⁶⁷ Before I was afflicted I went astray; But now I observe thy word.

⁶⁸ Thou art good, and doest good; Teach me thy statutes.

⁶⁹ The proud have forged a lie against me: With my whole heart will I keep thy precepts.

⁷⁰ Their heart is as fat as grease; But I delight in thy law.

⁷¹ It is good for me that I have been afflicted; That I may learn thy statutes.

⁷² The law of thy mouth is better unto me Than thousands of gold and silver.

⁷³ Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.

⁷⁴ They that fear thee shall see me and be glad, Because I have hoped in thy word.

⁷⁵ I know, O Jehovah, that thy judgments are righteous, And that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

⁷⁶ Let, I pray thee, thy lovingkindness be for my comfort, According to thy word unto thy servant.

⁷⁰ Those proud people ◄are stupid/do not understand your laws► IDM, but as for me, I am delighted with your laws.

⁷¹ It was good for me that you afflicted/punished me, because the result was that I learned ◄your statutes/what you have decreed that we should do►.

⁷² The laws that you MTY gave/told to us are worth more to me than gold, more than thousands of pieces of gold and silver.

⁷³ You created me and formed my body (OR, kept me safe); help me to be wise in order that I may learn ◄your commands/what you have commanded►.

⁷⁴ Those who have an awesome respect for you will see what you have done for me, and they will rejoice, because they will see that I have trusted in ◄your words/what you told us►.

⁷⁵ Yahweh, I know that ◄your regulations/the rules that you have given to us► are right/fair and that you have afflicted/punished me because you faithfully do what you have promised.

⁷⁶ Cause me to be comforted/encouraged by knowing that you faithfully love me, like you said to me that you would do.

⁷⁷ Be merciful to me in order that I may continue to live, because I am delighted with your laws.

⁷⁶ Let your mercy now be my comfort, as you have said to your servant.

⁷⁷ Let your gentle mercies come to me, so that I may have life; for your law is my delight.

⁷⁴ So they that feare thee, seeing mee shall reioyce, because I haue trusted in thy worde.

⁶⁷ Before that I was made meek, I trespassed; therefore I kept thy speech. (Before that I was punished, I trespassed; but thereafter, I have obeyed thy word.)

⁶⁸ Thou art good; and in thy goodness teach thou me thy justifyings. (Thou art good, and thou doest good; teach thou me thy statutes.)

⁶⁹ The wickedness of them that be proud, is multiplied on me; but in all mine heart I shall seek thy behests. (The wicked lies of them, who be proud, be multiplied against me; but I shall follow thy precepts with all my heart.)

⁷⁰ The heart of them is crudded, either made hard, as milk; but I bethought (on) thy law. (Their hearts be like curdled milk; but I delight in thy Law.)

⁷¹ It is good to me, that thou hast made me meek; that I learn thy justifyings. (It was good for me, that thou hast punished me; so that I would learn thy statutes.)

⁷² The law (out) of thy mouth is better to me; than thousands of gold and silver. (The Law from thy mouth meaneth more to me or is more valuable to me, than a fortune in gold and silver.)

⁷³ Jod. Thine hands made me, and formed me; give thou understanding to me, that I learn thy behests. (Thy hands made me, and formed me; now give thou me understanding, so that I can learn thy commandments.)

⁷⁴ They that dread thee shall see me, and they shall be glad; for I hoped more on thy words. (They who fear thee or They who revere thee, shall be glad when they see me; for I trust in thy words.)

⁷⁵ Lord, I knew, that thy dooms be equity; and in thy truth thou hast made me meek. (Lord, I know, that thy judgements be just; and that thou hast punished me because of thy faithfulness.)

⁷⁶ Thy mercy be made, that it comfort me; by thy speech to thy servant. (Let thy love comfort me; yea, according to thy word to thy servant.)

⁷⁷ Thy merciful doings come to me, and I shall live; for thy law is my thinking. (Let thy mercy come to me, and then I shall live; for thy Law is my delight.)

⁶⁷ Before I am afflicted, I — I am erring, And now Thy saying I have kept.

⁶⁸ Good Thou art, and doing good, Teach me Thy statutes.

⁶⁹ Forged against me falsehood have the proud, I with the whole heart keep Thy precepts.

⁷⁰ Insensate as fat hath been their heart, I — in Thy law I have delighted.

⁷¹ Good for me that I have been afflicted, That I might learn Thy statutes.

⁷² Better to me is the law of Thy mouth Than thousands of gold and silver!

⁷³ Yod. Thy hands made me and establish me, Cause me to understand, and I learn Thy commands.

⁷⁴ Those fearing Thee see me and rejoice, Because for Thy word I have hoped.

⁷⁵ I have known, O Jehovah, That righteous are Thy judgments, And in faithfulness Thou hast afflicted me.

⁷⁶ Let, I pray Thee, Thy kindness be to comfort me, According to Thy saying to Thy servant.

⁷⁷ Meet me do Thy mercies, and I live, For Thy law is my delight.
