¹⁹ The evil bow down before the good; And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous.

²⁰ The poor is hated even of his own neighbor; But the rich hath many friends.

²¹ He that despiseth his neighbor sinneth; But he that hath pity on the poor, happy is he.

²² Do they not err that devise evil? But mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good.

²³ In all labor there is profit; But the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury.

²⁴ The crown of the wise is their riches; But the folly of fools is only folly.

²⁵ A true witness delivereth souls; But he that uttereth lies causeth deceit.

¹⁹ Some day evil people will bow down in front of righteous people to show that they respect them; they will humbly stand at the gates of the houses of righteous people and request their help.

²⁰ No one likes poor people; even their friends/neighbors do not like them; rich people have many friends, but only while the rich people still have money.

²¹ It is sinful to despise your poor neighbors; God is pleased with those who do kind things for the poor.

²² Those who plan to do things that are evil/wrong are walking on the wrong road; people faithfully love, respect and are loyal to those who plan to do what is good.

²³ If you work hard, you will ◄accomplish something good/get a good income►, but if all you do is to talk and not work, you will remain poor.

²⁴ One of the rewards MET of being wise is to become rich; the reward of acting foolishly is to become more foolish.

²⁵ By saying in court what is true, you can save the life of the one who is being falsely accused; if you tell lies, you are abandoning someone who needs your help to defend him.

²⁶ Those who revere Yahweh are confident that he will protect them, and their family will also be protected.

²⁷ Having an awesome respect for Yahweh is like MET having a fountain that gives life; it will help you to escape when something dangerous is threatening to kill you MET.

²⁴ The wise are rewarded with wealth, but stupid people are rewarded with stupidity.

²⁵ A truthful witness saves lives, but a false witness is treacherous.

²⁶ People who honor the Lord are completely safe; he will protect their children.

²⁷ Respecting the Lord is like a fountain of life, so you can avoid the snares of death.

²³ abundance shall be in each good work/in every good work. Soothly where full many words be, there neediness is oft, (or Truly, where there be a great many words, there often is neediness, or lack, or want).

²⁶ In the dread of the Lord is trust of strength; and hope shall be to the sons of him. (He who feareth the Lord or He who revereth the Lord hath trust in his strength; and his sons and daughters shall have hope and security.)

²⁷ The dread of the Lord is a well of life; that it bow away from the falling of death. (The fear of the Lord or Reverence for the Lord is a well of life; yea, so that thou turn away from deadly traps, or snares.)

²⁰ Even of his neighbour is the poor hated, And those loving the rich are many.

²¹ Whoso is despising his neighbour sinneth, Whoso is favouring the humble, O his happiness.

²² Do not they err who are devising evil? And kindness and truth are to those devising good,

²³ In all labour there is advantage, And a thing of the lips is only to want.
