Proverbs 31:6-12 in English

⁶ Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, And wine unto the bitter in soul:

⁷ Let him drink, and forget his poverty, And remember his misery no more.

⁸ Open thy mouth for the dumb, In the cause of all such as are left desolate.

⁹ Open thy mouth, judge righteously, And minister justice to the poor and needy.

¹⁰ A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he shall have no lack of gain.

¹² She doeth him good and not evil All the days of her life.

¹⁰ Who shall find a virtuous woman? for such a one is more valuable than precious stones.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusts in her: such a one shall stand in no need of fine spoils.

¹² For she employs all her living for her husband's good.

⁶ Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.

⁷ If they drink, they will forget that they are poor, and they will not think about their distress/troubles anymore.

⁸ Speak MTY to defend people who are unable to defend themselves; speak to encourage others to do what is right for those who are helpless.

⁹ Speak MTY ◄on their behalf/to help them► and try to cause judges to decide matters fairly/justly; try to cause others to do for poor and needy people what should be done for them.

¹⁰ It is very difficult for a man to RHQ find a wife who is good and who is capable of doing many things. Any woman who is like that is worth more than jewels.

¹¹ Her husband completely trusts her, and because of her, he has everything that he needs LIT.

¹² She never does anything that would harm him; she does good things for him all the days of her life.

¹⁰ Who may make discovery of a woman of virtue? For her price is much higher than jewels.

¹¹ The heart of her husband has faith in her, and he will have profit in full measure.

¹² She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.

⁶ Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter of soul:

⁹ Open thy mouth, decree that which is just, and do justice to the needy and poor.

¹⁰ Who shall find a valiant woman? far and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall have no need of spoils.

¹² She will render him good, and not evil, all the days of her life.

⁶ Give alcohol to those who are dying, and wine to those who are in terrible distress.

⁷ Let them drink so they can forget their poverty, and not remember their troubles any longer.

⁸ Speak up for those who have no voice, for the rights of those marginalized by society.

⁹ Speak up and judge fairly; defend the poor and destitute.

¹⁰ Who can find a strong, capable wife? She's worth more than jewels!

¹¹ Her husband has complete confidence in her, and with her he'll never be poor.

¹² She brings him good, not evil, all her life.

⁶ Giue ye strong drinke vnto him that is readie to perish, and wine vnto them that haue griefe of heart.

⁷ Let him drinke, that he may forget his pouertie, and remember his miserie no more.

⁸ Open thy mouth for the domme in the cause of all the children of destruction.

⁹ Open thy mouth: iudge righteously, and iudge the afflicted, and the poore.

¹⁰ Who shall finde a vertuous woman? for her price is farre aboue the pearles.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall haue no neede of spoyle.

¹² She will doe him good, and not euill all the dayes of her life.

⁶ Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto the bitter in soul;

¹⁰ Who can find a virtuous woman: for far above pearls is her value.

¹¹ The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, and he will not see his gain diminish.

¹² She treateth him well and not ill, all the days of her life.

¹⁰ Who shall find a virtuous woman? For such a one is more valuable than precious stones.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusts in her: Such a one shall stand in no need of fine spoils.

¹² For she employs all her living for her husband’s good.

¹⁰ Who can find a capable woman? Her worth is far above pearls.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her, And he is in no want of gain.

¹² She doeth him good, and not evil, All the days of her life.

⁷ He will drink and he will forget his poverty and he will not remember his trouble.

⁸ Speak for those who cannot speak, for the causes of all who are perishing.

⁹ Speak out and judge by the measure of what is right and plead the cause of poor and needy people.

¹⁰ Who can find a capable wife? Her value is far more than jewels.

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will never be poor.

¹² She does good things for him and not evil all the days of her life.

¹² She shall yield to him good, and not evil, in all the days of her life.

⁶ Give ye cider to them that mourn, and wine to them that be of bitter soul.

⁷ Drink they, and forget they their neediness; and think they no more on their sorrow.

⁸ Open thy mouth for a dumb man, and open thy mouth for the causes of all sons that pass forth. (Speak thou for the dumb, and for the causes of all those who pass forth before thee.)

⁹ Deem thou that that is just, and deem thou a needy man and a poor man. (Judge thou with judgement, or with discernment, and give thou justice to the needy and to the poor.)

¹⁰ Who shall find a strong woman? the price of her is far, and from the last ends. (Who shall find a woman of virtue? her value is far above anything else.)

¹¹ The heart of her husband trusteth in her; and he shall not have need to robberies. (Her husband trusteth her in his heart; and he shall have no need for robbery, or for theft.)

¹² She shall yield to him good, and not evil, in all the days of her life.

⁶ Give strong drink to the perishing, And wine to the bitter in soul,

⁷ He drinketh, and forgetteth his poverty, And his misery he remembereth not again.

⁸ Open thy mouth for the dumb, For the right of all sons of change.

⁹ Open thy mouth, judge righteously, Both the cause of the poor and needy!'

¹⁰ A woman of worth who doth find? Yea, far above rubies is her price.

¹¹ The heart of her husband hath trusted in her, And spoil he lacketh not.

¹² She hath done him good, and not evil, All days of her life.
