⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Jehovah, died, being a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

¹⁰ And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and there arose another generation after them, that knew not Jehovah, nor yet the work which he had wrought for Israel.

¹¹ And the children of Israel did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and served the Baalim;

¹² and they forsook Jehovah, the God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the peoples that were round about them, and bowed themselves down unto them: and they provoked Jehovah to anger.

¹³ And they forsook Jehovah, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.

⁸ And Joshua the son of Naue, the servant of the Lord, died, a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance, in Thamnathares, in mount Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaas.

¹⁰ And all that generation were laid to their fathers: and another generation rose up after them, who knew not the Lord, nor yet the work which he wrought in Israel.

¹¹ And the children of Israel wrought evil before the Lord, and served Baalim.

¹² And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and walked after other gods, of the gods of the nations round about them; and they worshipped them.

¹³ And they provoked the Lord, and forsook him, and served Baal and the Astartes.

¹³ And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and the Ashtaroth.

⁸ Then Yahweh's servant Joshua died. He was 110 years old when he died.

⁹ They buried his body in the area he had received from Moses, at Timnath-Serah, in the area where the descendants of Ephraim lived, north of Gaash Mountain.

¹⁰ After all the people died who lived at the same time as Joshua EUP, a group of people grew up who did not know Yahweh, and did not know what great things he had done for the Israeli people.

¹¹ They did things that Yahweh said were very evil. They worshiped idols that represented the god Baal and the goddess Astarte. They worshiped DOU the various gods that the people-groups around them worshiped. They stopped worshiping Yahweh, the God their ancestors worshiped, the one who had brought their ancestors out of Egypt. That caused Yahweh to be very angry.

⁸ And death came to Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, he being a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they put his body in the earth in the land of his heritage in Timnath-heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim to the north of Mount Gaash.

¹⁰ And in time death overtook all that generation; and another generation came after them, having no knowledge of the Lord or of the things which he had done for Israel.

¹¹ And the children of Israel did evil in the eyes of the Lord and became servants to the Baals;

¹² And they gave up the Lord, the God of their fathers, who had taken them out of the land of Egypt, and went after other gods, the gods of the peoples round about them, worshipping them and moving the Lord to wrath.

¹³ And they gave up the Lord, and became the servants of Baal and the Astartes.

⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Jehovah, died, a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-Heres, in mount Ephraim, on the north side of the mountain of Gaash.

¹⁰ And also all that generation were gathered to their fathers; and there arose another generation after them, which knew not Jehovah, nor yet the works which he had done for Israel.

⁸ And Josue the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, being a hundred and ten years old,

⁹ And they buried him in the borders of his possession in Thamnathsare in mount Ephraim, on the north side of mount Gaas.

¹⁰ And all that generation was gathered to their fathers: and there arose others that knew not the Lord, and the works which he had done for Israel.

¹¹ And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they served Baalim.

¹² And they left the Lord the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt: and they followed strange gods, and the gods of the people that dwelt round about them, and they adored them: and they provoked the Lord to anger.

¹³ Forsaking him, and serving Baal and Astaroth.

⁸ Joshua, son of Nun, servant of the Lord, died at the age of one hundred and ten.

⁹ They buried him in Timnath-heres in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash, the land he had been allocated.

¹⁰ Once that generation had passed away, the generation that followed did not know the Lord, or what he had done for Israel.

¹¹ The Israelites did what was evil in the Lord's sight, and they worshiped the Baals.

¹² They deserted the Lord, the God of their forefathers, who had led them out of Egypt. They followed other gods, bowing down in worship to the gods of the peoples around them, making the Lord angry.

¹³ They deserted the Lord and worshiped Baal and Ashtaroth idols.

⁸ But Ioshua the sonne of Nun the seruant of the Lord dyed, when he was an hundreth and ten yeeres olde:

⁹ And they buryed him in the coastes of his inheritance, in Timnath-heres in mount Ephraim, on the Northside of mount Gaash.

¹⁰ And so all that generation was gathered vnto their fathers, and another generation arose after them, which neither knewe the Lord, nor yet the works, which he had done for Israel.

¹¹ Then the children of Israel did wickedly in the sight of the Lord, and serued Baalim,

¹² And forsooke ye Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the lande of Egypt, and followed other gods, euen the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed vnto them, and prouoked the Lord to anger.

¹³ So they forsooke the Lord, and serued Baal, and Ashtaroth.

⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath-heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

¹⁰ And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers; and there arose another generation after them, that knew not the LORD, nor yet the work which He had wrought for Israel.

⁹ And they buried him on the border of his inheritance in Timnath-cheres, in the mountain of Ephraim, on the north side of mount Ga'ash.

¹⁰ And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers; and there arose another generation after them, who knew not the Lord, and likewise not the deeds which he had done for Israel.

¹¹ And the children of Israel did the evil in the eyes of the Lord, and served the Be'alim:

¹² And they forsook the Lord the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they went after other gods, of the gods of the nations that were round about them, and they bowed themselves unto them, and incensed the Lord.

¹³ And they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and 'Ashtaroth.

⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died, a hundred and ten years old.

⁹ And they buried him in the border of his inheritance, in Timnath-heres, in Mount Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

⁹ They buried him within the border of the land he was assigned in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.

¹⁰ All that generation was also gathered to their fathers. Another generation grew up after them who did not know Yahweh or what he had done for Israel.

¹¹ The people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh and they served the Baals.

¹² They broke away from Yahweh, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt. They went after other gods, the very gods of the peoples who were around them, and they bowed down to them. They provoked Yahweh to anger because

¹³ they broke away from Yahweh and worshiped Baal and the Ashtoreths.

⁸ Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Yahweh, died, being one hundred ten years old.

⁹ They buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnath Heres, in the hill country of Ephraim, on the north of the mountain of Gaash.

¹⁰ After all that generation were gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who didn’t know Yahweh, nor the work which he had done for Israel.

⁸ Forsooth Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, was dead of an hundred years and ten;

⁹ and they buried him in the ends of his possession, in Timnath of Heres, in the hill of Ephraim, at the north coast of the hill Gaash.

¹⁰ And all that generation was gathered to their fathers; and other men of Israel rose up, that knew not the Lord, and the works which he had done with Israel.

¹¹ And the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they served Baalim and Ashtaroth;

¹² and forsook the Lord God of their fathers, that led them out of the land of Egypt; and they pursued or followed alien gods, the gods of peoples, that dwelled in the compass of them, and worshipped those gods, and they stirred the Lord to great wrath,

¹³ and they forsook him, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

⁸ Forsooth Joshua, the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, was dead of an hundred years and ten; (But then Joshua, the son of Nun, the Lord’s servant, died, when he was a hundred and ten years old;)

⁹ and they buried him in the ends of his possession, in Timnath of Heres, in the hill (country) of Ephraim, at the north coast of the hill Gaash (or on the north side of Mount Gaash).

¹⁰ And all that generation was gathered to their fathers; and other men of Israel rose up, that knew not the Lord, and the works which he had done with Israel. (And all that generation died; and other men rose up, who did not know the Lord, and the works which he had done for Israel.)

¹¹ And the sons of Israel did evil in the sight of the Lord, and they served Baalim and Ashtaroth; (And the Israelites did evil before the Lord, and they served the Baalim and the Ashtaroth;)

¹² and forsook the Lord God of their fathers, that led them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed alien gods, the gods of peoples, that dwelled in the compass of them, and worshipped those gods, and they stirred the Lord to great wrath, (and deserted the Lord God of their fathers, who led them out of the land of Egypt; and they followed foreign, or other, gods, the gods of the peoples, who lived all around them, and they worshipped those gods, and they stirred the Lord to great anger,)

¹³ and they forsook him, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.

⁸ And Joshua son of Nun, servant of Jehovah, dieth, a son of a hundred and ten years,

⁹ and they bury him in the border of his inheritance, in Timnath-Heres, in the hill-country of Ephraim, on the north of mount Gaash;

¹⁰ and also all that generation have been gathered unto their fathers, and another generation riseth after them who have not known Jehovah, and even the work which He hath done to Israel.

¹¹ And the sons of Israel do the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, and serve the Baalim,

¹² and forsake Jehovah, God of their fathers, who bringeth them out from the land of Egypt, and go after other gods (of the gods of the peoples who are round about them), and bow themselves to them, and provoke Jehovah,

¹³ yea, they forsake Jehovah, and do service to Baal and to Ashtaroth.
