¹ Whoso loveth correction loveth knowledge; But he that hateth reproof is brutish.

² A good man shall obtain favor of Jehovah; But a man of wicked devices will he condemn.

³ A man shall not be established by wickedness; But the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

⁴ A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.

⁵ The thoughts of the righteous are just; But the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

⁶ The words of the wicked are of lying in wait for blood; But the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

⁷ The wicked are overthrown, and are not; But the house of the righteous shall stand.

⁸ A man shall be commended according to his wisdom; But he that is of a perverse heart shall be despised.

² He that has found favour with the Lord is made better; but a transgressor shall be passed over in silence.

³ A man shall not prosper by wickedness; but the roots of the righteous shall not be taken up.

⁴ A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband; but as a worm in wood, so a bad woman destroys her husband.

⁵ The thoughts of the righteous are true judgments; but ungodly men devise deceits.

⁶ The words of ungodly men are crafty; but the mouth of the upright shall deliver them.

⁷ When the ungodly is overthrown, he vanishes away; but the houses of the just remain.

⁸ The mouth of an understanding man is praised by a man; but he that is dull of heart is had in derision.

¹ Those who want to know what is right to do want to be ◄disciplined/corrected► when they do what is wrong; it is foolish to not want to be ◄corrected/told that what you did is wrong►.

² Yahweh is pleased with good people, but he condemns those who plan to harm others.

³ People do not become secure/safe by doing what is wicked; righteous people will be very safe and secure LIT like MET a tree that has deep roots.

⁴ A good wife is one who causes her husband to be greatly honored, but a wife who does things that cause her husband to be ashamed will destroy him like SIM cancer destroys his bones.

⁵ What righteous people want to do is to treat people fairly; what wicked people want to do is to deceive people.

⁶ What wicked people say is like a trap MET that kills MTY people who pass by, but what righteous people say MTY rescues those whom wicked people threaten to harm.

⁷ Wicked people will die before they become old and we will see them no more, but righteous people will live for many years and have many descendants.

⁸ People will praise those who have good sense, but people will despise those ◄who are always thinking about doing evil things/whose thinking is twisted►.

⁵ The purposes of upright men are right, but the designs of evil-doers are deceit.

⁶ The words of sinners are destruction for the upright; but the mouth of upright men is their salvation.

⁷ Evil-doers are overturned and never seen again, but the house of upright men will keep its place.

⁸ A man will be praised in the measure of his wisdom, but a wrong-minded man will be looked down on.

⁸ A man shall be known by his learning: but he that is vain and foolish, shall be exposed to contempt.

¹ If you love knowledge, you will love discipline. Anyone who hates being corrected is stupid!

² The Lord blesses the good, but he condemns anyone with evil schemes.

³ Wickedness doesn't provide security, but those who live right are deeply rooted and cannot be moved.

⁴ A good wife is a crown for her husband, but one who brings shame is like rot in his bones.

⁵ Good people make plans that are fair, but the advice of the wicked is deceptive.

⁶ The words of the wicked are like a violent ambush, but those of honest people save them.

⁷ The wicked are destroyed, and they're gone, but the family of the good stands firm.

⁸ People are appreciated for talking sense, but those with perverted minds are despised.

¹ He that loueth instruction, loueth knowledge: but he that hateth correction, is a foole.

² A good man getteth fauour of the Lord: but the man of wicked immaginations will hee condemne.

³ A man cannot be established by wickednesse: but the roote of the righteous shall not be mooued.

⁴ A vertuous woman is the crowne of her husband: but she that maketh him ashamed, is as corruption in his bones.

⁷ Overturn thou wicked men, and they shall not be; but the houses of just or rightwise men shall dwell perfectly.

⁸ A man shall be known by his teaching; but he that is vain and heartless, shall be open to despising.

¹ He that loveth chastising, loveth knowing; but he that hateth blamings, is unwise. (He who loveth discipline, loveth knowledge; but he who hateth rebukes, is unwise.)

² He that is good, shall draw to himself (the) grace of the Lord, (or He who is good, shall draw favour to himself from the Lord); but he that trusteth in his (own) thoughts, doeth wickedly.

³ A man shall not be made strong by wickedness; and the root of just men shall not be moved. (No one is made strong by wickedness; but the roots of the righteous shall not be uprooted.)

⁴ A diligent woman is a crown to her husband; and rot is in the bones of that woman, that doeth things worthy of confusion. (A diligent woman is a crown to her husband; but rot is in the bones of her, who doeth shameful things.)

⁵ The thoughts of just men be dooms; and the counsels of wicked men be guileful. (The thoughts of the righteous be lawful; and the plans of the wicked be deceitful or and the advice of the wicked is deceptive.)

⁶ The words of wicked men set treason to blood; the mouth of just men shall deliver them. (The words of the wicked set ambush for blood; the words of the righteous shall save them.)

⁷ (Over)Turn thou wicked men, and they shall not be; but the houses of just men shall dwell perfectly. (Overturn thou, or bring thou down, the wicked, and they shall not be; but the families of the righteous shall continue.)

⁸ A man shall be known by his teaching; but he that is vain and heartless, shall be open to despising.
