²¹ He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth; But he that hath pity on the poor, happy is he.

²² Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

²³ In all labor there is profit; But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

²⁴ The crown of the wise is their riches; But the folly of fools is only folly.

²⁵ A true witness delivereth souls; But he that uttereth lies causeth deceit.

²¹ He that dishonours the needy sins: but he that has pity on the poor is most blessed.

²² They that go astray devise evils: but the good devise mercy and truth. The framers of evil do not understand mercy and truth: but compassion and faithfulness are with the framers of good.

²³ With every one who is careful there is abundance: but the pleasure-taking and indolent shall be in want.

²⁴ A prudent man is the crown of the wise: but the occupation of fools is evil.

²⁵ A faithful witness shall deliver a soul from evil: but a deceitful man kindles falsehoods.

²² Those who plan to do things that are evil/wrong are walking on the wrong road; people faithfully love, respect and are loyal to those who plan to do what is good.

²³ If you work hard, you will ◄accomplish something good/get a good income►, but if all you do is to talk and not work, you will remain poor.

²⁴ One of the rewards MET of being wise is to become rich; the reward of acting foolishly is to become more foolish.

²⁵ By saying in court what is true, you can save the life of the one who is being falsely accused; if you tell lies, you are abandoning someone who needs your help to defend him.

²² Do they not err that devise evil? but loving-kindness and truth are for those that devise good.

²³ In all labour there is profit; but the talk of the lips tendeth only to want.

²⁴ The crown of the wise is their riches; the folly of the foolish is folly.

²⁵ A true witness delivereth souls; but deceit uttereth lies.

²¹ He that despiseth his neighbour, sinneth: but he that sheweth mercy to the poor, shall be blessed. He that believeth in the Lord, loveth mercy.

²² They err that work evil: but mercy and truth prepare good things.

²³ In much work there shall be abundance: but where there are many words, there is oftentimes want.

²⁴ The crown of the wise is their riches: the folly of fools, imprudence.

²⁵ A faithful witness delivereth souls: and the double dealer uttereth lies.

²¹ People who look down on their neighbors are sinners, but those who are kind to the poor are blessed.

²² Aren't people who plan to do evil wrong? But those who plan to do good have trustworthy love and faithfulness.

²³ There's profit in hard work, but chatting just leads to poverty.

²⁴ The wise are rewarded with wealth, but stupid people are rewarded with stupidity.

²⁵ A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is treacherous.

²¹ The sinner despiseth his neighbour: but he that hath mercie on the poore, is blessed.

²² Doe not they erre that imagine euill? but to them that thinke on good things, shalbe mercie and trueth.

²² Do not those who plot evil go astray? But those who plan to do good will receive covenant faithfulness and trustworthiness.

²³ With all hard work comes a profit, but when there is only talk, it leads to poverty.

²⁴ The crown of wise people is their wealth, but the folly of fools brings them only more folly.

²⁴ The crown of wise men is the riches of them; the folly of fools is unwariness.

²⁵ A faithful witness delivereth souls; and a false man bringeth forth leasings.

²¹ He that despiseth his neighbour, doeth sin; but he that doeth mercy to a poor man, shall be blessed.

²² He that believeth in the Lord, loveth mercy; they err that work evil. Mercy and truth make ready goods (or Mercy and truth bring forth good things);

²³ abundance shall be in each good work/in every good work. Soothly where full many words be, there neediness is oft, (or Truly, where there be a great many words, there often is neediness, or lack, or want).

²⁴ The crown of wise men is the riches of them; the folly of fools is unwariness. (The reward of the wise is their riches; the foolishness of fools is their recklessness.)

²⁵ A faithful witness delivereth souls; and a false man bringeth forth leasings. (A faithful witness saveth lives; but a false accuser bringeth forth only lies.)

²¹ Whoso is despising his neighbour sinneth, Whoso is favouring the humble, O his happiness.

²² Do not they err who are devising evil? And kindness and truth are to those devising good,

²³ In all labour there is advantage, And a thing of the lips is only to want.

²⁴ The crown of the wise is their wealth, The folly of fools is folly.
