Psalms 128:2-5 in English

² For thou shalt eat the labor of thy hands: Happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

³ Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of thy house; Thy children like olive plants, Round about thy table.

⁴ Behold, thus shall the man be blessed That feareth Jehovah.

⁵ Jehovah bless thee out of Zion: And see thou the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

² Many a time have they warred against me from my youth: and yet they prevailed not against me.

³ The sinners wrought upon my back: they prolonged their iniquity.

⁴ The righteous Lord has cut asunder the necks of sinners.

⁵ Let all that hate Sion be put to shame and turned back.

³ Your wife will be like a grapevine that bears many grapes SIM; she will give birth to many children. Your children who sit around your table will be like a strong olive tree that has many shoots growing up around it SIM.

⁴ Every man who reveres Yahweh will be blessed like that.

⁵ I wish/hope that Yahweh will bless all of you from where he dwells ◄on Zion Hill/ in Jerusalem► and that you will see the people of Jerusalem prospering every day that you live!

² Often have they fought against me from my youth: but they could not prevail over me.

³ The wicked have wrought upon my back: they have lengthened their iniquity.

⁴ The Lord who is just will cut the necks of sinners:

⁵ Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Sion.

² You will eat what your own hands have produced. You will be happy and do well.

³ Your wife will be like a fruitful vine growing in your home. Your children will be like the shoots of an olive tree around your table.

⁴ This will certainly be the Lord's blessing on those who worship him.

⁵ May the Lord go on blessing you from Zion; may you see Jerusalem prosper all the days of your life.

³ Thy wife shalbe as the fruitfull vine on the sides of thine house, and thy children like the oliue plantes round about thy table.

⁴ Lo, surely thus shall the man be blessed, that feareth the Lord.

⁵ The Lord shall bless you from Zion. You will see Jerusalem nourish all the days of your life.

² You will eat what your hands have toiled for, and be happy and prosperous!

³ Like a fruitful vine shall your wife be in the innermost room of your house: your children, like olive shoots, round about your table.

⁴ See! This is the blessing of the man who fears the Lord.

⁵ The Lord shall bless you from Zion. You will see Jerusalem nourish all the days of your life.

⁴ Yes, indeed, the man will be blessed who honors Yahweh.

³ Thy wife shall be as a plenteous vine; in the sides of thine house. Thy sons as the new springs of olive trees; in the compass of thy board. (Thy wife shall be like a fruitful vine; by the side of thy house. And thy sons and thy daughters shall be like the new branches of olive trees; all around thy table.)

⁴ Lo! so a man shall be blessed; that dreadeth the Lord. (Behold! so shall the man be blessed; who feareth the Lord or who hath reverence for the Lord.)

⁵ The Lord bless thee from Zion; and see thou the goods of Jerusalem in all the days of thy life. (May the Lord bless thee from Zion; and may thou see the prosperity of Jerusalem or and may thou share in the prosperity of Jerusalem, all the days of thy life.)

² The labour of thy hands thou surely eatest, Happy art thou, and good is to thee.

³ Thy wife is as a fruitful vine in the sides of thy house, Thy sons as olive plants around thy table.

⁴ Lo, surely thus is the man blessed who is fearing Jehovah.

⁵ Jehovah doth bless thee out of Zion, Look, then, on the good of Jerusalem, All the days of thy life,
