⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, The stream had gone over our soul;

⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

⁶ Blessed be Jehovah, Who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth.

⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: The snare is broken, and we are escaped.

⁴ Do good, O Lord, to them that are good, and to them that are upright in heart.

⁵ But them that turn aside to crooked ways the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

⁴ They would have been like MET a flood that swept/carried us away; it would have been as though the water would have covered us,

⁵ and we would all have drowned in the flood that was ◄raging/flowing very fast►.

⁶ But praise Yahweh, because he has not allowed our enemies to destroy us like wild animals MET tear apart the creatures that they capture.

⁷ We have escaped from our enemies like a bird escapes from the trap that hunters have set; it is as though the trap that our enemies set for us was broken and we have escaped from it!

⁴ We would have been covered by the waters; the streams would have gone over our soul;

⁵ Yes, the waters of pride would have gone over our soul.

⁶ Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be wounded by their teeth.

⁷ Our soul has gone free like a bird out of the net of those who would take her: the net is broken, and we are free.

⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, a torrent had gone over our soul;

⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

⁶ Blessed be Jehovah, who gave us not up a prey to their teeth!

⁷ Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we have escaped.

⁴ Do good, O Lord, to those that are good, and to the upright of heart.

⁵ But such as turn aside into bonds, the Lord shall lead out with the workers of iniquity: peace upon Israel.

⁴ Like a flood they would have swept over us; like a rushing torrent they would have submerged us.

⁵ They would have rushed over us like raging waters, drowning us.

⁶ Praise the Lord, who didn't hand us over to them as prey to be ripped apart by their teeth.

⁷ We escaped from them like a bird flying out of a hunter's trap. The trap was broken and we flew away!

⁴ Then the waters had drowned vs, and the streame had gone ouer our soule:

⁵ Then had the swelling waters gone ouer our soule.

⁶ Praysed be the Lord, which hath not giuen vs as a praye vnto their teeth.

⁷ Our soule is escaped, euen as a bird out of the snare of the foulers: the snare is broken, and we are deliuered.

⁴ Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul;

⁵ Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.'

⁷ We are like a bird just escaped from the snare of the fowler. The snare is broken, and we are escaped.

⁴ Then the waters would've swept us away, and the torrent passed over us clean:

⁵ then most sure would've passed over us clean the wild seething waters.”

⁶ Blest be the Lord who has given us not to be torn by their teeth.

⁷ We are like a bird just escaped from the snare of the fowler. The snare is broken, and we are escaped.

⁴ then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;

⁵ then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.

⁶ Blessed be Adonai , who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

⁷ Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

⁵ Then the raging waters would have drowned us.”

⁴ in hap water had swallowed us up. Our soul passed through a strand or stream;

⁵ in hap our soul had passed through a water unsufferable.

⁶ Blessed be the Lord; that gave not us into taking or catching of the teeth of them.

⁷ Our soul, as a sparrow, is delivered; from the snare of hunters. The snare is all-broken; and we be delivered.

⁴ in hap water had swallowed us up. Our soul passed through a strand; (the water would have swallowed us up. When the stream had gone up over our heads;)

⁵ in hap our soul had passed through a water unsufferable. (when the insufferable waters had gone up over our heads.)

⁶ Blessed be the Lord; that gave not us into taking, (or) the catching, of the teeth of them. (Blessed be the Lord; who did not allow us to be caught by their teeth.)

⁷ Our soul, as a sparrow, is delivered; from the snare of hunters. The snare is all-broken; and we be delivered. (We have escaped, like a sparrow, from the hunter’s snare. The snare is all-broken; and we be set free.)

⁴ Then the waters had overflowed us, The stream passed over our soul,

⁵ Then passed over our soul had the proud waters.
