⁵ and Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah,

⁶ and Beth-lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages:

⁷ Ain, Rimmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities with their villages:

⁸ and all the villages that were round about these cities to Baalath-beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

⁹ Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them: therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the midst of their inheritance.

¹⁰ And the third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. And the border of their inheritance was unto Sarid;

¹¹ and their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth; and it reached to the brook that is before Jokneam;

¹² and it turned from Sarid eastward toward the sunrising unto the border of Chisloth-tabor; and it went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia;

¹³ and from thence it passed along eastward to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretcheth unto Neah;

¹⁴ and the border turned about it on the north to Hannathon; and the goings out thereof were at the valley of Iphtah-el;

¹⁵ and Kattath, and Nahalal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

¹⁶ This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.

¹⁷ The fourth lot came out for Issachar, even for the children of Issachar according to their families.

¹⁸ And their border was unto Jezreel, and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

¹⁹ and Hapharaim, and Shion, and Anaharath,

²⁰ and Rabbith, and Kishion, and Ebez,

²¹ and Remeth, and Engannim, and En-haddah, and Beth-pazzez,

²² and the border reached to Tabor, and Shahazumah, and Beth-shemesh; and the goings out of their border were at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

²³ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities with their villages.

²⁴ And the fifth lot came out for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

²⁵ And their border was Helkath, and Hali, and Beten, and Achshaph,

²⁶ and Allammelech, and Amad, and Mishal; and it reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihor-libnath;

²⁷ and it turned toward the sunrising to Beth-dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah-el northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; and it went out to Cabul on the left hand,

²⁸ and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even unto great Sidon;

⁵ and Sikelac, and Bæthmachereb, and Sarsusin,

⁶ and Batharoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.

⁷ Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Jether, and Asan; four cities and their villages,

⁸ round about their cities as far as Balec as men go to Bameth southward: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon according to their families.

⁹ The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon was a part of the lot of Juda, for the portion of the children of Juda was greater than theirs; and the children of Symeon inherited in the midst of their lot.

¹⁰ And the third lot came out to Zabulon according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be—Esedekgola shall be their border,

¹¹ the sea and Magelda, and it shall reach to Bætharaba in the valley, which is opposite Jekman.

¹² And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Bæthsamys, to the borders of Chaselothaith, and shall pass on to Dabiroth, and shall proceed upward to Phangai.

¹³ And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gebere to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Remmonaa Matharaoza.

¹⁴ And the borders shall come round northward to Amoth, and their going out shall be at Gæphael,

¹⁵ and Catanath, and Nabaal, and Symoön, and Jericho, and Bæthman.

¹⁶ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon according to their families, these cities and their villages.

¹⁷ And the fourth lot came out to Issachar.

¹⁸ And their borders were Jazel, and Chasaloth, and Sunam,

¹⁹ and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth,

²⁰ and Anachereth, and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes,

²¹ and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Æmarec, and Bersaphes.

²² And the boundaries shall border upon Gæthbor, and upon Salim westward, and Bæthsamys; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.

²³ This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

²⁴ And the fifth lot came out to Aser according to their families.

²⁵ And their borders were Exeleketh, and Aleph, and Bæthok, and Keaph,

²⁶ and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa, and the lot will border on Carmel westward, and on Sion, and Labanath.

²⁷ And it will return westward from Bæthegeneth, and will join Zabulon and Ekgai, and Phthæel northwards, and the borders will come to Saphthæbæthme, and Inael, and will go on to Chobamasomel,

²⁸ and Elbon, and Raab, and Ememaon, and Canthan to great Sidon.

⁷ The land allotted to them also included the four cities of Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan, and their surrounding villages.

⁸ They were also allotted some very small villages in an area that extended south to Baalath-Beer (which is also named Ramah, in the southern desert). That was the land allotted to the clans of the tribe of Simeon.

⁹ The tribe of Judah had been allotted much more land than they needed, so part of their land was given to the tribe of Simeon.

¹⁰ The third/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Zebulun. Each clan of that tribe was allotted some of the land. The southern border started at Sarid city.

¹¹ It extended west to Maralah city and on to Dabbesheth city, and on to the brook just north of Jokneam city.

¹² The border extended east from Sarid to the area near Kisloth-Tabor city and on to Daberath town and on to Japhia town.

¹³ From there it extended east to Gath-Hepher city and Eth-Kazin town, and north to Rimmon city. From there the border extended west to Neah town.

¹⁴ From Neah it extended south to Hannathon city and from there to Iphtah-El Valley.

¹⁵ Their area included the towns of Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem. Altogether there were twelve towns and the surrounding villages.

¹⁶ That was the land that was allotted to the clans of the tribe of Zebulun.

¹⁷ The fourth/next tribe that was allotted land was the tribe of Issachar. Each of the clans of that tribe was allotted some of the land.

¹⁸ Their land included the cities of Jezreel, Kesulloth, Shunem,

¹⁹ Hapharaim, Shion, Anaharath,

²⁰ Rabbith, Kishion, Ebez,

²¹ Remeth, En-Gannim, En-Haddah, and Beth-Pazzez.

²² The border of the area that was allotted to the tribe of Issachar was close to Tabor, Shahazumah, and Beth-Shemesh cities, and ended in the east at the Jordan River. Altogether there were sixteen cities and the surrounding villages.

²⁵ Their border was Helkath, Hali, Beten, Achshaph,

²⁶ Allammelech, Amad, Mishal. It reached to Carmel westward, and to Shihorlibnath.

²⁷ It turned toward the sunrise to Beth Dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah El northward to Beth Emek and Neiel. It went out to Cabul on the left hand,

²⁸ and Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon.

⁵ Ziklag, Beth Marcaboth, Hazar Susah,

⁶ Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;

⁷ Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan; four cities with their villages;

⁸ and all the villages that were around these cities to Baalath Beer, Ramah of the South. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

⁹ Out of the part of the children of Judah was the inheritance of the children of Simeon; for the portion of the children of Judah was too much for them. Therefore the children of Simeon had inheritance in the middle of their inheritance.

¹⁰ The third lot came up for the children of Zebulun according to their families. The border of their inheritance was to Sarid.

¹¹ Their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth. It reached to the brook that is before Jokneam.

¹² It turned from Sarid eastward towards the sunrise to the border of Chisloth Tabor. It went out to Daberath, and went up to Japhia.

¹³ From there it passed along eastward to Gath Hepher, to Ethkazin; and it went out at Rimmon which stretches to Neah.

¹⁴ The border turned around it on the north to Hannathon; and it ended at the valley of Iphtah El;

¹⁵ Kattath, Nahalal, Shimron, Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities with their villages.

¹⁰ And the third heritage came out for Zebulun by their families; the limit of their heritage was as far as Sarid;

¹¹ And their limit goes up to the west to Maralah, stretching to Dabbesheth, and to the stream in front of Jokneam;

¹² Then turning east from Sarid to the limit of Chisloth-tabor, it goes out to Daberath, and up to Japhia;

¹³ And from there it goes on east to Gath-hepher, to Eth-kazin; ending at Rimmon which goes as far as Neah;

¹⁴ And the line goes round it on the north to Hannathon, ending at the valley of Iphtah-el;

¹⁰ And the third lot fell to the children of Zabulon by their kindreds: and the border of their possession was unto Sarid.

¹¹ And it went up from the sea and from Merala, and came to Debbaseth: as far as the torrent, which is over against Jeconam.

¹² And it returneth from Sarid eastward to the borders of Ceseleththabor: and it goeth out to Dabereth, and ascendeth towards Japhie.

¹³ And it passeth along from thence to the east side of Gethhepher and Thacasin: and goeth out to Remmon, Amthar and Noa.

²⁷ And it returneth towards the east to Bethdagon: and passeth along to Zabulon and to the valley of Jephthael towards the north to Bethemec and Nehiel. And it goeth out to the left side of Cabul,

²⁸ And to Abaran and Rohob and Hamon and Cana, as far as the great Sidon.

⁹ The allocation of the tribe of Simeon was part of that given to the tribe of Judah, since what the tribe of Judah had received was too large for them.

¹⁰ The third lot cast went to the tribe of Zebulun, by families. The boundary of their allocation began at Sarid,

¹¹ and then went west past Maralah, touched Dabbeshah, and then the brook near Jokneam.

¹² Going the other way from Sarid, the boundary headed east to the border of Kislot-tabor, on to Daberath, and then up to Japhia.

¹³ From there it ran east to Gath-hepher, Eth-kazin, and on to Rimmon, and turned towards Neah.

¹¹ And their border goeth vp Westwarde, euen to Maralah, and reacheth to Dabbasheth, and meeteth with the riuer that lyeth before Iokneam,

¹² And turneth from Sarid Eastward towarde the sunne rising vnto the border of Chisloth-tabor, and goeth out to Daberath, and ascendeth to Iaphia,

¹⁰ And then came up the third lot for the children of Zebulun according to their families; and the boundary of their inheritance extended up to Sarid;

¹¹ And their boundary went up toward the sea, and Mar'alah, and touched on Dabbesheth, and touched on the brook that is before Yokne'am;

¹² And turned from Sarid eastward toward the rising of the sun unto the border of Kisloth-tabor, and then went out to Daberath, and went up to Yaphia';

¹³ And from there it passed on in front to the east unto Gath-Chepher, to 'Eth-kazin, and went out to Rimmon, whence it extended to Ne'ah;

¹⁴ And this boundary turned about on the north side to Channathon; and its terminations were in the valley of Yiph-thach-el;

¹⁵ And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Yidalah, and Beth-lechem: twelve cities with their villages.

²² And the boundary touched on Tabor, and Shachazimah, and Beth-shemesh; and the terminations of their boundaries were at the Jordan: sixteen cities with their villages.

²⁴ And then came out the fifth lot for the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families.

²⁵ And their boundary was Chelkath, and Chali, and Beten, and Achshaph,

²⁶ And Allammelech, and 'Am'ad, and Mishal; and it touched on Carmel at the sea, and on Shichor-libnath;

²⁷ And it turned toward the rising of the sun to Beth-dagon, and touched on Zebulun, and on the valley of Yiphthach-el at the north, on Beth-ha'emek, and Ne'iel, and went out to Cabul on the left,

²⁸ And 'Ebron, and Rechob, and Chammon, and Kanah, up to Zidon the great city,

⁵ and Ziklag, and Beth-marcaboth, and Hazar-susah,

⁶ and Beth-lebaoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.

⁷ Rimmon, and Thalcha, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities and their villages,

⁸ round about their cities as far as Baalath as men go to Ramah southward: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families.

⁹ The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon was a part of the lot of Judah, for the portion of the children of Judah was greater than theirs; and the children of Simeon inherited in the midst of their lot.

¹⁰ And the third lot came out to Zebulun according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be—Esedekgola shall be their border,

¹¹ the sea and Magelda, and it shall reach to Beth-arabah in the valley, which is opposite Jokneam.

¹² And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Beth-shemesh, to the borders of Chisloth-tabor, and shall pass on to Daberath, and shall proceed upward to Japhia.

¹³ And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gath-hepher to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Rimmon Matharaoza.

¹⁴ And the borders shall come round northward to Hannathon, and their going out shall be at Iphtahel,

¹⁵ and Kattath, and Nahalal, and Shimron, and Jericho, and Bethlehem.

²² And the boundaries shall border upon Tabor, and upon Salim westward, and Beth-shemesh; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.

²⁸ and Ebron, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah to great Sidon.

⁵ Simeon also had Ziklag, Beth Markaboth, Hazar Susah,

⁶ Beth Lebaoth, and Sharuhen. These were thirteen cities, including their villages.

⁷ Simeon also had Ain, Rimmon, Ether, and Ashan. These were four cities, including their villages.

⁸ These were together, including their the villages around these cities as far as Baalath Beer (the same as Ramah in the Negev). This was the inheritance of the tribe of Simeon, clan by clan.

⁹ The inheritance of the tribe of Simeon formed part of the territory of the tribe of Judah. Because the portion of land assigned to the tribe of Judah was too large for them, the tribe of Simeon received their inheritance out of the middle of their portion.

¹¹ Their border went up westward toward Maralah and touched Dabbesheth; then it extended to the brook that was opposite Jokneam.

¹² From Sarid the border turned eastward toward the east and went to the border of Kisloth Tabor. From there it went to Daberath and then up to Japhia.

¹³ From there it passed on eastward to Gath Hepher, and then to Eth Kazin; next it went to Rimmon and turned toward Neah.

¹⁴ The border made a turn to the north to Hannathon and ended at the Valley of Iphtah El.
