Psalms 14:3-5 in English

³ They are all gone aside; they are together become filthy; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.

⁴ Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And call not upon Jehovah?

⁵ There were they in great fear; For God is in the generation of the righteous.

³ Who has not spoken craftily with his tongue, neither has done evil to his neighbour, nor taken up a reproach against them that dwelt nearest to him.

⁴ In his sight an evil-worker is set at nought, but he honours them that fear the Lord. He swears to his neighbour, and disappoints him not.

⁵ He has not lent his money on usury, and has not received bribes against the innocent. He that does these things shall never be moved.

⁴ Will those evil people never learn what God will do to punish them RHQ? They act violently toward Yahweh's people while eating the food that he provides, and they never pray to Yahweh.

⁵ But some day they will become very terrified because God helps those who act righteously and will punish those who reject him.

⁴ In his sight the malignant is brought to nothing: but he glorifieth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his neighbour, and deceiveth not;

⁵ He that hath not put out his money to usury, nor taken bribes against the innocent: He that doth these things shall not be moved for ever.

³ They have all gone their own way, they are totally depraved; none of them does anything good, not even one.

⁴ Won't these people who do evil ever learn? They consume my people as if they were eating bread, and refuse to pray to the Lord.

⁵ Look, they will become terrified, because God is with those who live right.

³ All are gone out of the way: they are all corrupt: there is none that doeth good, no not one.

⁴ Doe not all the workers of iniquitie know that they eate vp my people, as they eate bread? they call not vpon the Lord.

⁵ There they shall be taken with feare, because God is in the generation of the iust.

³ They are all corrupt, they are together become impure; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

⁴ 'Shall not all the workers of iniquity know it, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD?'

⁴ Have they learnt their lesson, those workers of evil? Who ate up my people, eating, devouring, never calling to the Lord.

⁵ Sore afraid will they be; for God is amongst those who are righteous,

³ All bowed away, altogether they be made unprofitable; none is that doeth good, none is till to one. The throat of them is an open sepulchre, they did guilefully with their tongues; the venom of snakes is under their lips. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet be swift to shed out blood. Sorrow and cursed-ness is in the ways of them, and they knew not the way of peace; the dread of God is not before their eyes.

⁴ Whether all men that work wicked-ness shall not know; that devour my people, as meat of bread? They called not the Lord;

⁵ they trembled there for dread, where was no dread; for the Lord is in a rightful or rightwise generation.

³ All bowed away, (al)together they be made unprofitable; none is that doeth good, none is till to one, (or But they all have turned away, they all be made utterly unredeemable; there is no one who doeth good, no not one). The throat of them is an open sepulchre, they did guilefully with their tongues; the venom of snakes is under their lips. Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; their feet be swift to shed out blood. Sorrow and cursedness is in the ways of them, and they knew not the way of peace; the dread of God is not before their eyes.

⁴ Whether all men that work wickedness shall not know; that devour my people, as (the) meat of bread? They called not the Lord; (Surely all those, who do evil, already know this; yea, they who devour my people, like men eat bread. They do not call on the Lord;)

⁵ they trembled there for dread, where was no dread; for the Lord is in a rightful generation. (but they trembled there in fear, like never before. For the Lord is with the upright generation.)

³ The whole have turned aside, Together they have been filthy: There is not a doer of good, not even one.

⁴ Have all working iniquity not known? Those consuming my people have eaten bread, Jehovah they have not called.

⁵ There they have feared a fear, For God is in the generation of the righteous.
