Proverbs 24:32-33 in English

³² Then I beheld, and considered well; I saw, and received instruction:

³³ Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep;

³² Afterwards I reflected, I looked that I might receive instruction.

³³ The sluggard says, I slumber a little, and I sleep a little, and for a little while I fold my arms across my breast.

³² Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction.

³³ Thou wilt sleep a little, said I, thou wilt slumber a little, thou wilt fold thy hands a little to rest:

³² As I looked I thought about it, and what I saw taught me a lesson:

³³ You may say, “Please, just a little more sleep, a little longer snooze, a little more folding of the arms to rest”—

³² Then I behelde, and I considered it well: I looked vpon it, and receiued instruction.

³³ How long sleepest thou, slow man? when shalt thou rise from sleep? Soothly thou shalt sleep a little, thou shalt nap a little, thou shalt join together the hands a little, to take rest;

³² And when I had seen this thing, I setted (it) in mine heart, and by ensample, I learned (the) teaching. (And when I had seen this, I put it in my heart, and by example, I learned the lesson.)

³³ How long sleepest thou, slow man? when shalt thou rise from sleep? Soothly thou shalt sleep a little, thou shalt nap a little, thou shalt join together the hands a little, to take rest; (How long sleepest thou, O lazy man? when shalt thou rise from sleep? Truly thou shalt sleep a little, thou shalt nap a little, and then thou shalt join together thy hands a little, and take rest again;)

³² And I see — I — I do set my heart, I have seen — I have received instruction,

³³ A little sleep — a little slumber — A little folding of the hands to lie down.
