³ They have sharpened their tongue like a serpent; Adders’ poison is under their lips. Selah

⁴ Keep me, O Jehovah, from the hands of the wicked; Preserve me from the violent man: Who have purposed to thrust aside my steps.

³ Set a watch, O Lord, on my mouth, and a strong door about my lips.

⁴ Incline not my heart to evil things, to employ pretexts for sins, with men who work iniquity: and let me not unite with their choice ones.
