¹⁶ He sent from on high, he took me; He drew me out of many waters.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, And from them that hated me; for they were too mighty for me.

¹⁸ They came upon me in the day of my calamity; But Jehovah was my stay.

¹⁹ He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because he delighted in me.

²⁰ Jehovah hath rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands hath he recompensed me.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

¹⁷ He rescued me from my strong enemies who hated me; they were very strong, with the result that I could not defeat them.

¹⁸ When I ◄was distressed/had troubles►, they attacked me, but Yahweh defended/protected me.

¹⁹ He led me to a place where I was safe; he rescued me because he was pleased with me.

²⁰ Yahweh has rewarded me because I do what is right; he has blessed me because I ◄am innocent/have not done things that are wrong►.

²¹ I have obeyed Yahweh's laws; I have not abandoned him.

²⁰ The Lord gives me the reward of my righteousness, because my hands are clean before him.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not been turned away in sin from my God.

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them that hated me; for they were mightier than I.

¹⁸ They encountered me in the day of my calamity, but Jehovah was my stay.

¹⁹ And he brought me forth into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

¹⁶ He reached down his hand from above and grabbed hold of me. He pulled me out of the deep water.

¹⁷ He rescued me from my powerful enemies, from those who hated me and who were much stronger than me.

¹⁸ They came at me at my worst possible moment, but the Lord supported me.

¹⁹ He set me free, he rescued me because he's my friend.

²⁰ The Lord rewarded me because I do what's right; he repaid me because I am innocent.

²¹ For I have followed the Lord's ways; I have not sinned by turning away from my God.

¹⁶ He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.

¹⁷ He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.

¹⁸ They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.

¹⁹ Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.

²⁰ The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:

²¹ Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.

¹⁷ (18-18) He delivered me from mine enemy most strong, and from them that hated me, for they were too mighty for me.

¹⁸ (18-19) They confronted me in the day of my calamity; but the LORD was a stay unto me.

¹⁹ (18-20) He brought me forth also into a large place; He delivered me, because He delighted in me.

²⁰ (18-21) The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands hath He recompensed me.

²¹ (18-22) For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

¹⁹ (18:20) And he brought me forth into a large space; he delivered me, because he had delight in me.

²⁰ (18:21) The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the purity of my hands did he recompense me.

²¹ (18:22) For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.

¹⁸ They fell upon me in the day of my calamity; But the LORD was my stay.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of the LORD, And have not wickedly departed from my God.

¹⁷ and saved me from those who hated me — fierce foes, too mighty for me.

¹⁸ In my day of distress they assailed me, but the Lord proved my support.

¹⁹ To a spacious place he brought me, and, for love of me, he saved me.

²⁰ The Lord repays my innocence, he rewards my cleanness of hands.

²¹ For I kept the ways of the Lord, nor have wickedly strayed from my God.

¹⁶ He stretched from on high, he seized me, drew me up from the mighty waters,

¹⁷ and saved me from those who hated me — fierce foes, too mighty for me.

¹⁸ In my day of distress they assailed me, but the Lord proved my support.

¹⁹ To a spacious place he brought me, and, for love of me, he saved me.

²⁰ The Lord repays my innocence, he rewards my cleanness of hands.

²¹ For I kept the ways of the Lord, nor have wickedly strayed from my God.

²⁰ Yahweh has rewarded me because of my righteousness; he has restored me because my hands were clean.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of Yahweh and have not wickedly turned away from my God.

²⁰ And the Lord shall yield to me by my rightfulness or rightwiseness; and he shall yield to me by the cleanness of mine hands.

²¹ For I kept the ways of the Lord; and I did not go away unfaithfully from my God.

¹⁶ He sent from the highest place, and took me; and he took me from many waters. (He reached down from the highest place, and took hold of me; yea, he took me out of the deep waters.)

¹⁷ He delivered me from my strongest enemies; and from them that hated me, for they were comforted on me. (He rescued me from my strongest enemies; yea, from those who hated me, for they were too strong for me.)

¹⁸ They came before me in the day of my torment; and the Lord was made my defender.

¹⁹ And he led out me into breadth; he made me safe, for he would me. (And he led me out into an open place; he saved me, for he delighted in me.)

²⁰ And the Lord shall yield to me by my rightfulness; and he shall yield to me by the cleanness of mine hands. (And the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; he rewarded me according to the cleanness of my hands.)

²¹ For I (have) kept the ways of the Lord; and I did not (go away) unfaithfully from my God.

²⁰ Jehovah doth recompense me According to my righteousness, According to the cleanness of my hands, He doth return to me.

²¹ For I have kept the ways of Jehovah, And have not done wickedly against my God.
