¹⁴ The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways; And a good man shall be satisfied from himself.

¹⁵ The simple believeth every word; But the prudent man looketh well to his going.

¹⁶ A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil; But the fool beareth himself insolently, and is confident.

¹⁷ He that is soon angry will deal foolishly; And a man of wicked devices is hated.

¹⁸ The simple inherit folly; But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

¹⁹ The evil bow down before the good; And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous.

¹⁵ Foolish people believe everything that people tell them; those who have good sense think carefully about what will be the result of their actions.

¹⁶ Wise people are careful and avoid doing things that will give them trouble; foolish people are careless and act ◄too quickly/without thinking►.

¹⁷ Those who quickly become angry IDM do foolish things; people hate those who plan to do wicked things (OR, those who have good sense remain calm/patient).

¹⁸ Foolish people get what they deserve for doing foolish things; those with good sense are rewarded MET by being able to learn a lot.

¹⁹ Some day evil people will bow down in front of righteous people to show that they respect them; they will humbly stand at the gates of the houses of righteous people and request their help.

²⁰ No one likes poor people; even their friends/neighbors do not like them; rich people have many friends, but only while the rich people still have money.

²¹ It is sinful to despise your poor neighbors; God is pleased with those who do kind things for the poor.

²² Those who plan to do things that are evil/wrong are walking on the wrong road; people faithfully love, respect and are loyal to those who plan to do what is good.

²³ If you work hard, you will ◄accomplish something good/get a good income►, but if all you do is to talk and not work, you will remain poor.

¹⁴ Disloyal people are repaid for what they do, and good people are rewarded.

¹⁵ Stupid people believe whatever they're told, but sensible people think about what they're doing.

¹⁶ Wise people are careful and avoid evil, but stupid people are confidently reckless.

¹⁷ Quick-tempered people act foolishly, while people who make evil plans are hated.

¹⁸ The inheritance of stupid people is stupidity, but sensible people are rewarded with knowledge.

¹⁹ Evil people bow down before good people, and the wicked bow down at the doors of those who do right.

²¹ People who look down on their neighbors are sinners, but those who are kind to the poor are blessed.

²³ abundance shall be in each good work or in every good work. Soothly where full many words be, there neediness is oft.

¹⁴ A fool shall be filled with his ways; and a good man shall be above him. (A fool shall reap the fruit of his foolish ways; and a good person that of his deeds, or of his labour.)

¹⁵ An innocent man believeth to each word; a fell man beholdeth his goings. (An innocent person believeth each and every word; a clever person regardeth, or watcheth, his own steps.)

¹⁶ A wise man dreadeth, and boweth away from evil; a fool skippeth over, and trusteth.

¹⁷ A man unpatient shall work folly; and a guileful man is odious. (An impatient person will act foolishly; and a deceitful person is odious.)

¹⁸ Little men of wit shall hold folly; and fell men shall abide knowing. (People of little wit, or of low intelligence, shall hold fast to foolishness; but clever people shall gain understanding.)

¹⁹ Evil men shall lie (down) before good men; and unpious men before the gates of just men. (Evil people shall lie down before good people; and the wicked shall bow before the gates of the righteous.)

²⁰ A poor man shall be (thought) hateful, yea, (even) to his neighbour; but many men be (the) friends of rich men.

²¹ He that despiseth his neighbour, doeth sin; but he that doeth mercy to a poor man, shall be blessed.

²² He that believeth in the Lord, loveth mercy; they err that work evil. Mercy and truth make ready goods (or Mercy and truth bring forth good things);

¹⁴ From his ways is the backslider in heart filled, And a good man — from his fruits.

¹⁵ The simple giveth credence to everything, And the prudent attendeth to his step.

¹⁶ The wise is fearing and turning from evil, And a fool is transgressing and is confident.

¹⁷ Whoso is short of temper doth folly, And a man of wicked devices is hated.

¹⁸ The simple have inherited folly, And the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

¹⁹ The evil have bowed down before the good, And the wicked at the gates of the righteous.

²⁰ Even of his neighbour is the poor hated, And those loving the rich are many.

²¹ Whoso is despising his neighbour sinneth, Whoso is favouring the humble, O his happiness.

²² Do not they err who are devising evil? And kindness and truth are to those devising good,

²³ In all labour there is advantage, And a thing of the lips is only to want.
