³ Jehovah, what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that thou makest account of him?

⁴ Man is like to vanity: His days are as a shadow that passeth away.

⁵ Bow thy heavens, O Jehovah, and come down: Touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

⁶ Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; Send out thine arrows, and discomfit them.

⁷ Stretch forth thy hand from above; Rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, Out of the hand of aliens;

⁸ Whose mouth speaketh deceit, And whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

⁹ I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: Upon a psaltery of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee.

³ The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; and there is no end of his greatness.

⁴ Generation after generation shall praise thy works, and tell of thy power.

⁵ And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of thy holiness, and recount thy wonders.

⁶ And they shall speak of the power of thy terrible acts; and recount thy greatness.

⁷ They shall utter the memory of the abundance of thy goodness, and shall exult in thy righteousness.

⁸ The Lord is compassionate, and merciful; long-suffering, and abundant in mercy.

⁹ The Lord is good to those that wait on him; and his compassions are over all his works.

³ Yahweh, we people are very insignificant/unimportant, so why ◄are you concerned/do you care about us► RHQ? It is amazing to me that you pay attention to humans.

⁴ The time that we live is as short as SIM a puff of wind; our time to live disappears like a shadow does.

⁵ Yahweh, ◄tear open/open up► the sky and come down! Touch the mountains in order that smoke will pour out from them!

⁶ Cause lightning to flash with the result that your enemies will run away! Shoot your arrows at them and cause them to ◄run away/scatter►.

⁷ It is as though my enemies surround me like a flood; reach your hand down from heaven and rescue me from them SYN. They are men from other countries

⁸ who SYN always tell lies. Even in a courtroom where they swear to tell the truth they tell lies.

⁹ God, I will sing a new song to you, and I will play my ten-stringed harp while I sing to you.

⁶ With your storm-flames send them in flight: send out your arrows for their destruction.

⁷ Put out your hand from on high; make me free, take me safely out of the great waters, and out of the hands of strange men;

⁸ In whose mouths are false words, and whose right hand is a right hand of deceit.

⁹ I will make a new song to you, O God; I will make melody to you on an instrument of ten cords.

⁶ And they shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and shall declare thy greatness.

⁷ They shall publish the memory of the abundance of thy sweetness: and shall rejoice in thy justice.

⁸ The Lord is gracious and merciful: patient and plenteous in mercy.

⁹ The Lord is sweet to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.

³ Lord, what are human beings that you should care about them? What are people that you should concern yourself with them?

⁴ Humanity is like a breath; their lives are like a passing shadow.

⁵ Part your heavens and come down. Touch the mountains so that they give off smoke.

⁶ Scatter your enemies with flashes of lightning! Let your arrows fly and send them running in confusion!

⁷ Stretch down your hand from heaven and set me free. Rescue me from raging waters, from the oppression of foreign enemies.

⁸ They are such liars, even telling lies under oath.

⁹ God, I will sing a new song to you, accompanied by a ten-stringed harp,

³ Lord, what is man that thou regardest him! or the sonne of man that thou thinkest vpon him!

⁴ Man is like to vanitie: his dayes are like a shadow, that vanisheth.

⁵ Bow thine heauens, O Lord, and come downe: touch the mountaines and they shall smoke.

⁶ Cast forth the lightning and scatter them: shoote out thine arrowes, and consume them.

⁷ Send thine hand from aboue: deliuer me, and take me out of the great waters, and from the hand of strangers,

⁸ Whose mouth talketh vanitie, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.

⁶ Light thou shining, and thou shalt scatter them; send thou out thine arrows, and thou shalt trouble them.

⁷ Send out thine hand from on high, ravish me out, and deliver thou me from many waters; and from the hand of alien sons.

⁸ The mouth of whom spake vanity; and the right hand of them is the right hand of wickedness.

⁹ God, I shall sing to thee a new song; I shall say psalm to thee in psaltery of ten strings.

³ Lord, what is a man, for thou hast made (thyself) known to him; either the son of man, for thou areckonest him of some value? (Lord, what is man, that thou hast taken notice of him? or that thou carest for him? or the son of a man, that thou reckonest, or esteemest, him of some value?)

⁴ A man is made like vanity; his days pass as shadow. (A person is but like vanity, yea, but a puff of air; his days pass like a shadow.)

⁵ Lord, bow down thine heavens, and come thou down; touch thou the hills, and they shall make smoke.

⁶ Light thou shining, and thou shalt scatter them, (or Send thou forth thy lightning, and thou shalt scatter thy enemies); send thou out thine arrows, and thou shalt trouble them.

⁷ Send out thine hand from on high, ravish me out, and deliver thou me from many waters; and from the hand of alien sons. (Send out thy hand from on high, and take me out of here, that is, rescue me; save thou me from the deep waters, and from the power of foreigners, or of strangers.)

⁸ The mouth of whom spake vanity (or Their mouths spoke lies); and the right hand of them is the right hand of wickedness.

⁹ God, I shall sing to thee a new song; I shall say psalm to thee in psaltery of ten strings (or I shall sing a song to thee to the strains of a ten-stringed lute).

³ Jehovah, what is man that Thou knowest him? Son of man, that Thou esteemest him?

⁴ Man to vanity hath been like, His days are as a shadow passing by.

⁵ Jehovah, incline Thy heavens and come down, Strike against mountains, and they smoke.

⁶ Send forth lightning, and scatter them, Send forth Thine arrows, and trouble them,

⁷ Send forth Thy hand from on high, Free me, and deliver me from many waters, From the hand of sons of a stranger,

⁸ Because their mouth hath spoken vanity, And their right hand is a right hand of falsehood.
