¹⁰ He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: He taketh no pleasure in the legs of a man.

¹¹ Jehovah taketh pleasure in them that fear him, In those that hope in his lovingkindness.

¹² Praise Jehovah, O Jerusalem; Praise thy God, O Zion.

¹³ For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; He hath blessed thy children within thee.

¹⁴ He maketh peace in thy borders; He filleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

¹⁵ He sendeth out his commandment upon earth; His word runneth very swiftly.

¹⁶ He giveth snow like wool; He scattereth the hoar-frost like ashes.

¹⁷ He casteth forth his ice like morsels: Who can stand before his cold?

¹⁸ He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

¹⁰ He is not pleased with strong horses or with men who can run MTY fast.

¹¹ Instead, what pleases him are those who revere him, those who confidently expect him to continue to faithfully love them.

¹² You people of APO Jerusalem, praise Yahweh! Praise your God!

¹³ He guards your city by keeping its gates strong. He blesses the people who live there.

¹⁴ He protects the borders of your country, so that enemies from other countries cannot attack you. He gives you plenty of very good wheat/grain to eat.

¹⁵ He commands what he wants to be done on the earth, and his words quickly come to the place to which he sends them.

¹⁶ He sends snow which covers the ground like a white wool blanket SIM, and he scatters frost on the ground like wind scatters ashes SIM.

¹⁷ He sends hail down like ◄pebbles/tiny stones►; when that happens, ◄it is very difficult to endure because the air becomes very cold./who can endure because the air becomes very cold?► RHQ

¹⁸ But he commands the wind to blow, and it blows. Then the hail melts and the water flows into the streams.

¹³ He has made strong the iron bands of your doors; he has sent blessings on your children inside your walls.

¹⁴ He gives peace in all your land, making your stores full of fat grain.

¹⁵ He sends out his orders to the earth; his word goes out quickly.

¹⁶ He gives snow like wool; he sends out ice-drops like dust.

¹⁷ He sends down ice like raindrops: water is made hard by his cold.

¹⁸ At the outgoing of his word, the ice is turned to water; when he sends out his wind, there is a flowing of waters.

¹⁰ The Lord doesn't appreciate the strength of war-horses or value human power.

¹¹ What the Lord values are those who follow him, those who put their confidence in his trustworthy love.

¹³ He makes the bars on your city gates strong, and blesses your children around you.

¹⁴ He keeps the borders of your land safe from attack; he provides you with plenty of the finest wheat.

¹⁵ He sends his commands around the world—they're quickly implemented.

¹⁶ He sends snow as white as wool, and scatters frost like ashes.

¹⁷ He throws hail like stones. Who can stand the cold he sends?

¹⁸ Then he sends out his command and it melts; he blows on it and the water flows.

¹⁰ He hath not pleasure in the strength of an horse, neither delighteth he in the legs of man.

¹¹ But the Lord deliteth in them that feare him, and attende vpon his mercie.

¹⁷ He casteth foorth his yce like morsels: who can abide the colde thereof?

¹⁸ He sendeth his worde and melteth them: he causeth his winde to blowe, and the waters flowe.

¹⁷ He who casteth down his ice like pieces: before his cold who can stand?

¹⁸ He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and waters run along.

¹⁴ Which hath set thy coasts peace; and filleth thee with the fatness of wheat.

¹⁶ Which giveth snow as wool; he spreadeth abroad a cloud as ashes.

¹⁷ He sendeth his crystal as morsels; who shall be able to suffer before the face of his coldness?

¹⁸ He shall send out his word, and shall melt those or them; his spirit shall blow, and waters shall flow.

¹⁰ He shall not have will in the strength of an horse; neither it shall be well pleasant to him in the legs of a man. (He shall not take delight in the strength of a horse; nor shall a man’sfast legs be well pleasing to him.)

¹¹ It is well pleasant to the Lord on men that dread him; and in them that hope in his mercy. (But the Lord is well pleased with those who fear him or with those who revere him; and with those who trust in his love.)

¹² Jerusalem, praise thou the Lord; Zion, praise thou thy God.

¹³ For he hath comforted the locks of thy gates; he hath blessed thy sons in thee. (For he hath strengthened the locks of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within them.)

¹⁴ Which hath set thy coasts peace; and filleth thee with the fatness of wheat. (He who hath put thy land at peace; and filleth thee with the finest wheat.)

¹⁵ Which sendeth out his speech to the earth; his word runneth swiftly. (Who sendeth out his word, or his command, to the earth; yea, his word runneth swiftly about.)

¹⁶ Which giveth snow as wool; he spreadeth abroad a cloud as ashes. (Who giveth the snow like wool; and he spreadeth abroad the hoarfrost like ashes.)

¹⁷ He sendeth his crystal as morsels; who shall be able to suffer before the face of his coldness? (He sendeth out his ice like morsels; yea, who can survive the cold that he sendeth?)

¹⁸ He shall send out his word, and shall melt those; his spirit shall blow, and waters shall flow. (And then he sendeth out his word, and the ice melteth; and his wind bloweth, and the waters flow.)

¹⁰ Not in the might of the horse doth He delight, Not in the legs of a man is He pleased.

¹¹ Jehovah is pleased with those fearing Him, With those waiting for His kindness.
