¹⁸ Every purpose is established by counsel; And by wise guidance make thou war.

¹⁹ He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; Therefore company not with him that openeth wide his lips.

²⁰ Whoso curseth his father or his mother, His lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.

²¹ An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; But the end thereof shall not be blessed.

²² Say not thou, I will recompense evil: Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.

²³ Diverse weights are an abomination to Jehovah; And a false balance is not good.

²⁴ A man’s goings are of Jehovah; How then can man understand his way?

²⁵ It is a snare to a man rashly to say, It is holy, And after vows to make inquiry.

²⁶ A wise king winnoweth the wicked, And bringeth the threshing-wheel over them.

²⁷ The spirit of man is the lamp of Jehovah, Searching all his innermost parts.

¹⁹ Those who go around telling gossip are always telling secrets to others; so stay away from people who foolishly talk too much.

²⁰ If someone curses his father or his mother, his life will be ended, just like a lamp is extinguished.

²¹ If you very quickly take the property that your parents promise will be yours after they die, you will not receive any good/blessing from it.

²² Do not say, “I will do evil to those who do evil to me;” wait for Yahweh to do something about it, and he will ◄help you/ do what is right►.

²³ Yahweh detests those who use dishonest scales and weights that are not accurate/correct.

²⁴ Yahweh is the one who has decided what will happen to us, so ◄how can we ‘understand/know’ what will happen before it happens?/we humans certainly cannot ‘understand/know’ what will happen before it happens.► RHQ

²⁵ You should think carefully before you solemnly promise to dedicate something to God, because later you might be sorry you have promised to do it.

²⁶ Wise kings find out MET which people have done what is wrong, and they punish them very severely IDM.

²⁷ Our consciences are like lamps that Yahweh has given to us to enable us to know what we are thinking MET; they reveal what is hidden deep in our ◄minds/inner beings►.

²⁸ Kings will continue to rule as long as they faithfully love their people and are loyal to them and as long as they rule righteously/fairly.

²⁹ We honor/admire young people because they are strong, but we respect MTY old people more because they are wise.

³⁰ When we are beaten or whipped, it can cause us to quit doing what is evil in our lives; when someone wounds us by punishing us, it can cause our behavior to become good.

²⁰ The lamp of him that reviles father or mother shall be put out, and his eyeballs shall see darkness.

²⁸ Mercy and good faith keep the king safe, and the seat of his power is based on upright acts.

²⁴ A man’s steps are from Yahweh; how then can man understand his way?

²⁵ It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication, then later to consider his vows.

³⁰ Wounding blows cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the innermost parts.

¹⁸ Plans are established by advice; by wise guidance you wage war!

¹⁹ He who goes about as a tale-bearer reveals secrets; therefore don’t keep company with him who opens wide his lips.

²⁰ Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.

²¹ An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning won’t be blessed in the end.

²² Don’t say, “I will pay back evil.” Wait for the LORD, and he will save you.

²⁷ The lantern of the Lord is the spirit of man, that seeketh out all the privates of the womb.

²⁸ Mercy and truth keep a king; and his throne is made strong by meekness.

²⁹ The full out joying of young men is the strength of them; and the dignity of eld or old men is hoariness.

³⁰ The wanness of wound shall wipe away evils, and wounds in the privier things of the womb.

¹⁸ Thoughts be made strong by counsels; and battles shall be treated by governances. (Plans be made into successes by good advice; and battles be won by careful planning.)

¹⁹ Be thou not meddled with him that showeth privates, and goeth guilefully, and alargeth his lips. (Be thou not mixed in, or mingled, with him who telleth secrets, and goeth deceitfully, and flappeth his lips.)

²⁰ The light of him that curseth his father and mother, shall be quenched in the midst of darknesses.

²¹ Heritage to which men hasteth (to get) in the beginning, shall want blessing in the last time. (An inheritance which someone hasteneth to get early, shall lack blessing in the end.)

²² Say thou not, I shall yield evil for evil; abide thou the Lord, and he shall deliver thee. (Say thou not, I shall give back evil for evil; wait thou for the Lord, and he shall save thee or and he shall rescue thee.)

²³ Abomination with God is weight and weight; a guileful balance is not good. (An abomination with God is different weights; a deceitful scale is not good.)

²⁴ The steps of man be (ad)dressed of the Lord; who forsooth of men may understand his way? (The steps of a person be directed by the Lord; for who can understand his own way?)

²⁵ (A) Falling of man is to make (an) avow to (the) saints, and (then) afterward to withdraw the vows.

²⁶ A wise king scattereth wicked men; and boweth a bow of victory, that is, a stone bow, over them.

²⁷ The lantern of the Lord is the spirit of man, that seeketh out all the privates of the womb. (The spirit of people is the lantern of the Lord, and it seeketh out all our innermost secrets.)

²⁸ Mercy and truth keep a king; and his throne is made strong by meekness. (Fairness and faithfulness, or loyalty, keep a king safe and secure; and his throne is made strong by humility, or by righteousness.)

²⁹ The full out joying of young men is the strength of them; and the dignity of eld men is hoariness. (The rejoicing, or the glory, of young men is their strength; and the dignity of old men is their white, or gray, hair.)

³⁰ The wanness of (a) wound shall wipe away evils, and (so do) wounds in the privier things of the womb. (Sometimes a deep, blue wound shall set someone straight, and sometimes so do wounds in the secret, or the innermost, places of the heart.)

¹⁸ Purposes by counsel thou dost establish, And with plans make thou war.

¹⁹ A revealer of secret counsels is the busybody, And for a deceiver with his lips make not thyself surety.

²⁰ Whoso is vilifying his father and his mother, Extinguished is his lamp in blackness of darkness.

²¹ An inheritance gotten wrongly at first, Even its latter end is not blessed.

²² Do not say, 'I recompense evil,' Wait for Jehovah, and He delivereth thee.

²³ An abomination to Jehovah are a stone and a stone, And balances of deceit are not good.

²⁴ From Jehovah are the steps of a man, And man — how understandeth he his way?

²⁵ A snare to a man is he hath swallowed a holy thing, And after vows to make inquiry.

²⁶ A wise king is scattering the wicked, And turneth back on them the wheel.

²⁷ The breath of man is a lamp of Jehovah, Searching all the inner parts of the heart.

²⁸ Kindness and truth keep a king, And he hath supported by kindness his throne.

²⁹ The beauty of young men is their strength, And the honour of old men is grey hairs.

³⁰ The bandages of a wound thou removest with the evil, Also the plagues of the inner parts of the heart!
