² How he sware unto Jehovah, And vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, Nor go up into my bed;

⁴ I will not give sleep to mine eyes, Or slumber to mine eyelids;

⁵ Until I find out a place for Jehovah, A tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.

⁶ Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah: We found it in the field of the wood.

⁷ We will go into his tabernacles; We will worship at his footstool.

² It is as ointment on the head, that ran down to the beard, even the beard of Aaron; that ran down to the fringe of his clothing.

³ As the dew of Aermon, that comes down on the mountains of Sion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for ever.

² He made a solemn promise to you, the mighty God whom our ancestor Jacob worshiped.

³ He said, “I will not go home, I will not rest on my bed,

⁴ I will not sleep at all

⁵ until I build a place for Yahweh, a home for the mighty God whom Jacob worshiped.”

⁶ In Bethlehem we heard news about the sacred chest. We went and found it in the fields of Jearim city, and we took it to Jerusalem.

⁷ Later we said, “Let's go to the temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem; let's worship there in front of the throne where he sits.”

² How he made an oath to the Lord, and gave his word to the great God of Jacob, saying,

³ Truly, I will not come into my house, or go to my bed,

⁴ I will not give sleep to my eyes, or rest to my eyeballs,

⁵ Till I have got a place for the Lord, a resting-place for the great God of Jacob.

⁶ We had news of it at Ephrathah: we came to it in the fields of the wood.

⁷ Let us go into his tent; let us give worship at his feet.

² How he swore unto Jehovah, vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ I will not come into the tent of my house, I will not go up to the couch of my bed;

⁴ I will not give sleep to mine eyes, slumber to mine eyelids,

⁵ Until I find out a place for Jehovah, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob. ...

⁶ Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah, we found it in the fields of the wood.

⁷ Let us go into his habitations, let us worship at his footstool.

² Like the precious ointment on the head, that ran down upon the beard, the beard of Aaron, Which ran down to the skirt of his garment:

³ As the dew of Hermon, which descendeth upon mount Sion. For there the Lord hath commandeth blessing, and life for evermore.

² He made a promise to the Lord, a vow to the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ “I will not go home, I will not go to bed,

⁴ I will not go to sleep, I will not take a nap,

⁵ until I find a place where the Lord can live, a home for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

⁶ In Ephrathah we received information about the Ark of Agreement, and we found it in fields near Jaar.

⁷ Let's go to the place where the Lord lives and bow down at his feet in worship.

² Who sware vnto the Lord, and vowed vnto the mightie God of Iaakob, saying,

³ I will not enter into the tabernacle of mine house, nor come vpon my pallet or bed,

⁴ Nor suffer mine eyes to sleepe, nor mine eye lids to slumber,

⁵ Vntill I finde out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mightie God of Iaakob.

⁶ Lo, we heard of it in Ephrathah, and found it in the fieldes of the forest.

⁷ We will enter into his Tabernacles, and worship before his footestoole.

² How he swore unto the LORD, and vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ 'Surely I will not come into the tent of my house, nor go up into the bed that is spread for me;

⁴ I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids;

⁵ Until I find out a place for the LORD, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob.'

⁶ Lo, we heard of it as being in Ephrath; we found it in the field of the wood.

⁷ Let us go into His dwelling-place; let us worship at His footstool.

⁷ let us then go into his dwelling: let us prostrate ourselves before his footstool.”

² How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ “I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,

⁴ I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,

⁵ Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

⁶ Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.

⁷ Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!

² the oath that he swore to the Lord, and his vow to the Strong One of Jacob,

³ never to enter his tent, never to lie on his bed,

⁴ never to give his eyes sleep or his eyelids slumber,

⁵ till he had found a place for the Lord, for the Strong One of Jacob to live in.

⁶ We heard of it in Ephrathah, in the fields of Jaar we found it.

⁷ We went to the place where he dwelt, we bowed ourselves low at his footstool.

² the oath that he swore to the Lord, and his vow to the Strong One of Jacob,

³ never to enter his tent, never to lie on his bed,

⁴ never to give his eyes sleep or his eyelids slumber,

⁵ till he had found a place for the Lord, for the Strong One of Jacob to live in.

⁶ We heard of it in Ephrathah, in the fields of Jaar we found it.

⁷ We went to the place where he dwelt, we bowed ourselves low at his footstool.

² how he swore to Adonai , and vowed to the 'Avir Ya'akov Mighty One of Supplanter:

³ “Surely I will not come into the structure of my house, nor go up into my bed;

⁴ I will not give sleep to my eyes, or slumber to my eyelids;

⁵ until I find out a place for Adonai, a dwelling for the 'Avir Ya'akov Mighty One of Supplanter.”

⁶ Behold, we sh'ma ·heard obeyed· of it in Ephrathah. We found it in the field of Jaar:

⁷ “We will go into his dwelling place. We will hawa ·bow low, prostrate· to worship at his footstool.

² Call to mind how he swore to Yahweh, how he vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob.

³ He said, “I will not enter my house or get into my bed,

⁴ I will not give sleep to my eyes or rest to my eyelids

⁵ until I find a place for Yahweh, a tabernacle for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

⁷ We will go into God's tabernacle; we will worship at his footstool.

² As he swore to the Lord; he made a vow to the God of Jacob.

³ I shall not enter into the taber-nacle of mine house; I shall not ascend or go up into the bed of my resting.

⁴ I shall not give sleep to mine eyes; and napping to mine eyelids.

⁵ And rest to my temples, till I find a place to the Lord; a tabernacle to the God of Jacob.

⁶ Lo! we heard that the ark of the testament is in Ephratah or we have heard of it in Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the wood.

⁷ We shall enter into the tabernacle of him; we shall worship in the place, where his feet stood.

² As he swore to the Lord; he made a vow to the God of Jacob.

³ I shall not enter into the tabernacle of mine house; I shall not ascend into the bed of my resting.

⁴ I shall not give sleep to mine eyes; and napping to mine eyelids. (I shall not give sleep to my eyes; or napping to my eyelids.)

⁵ And rest to my temples, till I find a place to the Lord; a tabernacle to the God of Jacob. (Until I find a place for the Lord; yea, a dwelling place for the Mighty God of Jacob.)

⁶ Lo! we heard that (the) ark of (the) testament (is) in Ephratah, or Lo! we have heard (of) it in Ephratah; we found it in the fields of the wood. (Behold! we have heard that the Covenant Box is in Ephratah; we found it in the fields of Jaar, (or of Jearim).)

⁷ We shall enter into the tabernacle of him (or We shall go into his Tabernacle, or his dwelling place); we shall worship in the place, where his feet stood.

² Who hath sworn to Jehovah. He hath vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

³ 'If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,

⁴ If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids — slumber,

⁵ Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob.

⁶ 'Lo, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.

⁷ We come in to His tabernacles, We bow ourselves at His footstool.
