Psalms 132:3-16 in American Standard Version (1901)

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, Nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids;
5 Until I find out a place for Jehovah, A tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6 Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah: We found it in the field of the wood.
7 We will go into his tabernacles; We will worship at his footstool.
8 Arise, O Jehovah, into thy resting-place; Thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; And let thy saints shout for joy.
10 For thy servant David’s sake Turn not away the face of thine anointed.
11 Jehovah hath sworn unto David in truth; He will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
12 If thy children will keep my covenant And my testimony that I shall teach them, Their children also shall sit upon thy throne for evermore.
13 For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it for his habitation.
14 This is my resting-place for ever: Here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Her priests also will I clothe with salvation; And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Psalms 132:3-16 in Translation for Translators

3 He said, “I will not go home, I will not rest on my bed,
4 I will not sleep at all
5 until I build a place for Yahweh, a home for the mighty God whom Jacob worshiped.”
6 In Bethlehem we heard news about the sacred chest. We went and found it in the fields of Jearim city, and we took it to Jerusalem.
7 Later we said, “Let's go to the temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem; let's worship there in front of the throne where he sits.”
8 Yahweh, come to the place where you live eternally, to the place where your sacred chest is, to that place that shows that you are very powerful.
9 I want/desire that the righteous behavior of your priests will always be evident, just like the beautiful robes that they wear MET, and that your people will always shout joyfully.
10 You chose David to serve you as king of Israel; do not reject/abandon him!
11 Yahweh, you made a solemn promise to David, a promise that you will not break. You said, “I will cause your descendants to rule MTY as kings like you.
12 If they keep my agreement with them and obey all the commands that I will give them, the line of kings descended from you will never end.”
13 Yahweh has chosen Jerusalem; he has wanted to make that city his home;
14 he said, “This is the city where I will live forever DOU; this is the place where I wanted to stay.
15 I will give to the people of Jerusalem all that they need; I will give enough food even to satisfy the poor people there.
16 I will cause the priests to behave in a manner worthy of being ones whom I have saved; that will be as evident as the beautiful robes that they wear MET; and all my people who live there will shout joyfully.

Psalms 132:3-16 in Bible in Basic English

3 Truly, I will not come into my house, or go to my bed,
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or rest to my eyeballs,
5 Till I have got a place for the Lord, a resting-place for the great God of Jacob.
6 We had news of it at Ephrathah: we came to it in the fields of the wood.
7 Let us go into his tent; let us give worship at his feet.
8 Come back, O Lord, to your resting-place; you and the ark of your strength.
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness; and let your saints give cries of joy.
10 Because of your servant David, do not give up your king.
11 The Lord gave a true oath to David, which he will not take back, saying, I will give your kingdom to the fruit of your body.
12 If your children keep my word, and the teachings which I will give them, their children will be rulers of your kingdom for ever.
13 For the Lord's heart is on Zion, desiring it for his resting-place.
14 This is my rest for ever: here will I ever be; for this is my desire.
15 My blessing will be on her food; and her poor will be full of bread.
16 Her priests will be clothed with salvation; and her saints will give cries of joy.

3 “I will not go home, I will not go to bed,
4 I will not go to sleep, I will not take a nap,
5 until I find a place where the Lord can live, a home for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 In Ephrathah we received information about the Ark of Agreement, and we found it in fields near Jaar.
7 Let's go to the place where the Lord lives and bow down at his feet in worship.
8 Come, Lord, and enter your home, together with your Ark of your power.
9 May your priests wear goodness like clothing; may your faithful people shout for joy.
10 For the sake of your servant David, don't reject the king you have chosen.
11 The Lord made a solemn promise to David, one he will never cancel—“I will put one of your descendants on your throne.
12 If your sons keep to my agreement and my laws that I will teach them, then their sons will always occupy your throne.”
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion, wanting to make his home there, saying:
14 “This will always be my home; this is where I want to live.
15 I will provide the people of the city with all they need; I will feed the poor.
16 I will clothe its priests with salvation; and its faithful people will shout for joy.

14 “This is my resting place forever. I will live here, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision. I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation. Her saints will shout aloud for joy.

Psalms 132:3-16 in World English Bible British Edition

3 “Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,
5 until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar.
7 “We will go into his dwelling place. We will worship at his footstool.”
8 Arise, LORD, into your resting place, you, and the ark of your strength.
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness. Let your saints shout for joy!
10 For your servant David’s sake, don’t turn away the face of your anointed one.
11 The LORD has sworn to David in truth. He will not turn from it: “I will set the fruit of your body on your throne.
12 If your children will keep my covenant, my testimony that I will teach them, their children also will sit on your throne forever more.”

Psalms 132:3-16 in Noah Webster Bible

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids,
5 Until I find a place for the LORD, a habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.
6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.
7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.
8 Arise, O LORD, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.
9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.
10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thy anointed.
11 The LORD hath sworn in truth to David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them; their children also shall sit upon thy throne for ever.
13 For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

Psalms 132:3-16 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling

3 I shall not enter into the taber-nacle of mine house; I shall not ascend or go up into the bed of my resting.
4 I shall not give sleep to mine eyes; and napping to mine eyelids.
5 And rest to my temples, till I find a place to the Lord; a tabernacle to the God of Jacob.
6 Lo! we heard that the ark of the testament is in Ephratah or we have heard of it in Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the wood.
7 We shall enter into the tabernacle of him; we shall worship in the place, where his feet stood.
8 Lord, rise thou into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thine hallowing.
9 Thy priests be clothed with right-fulness or rightwiseness; and thy saints make full out joy.
10 For David, thy servant; turn thou not away the face of thy christ.
11 The Lord swore in truth to David, and he shall not make him in vain; Of the fruit of thy womb I shall set on thy seat.
12 If thy sons shall keep my testament; and my witnessings, these which I shall teach them. And the sons of them till into the world; they shall set on thy seat.
13 For the Lord chose Zion; he chose it into a dwelling to himself.
14 This is my rest into the world of world; I shall dwell here, for I chose it.
15 I blessing shall bless the widow of it; I shall ful fill with loaves the poor men of it.
16 I shall clothe with health the priests thereof; and the holy men thereof shall make full out joy in full out joying or rejoicing.

Psalms 132:3-16 in Young's Literal Translation

3 'If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,
4 If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids — slumber,
5 Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6 'Lo, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.
7 We come in to His tabernacles, We bow ourselves at His footstool.
8 Arise, O Jehovah, to Thy rest, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength,
9 Thy priests do put on righteousness, And Thy pious ones cry aloud.
10 For the sake of David Thy servant, Turn not back the face of Thine anointed.
11 Jehovah hath sworn truth to David, He turneth not back from it: Of the fruit of thy body, I set on the throne for thee.
12 If thy sons keep My covenant, And My testimonies that I teach them, Their sons also for ever and ever, Do sit on the throne for thee.
13 For Jehovah hath fixed on Zion, He hath desired it for a seat to Himself,
14 This is My rest for ever and ever, Here do I sit, for I have desired it.
15 Her provision I greatly bless, Her needy ones I satisfy with bread,
16 And her priests I clothe with salvation, And her pious ones do sing aloud.
