² And enter not into judgment with thy servant; For in thy sight no man living is righteous.

³ For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; He hath smitten my life down to the ground: He hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.

⁴ Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; My heart within me is desolate.

⁵ I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy doings; I muse on the work of thy hands.

⁷ Make haste to answer me, O Jehovah; my spirit faileth: Hide not thy face from me, Lest I become like them that go down into the pit.

⁸ Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; For in thee do I trust: Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; For I lift up my soul unto thee.

⁹ Deliver me, O Jehovah, from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me.

⁷ Send forth thine hand from on high; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hand of strange children;

⁸ whose mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of iniquity.

⁹ O God, I will sing a new song to thee: I will play to thee on a psaltery of ten strings.

³ My enemies have pursued me; they have completely defeated me. It is as though they have put me in a dark prison, where I have nothing good to ◄ hope for/expect►, like those who died long ago SIM.

⁴ So I am very discouraged; I am very dismayed/worried.

⁵ I remember what has happened previously: I ◄meditate on/think about► all the things that you have done; I consider all the great deeds that you SYN have performed.

⁶ I lift up my hands/arms to you while I pray; I SYN need you, like very dry ground needs rain SIM.

⁷ Yahweh, I am very discouraged, so please answer me right now! Do not hide from me, because if you do that, I will soon be SIM among those who descend to where the dead people are.

⁸ Every morning cause me to remember that you faithfully love me, because I trust in you. I ◄pray/send my prayers up IDM► to you; show me what I should do.

⁹ To thee, O God, I will sing a new canticle: on the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings I will sing praises to thee.

² Please don't place me, your servant, on trial, because nobody is innocent in your sight.

³ The enemy has chased me down. He crushes me to the ground. He makes me live in darkness like those who died a long time ago.

⁴ I sense myself fading away inside; I am overwhelmed by a sense of desolation.

⁵ I think of days long ago, and as I meditate I talk to myself about all you have done, I reflect on what you have accomplished.

⁶ I stretch out my hands to you, thirsting for you like dried-out land. Selah.

⁷ Please answer me quickly, Lord! I'm dying! Don't turn away otherwise I'll be just like those who are going down into the grave.

⁸ Tell me every morning about your trustworthy love, because I put my confidence in you. Show me the way I should go, because I dedicate myself to you.

⁹ Save me from those who hate me, Lord—I run to you for protection.

⁸ Make thou early thy mercy heard to me; for I hoped in thee. Make thou known to me the way in which I shall go; for I raised my soul to thee.

² And enter thou not into doom with thy servant; for each man living shall not be made just in thy sight. (And enter thou not into the judgement of thy servant; for no one living can be made right, or justified, before thee.)

³ For the enemy pursued my soul; he made low my life in the earth. He hath set me in dark places, as the dead men of the world, (For the enemy hath pursued me; and he hath brought me down low to the ground. He hath put me in dark places, like the dead of the world,)

⁴ and my spirit was anguished on me; mine heart was troubled in me. (and my spirit was anguished within me; and my heart was troubled within me.)

⁵ I was mindful of eld days, I bethought in all thy works; I bethought in the deeds of thine hands. (I remembered the old days, and I thought about all thy works; yea, I thought about the deeds of thy hands.)

⁶ I held forth mine hands to thee; my soul (was) as earth without water to thee. (I held out my hands to thee; my soul was like dry ground without water, thirsting for thee.)

⁷ Lord, hear thou me swiftly; my spirit failed. Turn thou not away thy face from me; and I shall be like them that go down into the pit. (Lord, swiftly answer thou me; for my spirit faileth or for my spirit fainteth. Turn thou not away thy face from me; or I shall be like those who go down into the pit.)

⁸ Make thou early thy mercy heard to me; for I hoped in thee. Make thou known to me the way in which I shall go; for I raised my soul to thee. (Let me know thy love in the morning; for I put my trust in thee. Let me know which way I should go; for I raise up my soul to thee.)

⁹ Deliver thou me from mine enemies; Lord, I fled to thee; (Save thou me from my enemies; Lord, I fled to thee, or Lord, I flee to thee;)

² And enter not into judgment with Thy servant, For no one living is justified before Thee.

³ For an enemy hath pursued my soul, He hath bruised to the earth my life, He hath caused me to dwell in dark places, As the dead of old.

⁴ And my spirit in me is become feeble, Within me is my heart become desolate.

⁵ I have remembered days of old, I have meditated on all Thine acts, On the work of Thy hand I muse.

⁶ I have spread forth my hands unto Thee, My soul is as a weary land for Thee. Selah.

⁷ Haste, answer me, O Jehovah, My spirit hath been consumed, Hide not Thou Thy face from me, Or I have been compared with those going down to the pit.

⁸ Cause me to hear in the morning Thy kindness, For in Thee I have trusted, Cause me to know the way that I go, For unto Thee I have lifted up my soul.

⁹ Deliver me from mine enemies, O Jehovah, Near Thee I am covered.
