⁷ A righteous man that walketh in his integrity, Blessed are his children after him.

⁸ A king that sitteth on the throne of judgment Scattereth away all evil with his eyes.

⁹ Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

¹⁰ Diverse weights, and diverse measures, Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

¹¹ Even a child maketh himself known by his doings, Whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.

¹² The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, Jehovah hath made even both of them.

¹³ Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; Open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

¹⁴ It is bad, it is bad, saith the buyer; But when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.

¹⁵ There is gold, and abundance of rubies; But the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

⁸ A king who sits on his throne to judge people can easily MTY find out what things that people have done are good and what things are evil.

⁹ There is no one RHQ who can truthfully say, “I do not know of any wrong things that I have done; I have ◄gotten rid of all my sinful behavior/quit doing what is sinful►.”

¹⁰ Yahweh detests people who use weights that are not right and measures that are not correct.

¹¹ Even children show by what they do whether they are good or not; they show whether ◄what they do/their behavior► is honest and right or not.

¹² Two of the things that Yahweh has created for us are ears to hear things and eyes to see things.

¹³ If you want to sleep all the time, you will become poor; if you stay awake and work, you will have plenty of food.

¹⁴ People look at things that they are about to buy, and in order to get it for a lower price sometimes they say, “◄It is no good/It is poor quality►,” but after they buy it, they go and boast about having bought it for a cheap price.

¹⁵ Gold and precious stones are valuable, but wise words MTY are more valuable.

¹⁶ If you foolishly promise to a stranger that you will pay what he owes if he is unable to pay it DOU, you deserve to have someone take your coat from you.

¹⁷ People may think that food that they acquire by doing what is dishonest will taste very good, but later they will not enjoy what they have done any more than they would enjoy eating gravel/sand.

¹⁸ When people give you good advice, if you do what they suggest, your plans will succeed; so be sure to get good advice from wise people before you start fighting a war.

¹⁹ Those who go around telling gossip are always telling secrets to others; so stay away from people who foolishly talk too much.

¹⁰ The Lord hates both dishonest weights and dishonest measures.

¹¹ Even children reveal what they're like by what they do, whether their actions are good and right.

¹² The Lord made our ears to hear and our eyes to see.

¹³ If you love sleeping you'll become poor. Wake up and get busy, and you'll have plenty to eat.

¹⁴ “It's really rubbish,” says the one buying, but afterwards goes and boasts to others about making a good deal.

¹⁵ There's gold and plenty of expensive gemstones, but talking sense is a more valuable jewel.

¹⁶ If someone guarantees a stranger's debt with their cloak, be sure to take it! Make sure you have whatever is pledged to foreigners!

¹⁷ Food you get by cheating may taste sweet, but afterwards it will be like a mouthful of gravel.

¹⁸ With sound advice, plans are successful; if you're going to war, make sure you have good guidance.

⁷ Forsooth a just man that goeth in his simpleness, shall leave blessed sons after him. (For a righteous person who goeth in his honesty, or in his integrity, shall leave blessed sons and daughters after him.)

⁸ A king that sitteth in the seat of doom, destroyeth all evil by his looking. (A king who sitteth on the seat of judgement, knoweth evil when he seeth it.)

⁹ Who may say, Mine heart is clean; I am clean of sin?

¹⁰ A weight, greater in buying, and a weight, less (er) in selling, a measure and a measure, ever either is abominable at God (or these be abominable to God).

¹¹ A child is understood by his studies (or Even a child is known by his deeds), if his works be rightful and clean.

¹⁷ The bread of a leasing, that is, gotten by a leasing, is sweet to a man, (or Bread gotten by a lie, tasteth sweet to a person); and afterward his mouth shall be filled with reckoning or but afterward his mouth shall be filled with little pebble stones.

¹⁸ Thoughts be made strong by counsels; and battles shall be treated by governances. (Plans be made into successes by good advice; and battles be won by careful planning.)

¹⁹ Be thou not meddled with him that showeth privates, and goeth guilefully, and alargeth his lips. (Be thou not mixed in, or mingled, with him who telleth secrets, and goeth deceitfully, and flappeth his lips.)

⁷ The righteous is walking habitually in his integrity, O the happiness of his sons after him!

⁸ A king sitting on a throne of judgment, Is scattering with his eyes all evil,

⁹ Who saith, 'I have purified my heart, I have been cleansed from my sin?'

¹⁰ A stone and a stone, an ephah and an ephah, Even both of them are an abomination to Jehovah.

¹¹ Even by his actions a youth maketh himself known, Whether his work be pure or upright.

¹² A hearing ear, and a seeing eye, Jehovah hath made even both of them.

¹³ Love not sleep, lest thou become poor, Open thine eyes — be satisfied with bread.

¹⁴ 'Bad, bad,' saith the buyer, And going his way then he boasteth himself.

¹⁵ Substance, gold, and a multitude of rubies, Yea, a precious vessel, are lips of knowledge.

¹⁶ Take his garment when a stranger hath been surety, And for strangers pledge it.

¹⁷ Sweet to a man is the bread of falsehood, And afterwards is his mouth filled with gravel.

¹⁸ Purposes by counsel thou dost establish, And with plans make thou war.

¹⁹ A revealer of secret counsels is the busybody, And for a deceiver with his lips make not thyself surety.
