² Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.

³ Let them praise his name in the dance: Let them sing praises unto him with timbrel and harp.

⁴ For Jehovah taketh pleasure in his people: He will beautify the meek with salvation.

⁵ Let the saints exult in glory: Let them sing for joy upon their beds.

⁶ Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand;

⁷ To execute vengeance upon the nations, And punishments upon the peoples;

⁸ To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron;

⁹ To execute upon them the judgment written: This honor have all his saints. Praise ye Jehovah.

² You Israeli people, be glad because of what God, who created you, has done for you! You people of Jerusalem, rejoice because of what God your king has done for you!

³ Praise Yahweh by dancing, by beating/playing tambourines, and by playing harps to praise him!

⁴ Yahweh is pleased with his people; he honors humble people by helping them to defeat their enemies.

⁵ God's people should rejoice because they have won battles and they should sing joyfully all during the night!

⁶ They MTY should shout loudly to praise God; but they should also hold sharp swords in their hands,

⁷ ready to use them to defeat the soldiers of nations that do not worship God, and to punish the people of those nations,

⁸ and to fasten the arms and legs of their kings and other leaders with iron chains,

⁹ to judge and punish the people of those nations, like God wrote/declared should be done. It is ◄a privilege/an honor► for God's faithful people to do that! Praise Yahweh!

⁹ To give them the punishment which is in the holy writings: this honour is given to all his saints. Praise be to the Lord.

⁷ ready to take revenge on the nations, to punish the foreign peoples,

⁸ to imprison their kings in shackles and their leaders in iron chains,

⁹ to impose the judgment decreed against them. This is an honor for all his faithful followers. Praise the Lord!

⁹ That they may execute vpon them the iudgement that is written: this honour shall be to all his Saintes. Prayse ye the Lord.

⁹ That they make in them the doom written; this is the glory to all his saints.

³ Praise they his name in a quire; say they psalm to him in a tympan, and psaltery. (Praise they his name with a dance; sing they songs to him with a tympan, or with a drum, and a lute./Praise they his name with dancing; sing they songs to him with a tambourine, and a lute.)

⁴ For the Lord is well pleased in his people; and he hath raised mild men into health. (For the Lord is well pleased with his people; and he hath raised up the meek to victory, or and he hath given salvation, or deliverance, to the humble.)

⁵ Saints shall make full out joy in glory; they shall be glad in their beds. (The saints shall rejoice in triumph; they shall sing joyfully all night long.)

⁶ The full out joyings of God in the throat of them; and swords sharp on both sides in the hands of them. (Let there be rejoicing for God on their lips or in their mouths; and let sharp swords be in their hands.)

⁷ To do vengeance in nations; and blamings in peoples. (To bring vengeance to the nations; and to punish the peoples.)

⁸ To bind the kings of them in stocks; and the noble men of them in iron manacles. (To bind up their kings in the stocks; and their noble men in iron manacles.)

⁹ That they make in them (the) doom written; this is the glory to all his saints. (So that they execute the judgement written against them; this is the glory for all his saints.)
