38I speak those things, that I saw at my Father; and ye do those things, that ye saw at your father.
39They answered, and said to him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith to them, If ye be the sons of Abraham, (then) do ye the works of Abraham.
40But now ye seek to slay me, a man that have spoken to you the truth, that I heard of God (or that I heard from God); Abraham did not this thing.
