²⁴ The proud and haughty man, scoffer is his name; He worketh in the arrogance of pride.

²⁵ The desire of the sluggard killeth him; For his hands refuse to labor.

²⁶ There is that coveteth greedily all the day long; But the righteous giveth and withholdeth not.

²⁷ The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; How much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind!

²⁸ A false witness shall perish; But the man that heareth shall speak so as to endure.

²⁹ A wicked man hardeneth his face; But as for the upright, he establisheth his ways.

²⁴ A bold and self-willed and insolent man is called a pest: and he that remembers injuries is a transgressor.

²⁶ An ungodly man entertains evil desires all the day: but the righteous is unsparingly merciful and compassionate.

²⁷ Yahweh detests the sacrifices that wicked people offer to him; but he detests it even more when they think that they will escape being punished for their evil deeds because of the sacrifices that they bring.

²⁸ Those who tell lies in court will be punished; no one stops/silences witnesses who say what is truthful/reliable.

²⁹ Wicked people pretend that they know everything, but righteous people think carefully about what will happen because of what they do.

²⁹ A wicked man maketh firm his cheer unshamefastly; but he that is rightful, amendeth his way. (A wicked person unashamedly maketh firm his face, or is stubborn; but he who is upright, mendeth his way.)
