¹ A Song of Ascents. I will lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: From whence shall my help come?

² My help cometh from Jehovah, Who made heaven and earth.

³ He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

⁴ Behold, he that keepeth Israel Will neither slumber nor sleep.

⁵ Jehovah is thy keeper: Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand.

⁶ The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night.

¹ A Song of Degrees. I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

² Our feet stood in thy courts, O Jerusalem.

³ Jerusalem is built as a city whose fellowship is complete.

⁴ For thither the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, as a testimony for Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

⁵ For there are set thrones for judgment, even thrones for the house of David.

⁶ Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: and let there be prosperity to them that love thee.

¹ When we travel toward Jerusalem, I look up toward the hills and I ask myself, “Who will help me?”

² And my answer is that Yahweh is the one who helps me; he is the one who made heaven and the earth.

³ He will not allow us to fall/stumble; God, who protects us, will not fall asleep.

⁴ The one who protects us Israeli people never gets sleepy, nor does he sleep LIT.

⁵ Yahweh watches over us; he is like the shade MET that protects us from the sun.

⁶ He will not allow the sun to harm us during the day, and he will not allow the moon to harm us during the night.

⁴ For thither did the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord: the testimony of Israel, to praise the name of the Lord.

⁵ Because their seats have sat in judgment, seats upon the house of David.

⁶ Pray ye for the things that are for the peace of Jerusalem: and abundance for them that love thee.

¹ A song for pilgrims going up to Jerusalem. I look to the hills—but is that where my help comes from?

² My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.

³ He will not let you fall; he who watches over you won't fall asleep.

⁴ In fact he who watches over you doesn't take naps or fall asleep.

⁵ The Lord keeps watch over you; the Lord protects you; he stands right beside you.

⁶ The sun won't hurt you during the day, nor the moon at night.

² Mine helpe commeth from the Lord, which hath made the heauen and the earth.

³ He wil not suffer thy foote to slippe: for he that keepeth thee, will not slumber.

⁴ Beholde, he that keepeth Israel, wil neither slumber nor sleepe.

⁵ The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shadow at thy right hand.

⁴ Behold, the guardian of Israel Doth neither slumber nor sleep.

⁵ The LORD is thy guardian; The LORD is thy shade at thy right hand.

² From the Lord comes help to me the creator of heaven and earth.

³ Your foot he will not let totter: he who guards you will not sleep.

⁴ The guardian of Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

⁵ The Lord is he who guards you your shelter upon your right hand.

⁶ The sun by day shall not strike you, nor the moon by night.

³ The Lord give not thy foot into moving; neither he nap, that keepeth thee. (The Lord shall not let thy foot slip, or stumble; nor shall he nap, who keepeth thee safe.)

⁴ Lo! he shall not nap, neither sleep; that keepeth Israel. (Behold! he, who keepeth Israel safe; shall not nap, or sleep.)

⁵ The Lord keepeth thee; the Lord is thy protection above thy right hand. (The Lord keepeth thee safe; the Lord is thy protection at thy right hand.)

⁵ Jehovah is thy preserver, Jehovah is thy shade on thy right hand,

⁶ By day the sun doth not smite thee, Nor the moon by night.
