Isaiah 1:13-15 in English

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; new moon and sabbath, the calling of assemblies,—I cannot away with iniquity and the solemn meeting.

¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are a trouble unto me; I am weary of bearing them.

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Though ye bring fine flour, it is vain; incense is an abomination to me; I cannot bear your new moons, and your sabbaths, and the great day;

¹⁴ your fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts my soul hates: ye have become loathsome to me; I will no more pardon your sins.

¹⁵ When ye stretch forth your hands, I will turn away mine eyes from you: and though ye make many supplications, I will not hearken to you; for your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Stop bringing to me those offerings, because they are useless to me; I am disgusted with the incense that the priests burn. And your feasts to celebrate the new moon each month and your ◄Sabbath days/days of rest► and your other festivals— I detest them because of the wicked things that you do.

¹⁴ I SYN hate all your celebrations of each new moon and the other festivals that you celebrate each year. They are like MET a heavy burden that I am tired of carrying.

¹⁵ So, when you lift up your hands when you pray to me, I will not even look at you. Even if you pray to me very frequently, I will not listen to you, because it is as though your hands are covered with the blood of people whom you have killed.

¹³ Give me no more false offerings; the smoke of burning flesh is disgusting to me, so are your new moons and Sabbaths and your holy meetings.

¹⁴ Your new moons and your regular feasts are a grief to my soul: they are a weight in my spirit; I am crushed under them.

¹⁵ And when your hands are stretched out to me, my eyes will be turned away from you: even though you go on making prayers, I will not give ear: your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations! Incense is an abomination unto me, — new moon and sabbath, the calling of convocations — wickedness and the solemn meeting I cannot bear.

¹⁴ Your new moons and your set feasts my soul hateth: they are a burden to me; I am wearied of bearing them.

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Offer sacrifice no more in vain: incense is an abomination to me. The new moons, and the sabbaths, and other festivals I will not abide, your assemblies are wicked.

¹⁴ My soul hateth your new moons, and your solemnities: they are become troublesome to me, I am weary of bearing them.

¹⁵ And when you stretch forth your hands, I will turn away my eyes from you: and when you multiply prayer, I will not hear: for your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Don't bring me any more meaningless offerings; your incense is offensive to me. Your new moon festivals and Sabbath observations and your calling of special religious meetings—I can't stand them because they're evil, as are your solemn assemblies.

¹⁴ I detest your new moon and yearly festivals with my whole being! They've become just a burden to me—I can't bear them anymore!

¹⁵ When you hold up your hands to me in prayer, I'll look away. Even though you pray many prayers, I won't pay attention to them, because your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Bring no more oblations, in vaine: incense is an abomination vnto me: I can not suffer your newe moones, nor Sabbaths, nor solemne dayes (it is iniquitie) nor solemne assemblies.

¹⁴ My soule hateth your newe moones and your appointed feastes: they are a burden vnto me: I am weary to beare them.

¹⁵ And when you shall stretch out your hands, I wil hide mine eyes from you: and though ye make many prayers, I wil not heare: for your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Bring no more vain oblations; it is an offering of abomination unto Me; new moon and sabbath, the holding of convocations — I cannot endure iniquity along with the solemn assembly.

¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointed seasons My soul hateth; they are a burden unto Me; I am weary to bear them.

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide Mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear; your hands are full of blood.

¹⁴ Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth; they are become a burden unto me; I am weary to bear them,

¹⁵ And when ye spread forth your hands, I will withdraw my eyes from you; yea, when ye make ever so many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

¹³ Though ye bring fine flour, it is vain; incense is an abomination to me; I cannot bear your new moons, and your Sabbaths, and the great day;

¹⁴ your fasting, and rest from work, your new moons also, and your feasts my soul hates: ye have become loathsome to me; I will no more pardon your sins.

¹⁴ I hate your new moons and your appointed feasts; they are a burden to me; I am tired of enduring them.

¹⁵ So when you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even though you offer many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood.

¹⁴ my soul hateth your calends and your solemnities; those be dis-easeful to me, I travailed with suffering.

¹⁵ And when ye stretch forth your hands, I shall turn away mine eyes from you; and when ye multiply prayer, I shall not hear; for why your hands be full of blood.

¹³ Offer ye no more sacrifice(s) in vain; incense is abomination to me; I shall not suffer new moon, and sabbath, and other feasts. For your companies be wicked; (To offer your sacrifices any longer would be in vain, that is, empty and futile; your incense is an abomination to me; I will no longer abide new moon, or Sabbath, or other festivals. For your congregation is wicked;)

¹⁴ my soul hateth your calends and your solemnities; those be dis-easeful to me, I travailed (with) suffering. (my soul hateth your calends and your feasts; they be distasteful to me, and I am tired of having to witness them.)

¹⁵ And when ye stretch forth your hands, I shall turn away mine eyes from you; and when ye multiply prayer, I shall not hear (you); for why your hands be full of blood.

¹³ Add not to bring in a vain present, Incense — an abomination it is to Me, New moon, and sabbath, calling of convocation! Rendure not iniquity — and a restraint!

¹⁴ Your new moons and your set seasons hath My soul hated, They have been upon me for a burden, I have been weary of bearing.

¹⁵ And in your spreading forth your hands, I hide mine eyes from you, Also when ye increase prayer, I do not hear, Your hands of blood have been full.
