Psalms 18:2-14 in American Standard Version (1901)

2 Jehovah is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
3 I will call upon Jehovah, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies.
4 The cords of death compassed me, And the floods of ungodliness made me afraid.
5 The cords of Sheol were round about me; The snares of death came upon me.
6 In my distress I called upon Jehovah, And cried unto my God: He heard my voice out of his temple, And my cry before him came into his ears.
7 Then the earth shook and trembled; The foundations also of the mountains quaked And were shaken, because he was wroth.
8 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, And fire out of his mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it.
9 He bowed the heavens also, and came down; And thick darkness was under his feet.
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; Yea, he soared upon the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his hiding-place, his pavilion round about him, Darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
12 At the brightness before him his thick clouds passed, Hailstones and coals of fire.
13 Jehovah also thundered in the heavens, And the Most High uttered his voice, Hailstones and coals of fire.
14 And he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; Yea, lightnings manifold, and discomfited them.

Psalms 18:2-14 in Brenton Septuagint Translation

2 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims the work of his hands.
3 Day to day utters speech, and night to night proclaims knowledge.
4 There are no speeches or words, in which their voices are not heard.
5 Their voice is gone out into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.
6 In the sun he has set his tabernacle; and he comes forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber: he will exult as a giant to run his course.
7 His going forth is from the extremity of heaven, and his circuit to the other end of heaven: and no one shall be hidden from his heat.
8 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, instructing babes.
9 The ordinances of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is bright, enlightening the eyes.
10 The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, and justified altogether.
11 To be desired more than gold, and much precious stone: sweeter also than honey and the honey-comb.
12 For thy servant keeps to them: in the keeping of them there is great reward.
13 Who will understand his transgressions? purge thou me from my secret sins.
14 And spare thy servant the attack of strangers: if they do not gain the dominion over me, then shall I be blameless, and I shall be clear from great sin.

Psalms 18:2-14 in Translation for Translators

2 Yahweh is like an overhanging rock DOU, MET under which I can hide from my enemies; he is like a strong fortress, the one who protects me; he protects me like a shield MET protects a soldier; he is the one to whom I go ◄for refuge/to be protected/safe►, and he defends me by his great power IDM.
3 I called out to Yahweh, who deserves to be praised, and he rescued me from my enemies.
4 All around me were dangerous situations in which I might be killed PRS; it was as though there were huge waves MET that almost crashed on me and killed me.
5 It was as though the place where dead people are had ropes that were wrapped around me, or it was as though there was a trap MET that would seize and kill me.
6 But when I was very distressed, I called out to Yahweh, and from his temple he heard me. He listened to me when I cried out for help.
7 Then the earth quaked/shook strongly DOU; the mountains shook very strongly from their centers DOU because Yahweh was angry.
8 It was as though smoke poured out from his nostrils, and as though burning coals came out of his mouth.
9 He opened the sky and came down with a black cloud under his feet.
10 He flew, riding on the back of a creature that had wings, traveling fast, blown along by the wind.
11 Darkness was all around him like a blanket MET; dark clouds, full of moisture, covered him MET.
12 Hailstones and flashes of lightning were around him; hail and burning coals fell from the sky.
13 Then Yahweh spoke in a loud voice from the sky, and his enemies heard his voice that sounded like thunder.
14 He shot his arrows at them and caused them to scatter; His flashes of lightning caused them to become very confused (OR, to run away).

2 The heavens shew forth the glory of God, and the firmament declareth the work of his hands.
3 Day to day uttereth speech, and night to night sheweth knowledge.
4 There are no speeches nor languages, where their voices are not heard.
5 Their sound hath gone forth into all the earth: and their words unto the ends of the world.
6 He hath set his tabernacle in the sun: and he, as a bridegroom coming out of his bride chamber, Hath rejoiced as a giant to run the way:
7 His going out is from the end of heaven, And his circuit even to the end thereof: and there is no one that can hide himself from his heat.
8 The law of the Lord is unspotted, converting souls: the testimony of the Lord is faithful, giving wisdom to little ones.
9 The justices of the Lord are right, rejoicing hearts: the commandment of the Lord is lightsome, enlightening the eyes.
10 The fear of the Lord is holy, enduring for ever and ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, justified in themselves.
11 More to be desired than gold and many precious stones: and sweeter than honey and the honeycomb.
12 For thy servant keepeth them, and in keeping them there is a great reward.
13 Who can understand sins? from my secret ones cleanse me, O Lord:
14 And from those of others spare thy servant. If they shall have no dominion over me, then shall I be without spot: and I shall be cleansed from the greatest sin.

14 And spare thy servant the attack of strangers: If they do not gain the dominion over me, then shall I be blameless, And I shall be clear from great sin.

Psalms 18:2-14 in George Noyes Bible

2 Jehovah is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I trust; My shield, my strong defence, and my high tower.
3 I called upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, And was delivered from my enemies.
4 The snares of death encompassed me; The floods of destruction filled me with dismay;
5 The snares of the underworld surrounded me, And the nets of death seized upon me.
6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, And cried unto my God; He heard my voice from his palace, And my cry came before him into his ears.
7 Then the earth quaked and trembled; The foundations of the mountains rocked and were shaken, Because his wrath was kindled.
8 A smoke went up from his nostrils, And fire from his mouth devoured; Burning coals shot forth from him.
9 He bowed the heavens, and came down; And darkness was under his feet;
10 And he rode upon a cherub, and did fly; Yea, he did fly upon the wings of the wind.
11 And he made darkness his covering; His pavilion round about him was dark waters and thick clouds of the skies.
12 At the brightness before him, his thick clouds passed away; Then came hailstones and coals of fire.
13 The LORD also thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered his voice, Amid hailstones and coals of fire.
14 He sent forth his arrows, and scattered them; Continual lightnings, and discomfited them.

2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress, deliverer, my God, my rock, where I take refuge, my shield, my defender, my tower.
3 Worthy of praise is the Lord whom I call on, he rescues me from all my foes.
4 The waves of death broke about me, fearful floods of chaos.
5 Sheol threw cords around me, snares of death came to meet me.
6 In distress I cried to the Lord, and shouted for help to my God; in his temple he heard my voice, into his ears came my cry.
7 Then the earth shook and quaked, mountains trembled to their foundations, and quaked because of his wrath.
8 Smoke went up from his nostrils, devouring fire from his mouth, coals were kindled by it.
9 Then he bent the sky and came down, thick darkness was under his feet.
10 He rode on a cherub and flew, darting on wings of wind,
11 with his screen of darkness about him, in thick dark clouds of water.
12 At the radiance before him there passed hailstones and coals of fire.
13 The Lord thundered from heaven, the Most High uttered his voice.
14 He shot his arrows and scattered them, flashed lightnings, and routed them.

Psalms 18:2-14 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling

2 the Lord is my steadfastness, and my refuge, and my deliverer. My God is mine helper; and I shall hope in him. My defender, and the horn of mine health; and mine up-taker.
3 I shall praise, and inwardly call the Lord; and I shall be safe from mine enemies.
4 The sorrows of death encompassed me; and the strands or streams of wickedness have troubled me.
5 The sorrows of hell encompassed me; the snares of death before-occupied me.
6 In my tribulation I inwardly called the Lord; and I cried to my God. And he heard my voice from his holy temple; and my cry in his sight entered into his ears.
7 The earth was moved together, and trembled greatly; the foundaments of hills were troubled altogether, and moved together, for he was wroth to them.
8 Smoke went up in the ire or wrath of the Lord, and fire burnt out from his face; coals were kindled of him.
9 He bowed down heavens, and came down; and darkness was under his feet.
10 And he ascended or went on cherubim, and flew; he flew over the pens of winds.
11 And he setted or put darknesses his hiding place, his tabernacle in his compass; and dark water was in the clouds of the air.
12 Full clear clouds passed in his sight; hail and the coals of fire.
13 And the Lord thundered from heaven; and the Highest gave his voice, hail and coals of fire.
14 And he sent his arrows, and destroyed those men; he multiplied lightnings, and troubled those men.
