² For their heart studieth oppression, And their lips talk of mischief.

³ Through wisdom is a house builded; And by understanding it is established;

⁴ And by knowledge are the chambers filled With all precious and pleasant riches.

⁵ A wise man is strong; Yea, a man of knowledge increaseth might.

⁶ For by wise guidance thou shalt make thy war; And in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

⁷ Wisdom is too high for a fool: He openeth not his mouth in the gate.

² For their heart meditates falsehoods, and their lips speak mischiefs.

³ A house is built by wisdom, and is set up by understanding.

⁴ By discretion the chambers are filled with all precious and excellent wealth.

⁵ A wise man is better than a strong man; and a man who has prudence than a large estate.

⁶ War is carried on with generalship, and aid is supplied to the heart of a counsellor.

⁷ Wisdom and good understanding are in the gates of the wise: the wise turn not aside from the mouth of the Lord,

² because they are constantly thinking about acting violently, and whenever they speak MTY, they talk about ◄causing trouble/hurting someone►.

³ People make good houses (OR, families) by doing what is wise, and they make their houses (OR, families) strong by heeding good advice.

⁴ By using good sense, they are able to buy valuable and beautiful things and put them in the rooms of their houses.

⁵ Being wise is better than being strong/powerful; those who know many things can accomplish more than those who are very strong.

⁶ Leaders can fight battles if they have wise advisors, and they win those battles if they have many good advisors.

⁷ Foolish people cannot understand wise sayings/talk; at public meetings they are not able to say anything that is useful.

⁶ For by wise guiding you will overcome in war: and in a number of wise guides there is salvation.

⁷ Wisdom is outside the power of the foolish: he keeps his mouth shut in the public place.

⁴ By instruction the storerooms shall be filled with all precious and most beautiful wealth.

⁵ A wise man is strong: and a knowing man, stout and valiant.

⁶ Because war is managed by due ordering: and there shall be safety where there are many counsels.

⁷ Wisdom is too high for a fool, in the gate he shall not open his mouth.

² for they think up cruel plans and discuss how to cause trouble.

³ A house is built by wisdom; its foundation is made secure through understanding.

⁴ Its rooms are filled by knowledge with all kinds of valuable and beautiful objects.

⁵ If you have wisdom, you are strong; if you have knowledge, your power increases,

⁶ for with wise guidance you can go to war; you will be victorious by having many good advisors.

⁷ Wisdom goes over the heads of stupid people; they have nothing to contribute when important matters are discussed.

² For their heart imagineth destruction, and their lippes speake mischiefe.

³ Through wisdome is an house builded, and with vnderstanding it is established.

⁴ And by knowledge shall the chambers bee filled with all precious, and pleasant riches.

⁵ A wise man is strong: for a man of vnderstanding encreaseth his strength.

⁶ For with counsel thou shalt enterprise thy warre, and in the multitude of them that can giue counsell, is health.

⁷ Wisdome is hie to a foole: therefore he can not open his mouth in the gate.

⁵ A wise man is strong, and a learned man is stalworthy and mighty.

⁶ For why battle is begun with ordinance; and health shall be, where many counsels be.

⁷ Wisdom is high to a fool; in the gate he shall not open his mouth.

² For the soul of them bethinketh (on) ravens, and their lips speak frauds. (For their minds think about robberies, and their lips speak lies.)

³ An house shall be builded by wisdom, and it shall be made strong by prudence, (or by understanding).

⁴ The Cellars shall be filled in teaching, with all riches precious and full fair. (By knowledge and study, the cellars shall be filled with all precious and beautiful things of riches.)

⁵ A wise man is strong, and a learned man is stalworthy and mighty.

⁶ For why battle is begun with ordinance; and health shall be, where many counsels be. (For battle is begun with forethought; and victory shall be, where there be many plans, or much good advice.)

⁷ Wisdom is high to a fool; in the gate he shall not open his mouth. (Wisdom is too high for a fool to reach; in court or at the city gates, he shall not even dare to open his mouth.)

² For destruction doth their heart meditate, And perverseness do their lips speak.

³ By wisdom is a house builded, And by understanding it establisheth itself.

⁴ And by knowledge the inner parts are filled, With all precious and pleasant wealth.

⁵ Mighty is the wise in strength, And a man of knowledge is strengthening power,

⁶ For by plans thou makest for thyself war, And deliverance is in a multitude of counsellors.
