¹⁵ My frame was not hidden from thee, When I was made in secret, And curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

¹⁶ Thine eyes did see mine unformed substance; And in thy book they were all written, Even the days that were ordained for me, When as yet there was none of them.

¹⁷ How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

¹⁸ If I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: When I awake, I am still with thee.

¹⁹ Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: Depart from me therefore, ye bloodthirsty men.

²⁰ For they speak against thee wickedly, And thine enemies take thy name in vain.

²¹ Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? And am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

²² I hate them with perfect hatred: They are become mine enemies.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts;

²⁴ And see if there be any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.

¹⁵ When my body was being formed, while it was being put together where no one else could see it, you saw it!

¹⁶ You saw me before I was born. You wrote in your book the number of days that you had decided that I would live. You did that before any of those days had even started!

¹⁷ God, what you think about me is very precious (OR, is very hard to understand). There is a great number of things that you think about.

¹⁸ If I could count them, I would see that they are more than the grains of sand at the seashore. And when I wake up, I am still with you and I know that there are still more of your thoughts about me to count.

¹⁹ God, I desire that you would kill all the wicked people! And I wish that violent MTY men would ◄leave/go away from► me.

²⁰ They say wicked/malicious things about you; they slander your name.

²¹ Yahweh, I certainly RHQ hate those who hate you! And I despise RHQ those who rebel against you.

²² I hate them completely, and I consider that they are my enemies.

²³ God, search my inner being; find out what I am thinking!

²⁴ Find out whether there is anything evil in my inner being, and lead me along the road that leads to my being with you forever.

¹⁹ If only you would put the sinners to death, O God; go far from me, you men of blood.

²⁰ For they go against you with evil designs, and your haters make sport of your name.

²¹ Are not your haters hated by me, O Lord? are not those who are lifted up against you a cause of grief to me?

²² My hate for them is complete; my thoughts of them are as if they were making war on me.

²³ O God, let the secrets of my heart be uncovered, and let my wandering thoughts be tested:

²⁴ See if there is any way of sorrow in me, and be my guide in the eternal way.

¹⁶ You saw me as an embryo, and in your book all my days were written down—the days that were made for me before any of them existed.

¹⁷ God, your thoughts are so valuable to me! Taken together, they can't be counted!

¹⁸ If I tried to count them, they would be more than every grain of sand. Yet when I awake I am still with you.

¹⁹ God, if you would only kill the wicked! Murderers, get away from me!

²⁰ When they speak of you they're being deceptively evil. Since they are your enemies, they call on you in vain.

²¹ Lord, don't I hate those who hate you? I despise those who rebel against you!

²² I hate them with absolute hatred—they have become my enemies!

²³ Examine me carefully, God, so you can be sure of my true feelings. Check me out so you can know what I really think.

²⁴ Please show me if I'm following any kind of idol, and lead me along the path of eternal life.

¹⁹ For thou, God, shalt slay sinners; ye men-quellers, bow away from me.

²⁰ For they say in thought; Take they their cities in vanity.

²¹ Lord, whether I hated not them that hated thee; and I failed, that is, mourned greatly, on thine enemies?

²² By perfect hatred I hated them; they were made enemies to me.

²³ God, prove thou me, and know thou mine heart; ask thou me, and know thou my paths.

²⁴ And see thou, if way of wicked-ness is in me; and lead thou me forth in the everlasting way.

¹⁵ My bone, which thou madest in private, is not hid from thee; and my substance (formed) in the lower parts of earth. (My bones, which thou madest in secret, be not a mystery to thee; yea, when my substance was formed in the lower parts of the earth.)

¹⁶ Thine eyes saw mine unperfect thing, and all men shall be written in thy book; days shall be formed, and no man is in those. (Thine eyes saw my imperfect substance, and all was written in thy Book; but when those days were formed, no man was there.)

¹⁷ Forsooth, God, thy friends be made honourable full much to me; the princehood of them is comforted full much. (But, God, how deep be thy thoughts to me; and how many of them there be!)

¹⁸ I shall number them, and they shall be multiplied above the gravel; I rose up, and yet I am with thee. (If I tried to count them all up, their number would be more than all the grains of sand. And then I awake; and still I am with thee.)

¹⁹ For thou, God, shalt slay sinners; ye men-quellers, bow away from me. (O God, I wish that thou wouldest kill the sinners; ye murderers, go far away from me!)

²⁰ For they say in thought; Take they their cities in vanity. (For out loud they say against thee, We shall take thy name in vain.)

²¹ Lord, whether I hated not them that hated thee; and I failed, that is, mourned greatly, on (those who be) thine enemies? (Lord, how I hate those who hate thee; and I am greatly grieved by those who be thy enemies!)

²² By perfect hatred I hated them; they were made enemies to me. (Yea, with perfect hatred I hate them; they be made my enemies too.)

²³ God, prove thou me, and know thou mine heart; ask thou me, and know thou my paths. (God, assay, or test, thou me, and know thou my heart; ask thou me, and know thou my thoughts.)

²⁴ And see thou, if way of wickedness is in me; and lead thou me forth in the everlasting way. (And see thou, if there be found any way of wickedness in me; and then lead thou me forth in the everlasting way.)

¹⁹ Dost Thou slay, O God, the wicked? Then, men of blood, turn aside from me!

²⁰ Who exchange Thee for wickedness, Lifted up to vanity are Thine enemies.

²¹ Do not I hate, Jehovah, those hating Thee? And with Thy withstanders grieve myself?

²² With perfect hatred I have hated them, Enemies they have become to me.

²³ Search me, O God, and know my heart, Try me, and know my thoughts,

²⁴ And see if a grievous way be in me, And lead me in a way age-during!
