⁴³ You have made me free from the fightings of the people; you have made me the head of the nations: a people of whom I had no knowledge will be my servants.

¹⁸ They encountered me in the day of my calamity, but Jehovah was my stay.

²⁷ For it is thou that savest the afflicted people; but the haughty eyes wilt thou bring down.

²⁸ For it is thou that makest my lamp to shine: Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.

³⁹ And thou girdedst me with strength to battle; thou didst subdue under me those that rose up against me.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; thou hast made me the head of the nations: a people I knew not doth serve me.

⁷ His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.

⁸ The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.

⁹ The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.

¹¹ More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.

¹² For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.

¹³ Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:

¹⁴ And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.

¹⁵ And the words of my mouth shall be such as may please: and the meditation of my heart always in thy sight. O Lord, my helper, and my redeemer.

⁷ The earth shook to and fro; the foundations of the mountains trembled, shaking because of his anger.

¹² Hailstones and burning coals flew out from his brightness, passing through his thick clouds.

¹³ The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High sounded among the hailstones and burning coals.

¹⁴ He fired his arrows, scattering his enemies; he routed them with his lightning bolts.

¹⁵ You roared, Lord, and by the wind from the breath of your nostrils the valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth were uncovered.

¹⁶ He reached down his hand from above and grabbed hold of me. He pulled me out of the deep water.

¹⁷ He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and who were much stronger than me.

¹⁸ They came at me at my worst possible moment, but the Lord supported me.

¹⁹ He set me free, he rescued me because he's my friend.

²⁰ The Lord rewarded me because I do what's right; he repaid me because I am innocent.

²¹ For I have followed the Lord's ways; I have not sinned by turning away from my God.

²² I have kept all his laws in mind; I have not ignored his commandments.

²³ I am blameless in his sight; I keep myself from sinning.

²⁴ The Lord rewarded me for doing what's right. I am innocent in his sight.

²⁵ You show trust to those who trust; you show integrity to those with integrity,

²⁶ You show yourself pure to those who are pure, but you show yourself smart to those who are crafty.

²⁷ You save the humble, but you bring down the proud.

²⁸ You light my lamp! Lord, my God, you light up my darkness!

²⁹ With you, I can charge down a troop of soldiers; with you, my God, I can climb a fortress wall.

³⁰ God's way is absolutely right. What the Lord says is trustworthy. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.

³³ He makes me surefooted like the deer, able to walk the heights in safety.

³⁶ You gave me space in which to walk, and prevented my feet from slipping.

³⁷ I chased my enemies, and caught up with them. I did not turn around until I had destroyed them.

³⁹ You made me strong for battle; you made those who rose up against me kneel down before me.

⁴⁰ You made my enemies run away; I destroyed all my enemies.

⁴¹ They cried out for help, but no one came to rescue them. They even called out to the Lord, but he did not answer them.

¹⁶ He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.

¹⁷ He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.

¹⁸ They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.

¹⁹ Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.

²⁰ The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:

²¹ Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.

²² For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee.

²³ I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes.

²⁴ Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.

²⁵ With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.

²⁶ With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the froward thou wilt shewe thy selfe froward.

²⁷ Thus thou wilt saue the poore people, and wilt cast downe the proude lookes.

²⁸ Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God wil lighten my darkenes.

²⁰ The LORD has rewarded me according to my righteousness. According to the cleanness of my hands, he has recompensed me.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

²² For all his ordinances were before me. I didn’t put away his statutes from me.

²³ I was also blameless with him. I kept myself from my iniquity.

⁸ There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it.

⁹ He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰ And he rode upon a cherub, and flew; yes, he flew upon the wings of the wind.

¹¹ He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion around him were dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.

¹² At the brightness that was before him his thick clouds passed, hail stones and coals of fire.

¹³ The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail stones and coals of fire.

¹⁴ Yes, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.

¹⁵ Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were uncovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.

¹⁶ He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them who hated me: for they were too strong for me.

¹⁸ They attacked me in the day of my calamity: but the LORD was my stay.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also in a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

³¹ For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock save our God?

³² It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

³⁴ He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms.

¹¹ And he setted or put darknesses his hiding place, his tabernacle in his compass; and dark water was in the clouds of the air.

¹² Full clear clouds passed in his sight; hail and the coals of fire.

¹³ And the Lord thundered from heaven; and the Highest gave his voice, hail and coals of fire.

¹⁴ And he sent his arrows, and destroyed those men; he multiplied lightnings, and troubled those men.

¹⁵ And the wells of waters appeared; and the foundaments of the earth were showed. Lord, of thy blaming; of the breathing of the spirit of thine ire.

¹⁶ He sent from the highest place, and took me; and he took me from many waters.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strongest enemies; and from them that hated me, for they were comforted on me.

¹⁸ They came before me in the day of my torment; and the Lord was made my defender.

¹⁹ And he led out me into breadth; he made me safe, for he would me.

²⁰ And the Lord shall yield to me by my rightfulness or rightwiseness; and he shall yield to me by the cleanness of mine hands.

²¹ For I kept the ways of the Lord; and I did not go away unfaithfully from my God.

²² For all his dooms be in my sight; and I putted not away from me his rightfulnesses or rightwisenesses.

²³ And I shall be unwemmed with him; and I shall keep me from my wickedness.

²⁴ And the Lord shall yield to me by my rightfulness or rightwiseness; and by the cleanness of mine hands in the sight of his eyes.

²⁵ With the holy, thou shalt be holy; and with an innocent man, thou shalt be innocent.

²⁶ And with a chosen man, thou shalt be chosen; and with a wayward man, thou shalt be wayward.

²⁷ For thou shalt make safe a meek people; and thou shalt make meek the eyes of proud men.

²⁸ For thou, Lord, lightenest my lantern; my God, lighten thou my darknesses.

²⁹ For by thee I shall be delivered from temptation; and in my God I shall go over the wall.

³⁰ My God, his way is undefouled; the speeches of the Lord be examined by fire; he is the defender of all men hoping in him.

³¹ For why, who is God, except the Lord? either who is God, except our God?

³⁸ I shall all-break them, and they shall not be able to stand; they shall fall under my feet.

⁴³ Thou shalt deliver me from the against-sayings of the people; thou shalt set me into the head of folks. The people, which I knew not, hath served me;

(The earth was altogether shaken, and greatly trembled; the foundations of the mountains were altogether troubled, and altogether shaken, for he was angry.)

⁸ Smoke went up in the ire of the Lord, and fire burnt out from his face; coals were kindled of him. (Smoke went up from his nostrils, and devouring fire came out of his mouth; and coals were kindled by it.)

⁹ He bowed down (the) heavens, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.

¹⁰ And he ascended on cherubim, and flew; he flew over the pens of winds. (And he went up on cherubim, and flew; yea, he flew upon the wings of the wind.)

¹¹ And he setted darknesses his hiding place, his tabernacle in his compass; and dark water was in the clouds of the air. (And he made the darkness his hiding place; and the clouds of the heavens, which were filled with water, surrounded him.)

¹⁶ He sent from the highest place, and took me; and he took me from many waters. (He reached down from the highest place, and took hold of me; yea, he took me out of the deep waters.)

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strongest enemies; and from them that hated me, for they were comforted on me. (He rescued me from my strongest enemies; yea, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.)

¹⁸ They came before me in the day of my torment; and the Lord was made my defender.

¹⁹ And he led out me into breadth; he made me safe, for he would me. (And he led me out into an open place; he saved me, for he delighted in me.)

²⁰ And the Lord shall yield to me by my rightfulness; and he shall yield to me by the cleanness of mine hands. (And the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; he rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.)

²¹ For I (have) kept the ways of the Lord; and I did not (go away) unfaithfully from my God.

²⁸ For thou, Lord, lightenest my lantern; my God, lighten thou my darknesses. (For thou, Lord, brightenest my lantern; my God, thou lightest up my darknesses.)

²⁹ For by thee I shall be delivered from temptation; and in my God I shall go over the wall. (For I shall be rescued,or saved, from temptation by thee; and by my God or and with God’s help, I shall go over the wall.)

³⁰ My God, his way is undefouled; the speeches of the Lord be examined by fire; he is the defender of all men hoping in him. (My God, his way is undefiled; the words of the Lord be assayed by fire, that is, they be tried and tested, and found to be true; he is the defender of all who put their trust in him.)

³¹ For why, who is God, except the Lord? either who is God, except our God? (For who else is God, except the Lord? yea, who else is God, except our God?)

³² God that hath girded me with virtue; and hath set my way unwemmed. (God who hath girded me with strength; and hath made my way without blemish, or without fault.)

³³ Which made perfect my feet as the feet of harts; and ordaining me on high things. (Who made my feet like the feet of harts; and hath ordained me upon the high places.)

³⁴ Which teacheth mine hands to battle; and thou hast set mine arms as a brazen bow. (Who teacheth my hands in battle; and now my arms can break a bronze bow.)

³⁵ And thou hast given to me the covering of thine health; and thy right hand hath up-taken me, (or And thou hast given me the covering of thy salvation, or thy deliverance; and thy right hand hath taken me up). And thy chastising amended me into the end; and that chastising of thee shall teach me.

³⁶ Thou alargedest my paces under me; and my steps be not made unsteadfast. (Thou hast enlarged my steps under me; and my feet have not slipped, or stumbled.)

³⁷ I shall pursue mine enemies, and I shall take (hold of) them; and I shall not turn (again) till they fail (or and I shall not return until they fall).

³⁸ I shall all-break them, and they shall not be able to stand; they shall fall under my feet.

³⁹ And thou hast girded me with virtue to battle; and thou hast overturned under me men rising against me. (And thou hast girded me with strength for the battle; and thou hast put beneath me those who rose up against me.)

⁴⁰ And thou hast given mine enemies aback to me; and thou hast destroyed men hating me/and thou hast destroyed them that hated me. (And thou hast given me the backs of my enemies; and I have destroyed those who hated me.)

⁴¹ They cried, and none there was that made them safe; they cried to the Lord, and he heard not them. (They cried, but there was no one to save them; they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them.)

⁴² And I shall all-break them, as dust before the face of the wind; I shall do them away, as the clay of streets. (And I broke them all in pieces, so that they became like the dust in the wind; I did them away, and trampled them underfoot, like the clay in the streets.)

⁴³ Thou shalt deliver me from the against-sayings of the people; thou shalt set me into the head of folks. The people, which I knew not, hath served me; (Thou delivered me from the gainsaying of the people; thou put me as the head of the nations. The people, whom I knew not, now serve me.)

⁷ And shake and tremble doth the earth, And foundations of hills are troubled, And they shake — because He hath wrath.

⁸ Gone up hath smoke by His nostrils, And fire from His mouth consumeth, Coals have been kindled by it.

⁹ And He inclineth the heavens, and cometh down, And thick darkness is under His feet.

¹⁰ And He rideth on a cherub, and doth fly, And He flieth on wings of wind.

¹¹ He maketh darkness His secret place, Round about Him His tabernacle, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

¹² From the brightness over-against Him His thick clouds have passed on, Hail and coals of fire.

¹³ And thunder in the heavens doth Jehovah, And the Most High giveth forth His voice, Hail and coals of fire.

¹⁴ And He sendeth His arrows and scattereth them, And much lightning, and crusheth them.

¹⁵ And seen are the streams of waters, And revealed are foundations of the earth. From Thy rebuke, O Jehovah, From the breath of the spirit of Thine anger.

¹⁶ He sendeth from above — He taketh me, He draweth me out of many waters.

¹⁷ He delivereth me from my strong enemy, And from those hating me, For they have been stronger than I.

¹⁸ They go before me in a day of my calamity And Jehovah is for a support to me.

¹⁹ And He bringeth me forth to a large place, He draweth me out, because He delighted in me.

²⁰ Jehovah doth recompense me According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.

²² For all His judgments are before me, And His statutes I turn not from me.

²³ And I am perfect with him, And I keep myself from mine iniquity.

²⁴ And Jehovah doth return to me, According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, Over-against his eyes.

²⁵ With the kind Thou showest Thyself kind, With a perfect man showest Thyself perfect.

²⁶ With the pure Thou showest Thyself pure, And with the perverse showest Thyself a wrestler,

²⁷ For Thou a poor people savest, And the eyes of the high causest to fall.

²⁸ For Thou — Thou lightest my lamp, Jehovah my God enlighteneth my darkness.

²⁹ For by Thee I run — a troop! And by my God I leap a wall.

³⁰ God! perfect is His way, The saying of Jehovah is tried, A shield is He to all those trusting in Him.

³¹ For who is God besides Jehovah? And who is a rock save our God?
