³⁰ Cry aloud with thy voice, O daughter of Gallim! hearken, O Laishah! O thou poor Anathoth!

³¹ Madmenah is a fugitive; the inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

³² This very day shall he halt at Nob: he shaketh his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will lop the boughs with terror: and the high of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be brought low.

³⁴ And he will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

³⁰ The daughter of Gallim shall flee; Laisa shall hear; one shall hear in Anathoth.

³¹ Madebena also is amazed, and the inhabitants of Gibbir.

³² Exhort ye them to-day to remain in the way: exhort ye beckoning with the hand the mountain, the daughter of Sion, even ye hills that are in Jerusalem.

³³ Behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will mightily confound the glorious ones; and the haughty in pride shall be crushed, and the lofty shall be brought low:

³⁴ and the lofty ones shall fall by the sword, and Libanus shall fall with his lofty ones.

³⁰ Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim: cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth.

³¹ Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

³⁰ You people of Gallim town will cry out for help. You will shout to the people of Laish city near Jerusalem to warn them! The people of Anathoth town will suffer a lot.

³¹ The people of Madmenah town north of Jerusalem will all be running away, and the people of Gebim town close to Jerusalem will be trying to hide.

³² The soldiers of Assyria will stop at Nob city outside Jerusalem. They will shake their fists as they threaten the people on Zion Hill in Jerusalem.

³³ But listen to this! The Commander of the armies of angels with his great power will destroy MET the mighty army of Assyria. It is as though they are a huge tree MET that he will cut down.

³⁴ He will destroy the soldiers of Assyria like men use big axes to cut down the tall trees in the forests of Lebanon.

³⁰ The daughter of Gallim shall flee; Laisa shall hear; one shall hear in Anathoth.

³³ See, the Lord, the Lord of armies, is cutting off his branches with a great noise, and his strong ones are falling and his high ones are coming down.

³⁴ And he is cutting down the thick places of the wood with an axe, and Lebanon with its tall trees is coming down.

³⁰ Lift up thy voice, daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! — Poor Anathoth!

³¹ Madmenah is fugitive; the inhabitants of Gebim take to flight.

³² Still a day of halting at Nob; he shaketh his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. ...

³³ Behold the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, shall lop the boughs with violence; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be brought low;

³⁴ and he shall make clearings in the thickets of the forest with iron; and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.

³⁰ Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim, attend, O Laisa, poor Anathoth.

³¹ Medemena is removed: ye inhabitants of Gabim, take courage.

³² It is yet day enough, to remain in Nobe: he shall shake his hand against the mountain of the daughter of Sion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Behold the sovereign Lord of hosts shall break the earthen vessel with terror, and the tall of stature shall be cut down, and the lofty shall be humbled.

³⁴ And the thickets of the forest shall be cut down with iron, and Libanus with its high ones shall fall.

³⁰ Shout out a warning, people of Gallim! Pay attention, those living in Laishah! You poor people of Anathoth!

³¹ The people of Madmenah, are all running away. The inhabitants of Gebim are looking for somewhere safe.

³² Today the invaders stop at Nob, shaking their fists at the mountain of the Daughter of Zion, at the hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Look how the Lord Almighty is going to chop off the branches with great force. The tall trees will be cut down, the proud trees will be brought crashing down.

³⁴ He will cut down the thick forest with an ax, and Lebanon will fall at the hand of the Mighty One.

³⁰ Lift vp thy voyce, O daughter Gallim, cause Laish to heare, O poore Anathoth.

³¹ Madmenah is remoued: the inhabitants of Gebim haue gathered themselues together.

³² Yet there is a time that he will stay at Nob: he shall lift vp his hand towarde the mount of the daughter Zion, the hill of Ierusalem.

³³ Beholde, the Lord God of hostes shall cut off the bough with feare, and they of high stature shalbe cut off, and the hie shalbe humbled.

³⁴ And he shall cut away the thicke places of the forest with yron, and Lebanon shall haue a mightie fall.

³⁰ Cry thou with a shrill voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! O thou poor Anathoth!

³¹ Madmenah is in mad flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee to cover.

³² This very day shall he halt at Nob, shaking his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Behold, the Lord, the Eternal of hosts, will lop off the fruitful bough with terrific might: and those of towering growth shall be hewn down, and the high shall be laid low.

³⁴ And he will cut down the thickets of the forests with iron, and the Lebanon shall fall by means of a mighty one.

³⁰ The daughter of Gallim shall flee; Laishah shall hear; one shall hear in Anathoth.

³³ Behold, the Lord Yahweh of hosts will lop off the boughs with a terrifying crash; the tallest trees will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.

³⁴ He will chop down the thickets of the forest with an ax, and Lebanon in his majesty will fall.

³³ Lo! the Lordly Governor, the Lord of hosts, shall break a pottle in dread, and high men of stature shall be cut down. And proud men shall be made low,

³⁴ and the thick things of the forest shall be destroyed by iron; and the Lebanon with high things shall fall down.

³⁰ Thou daughter of Gallim, wail with thy voice; thou Laish, perceive (it), thou poor Anathoth.

³¹ Madmenah passed; the dwellers of Gebim fled; be ye comforted. (The people of Madmenah flew; the inhabitants of Gebim fled away; be ye strong.)

³² Yet it is (the) day, that men stand in Nob; he shall drive his hand on the hill of the daughter of Zion, on the little hill of Jerusalem. (Yet this is the day, when people shall stand in Nob; and he shall drive his hand against the hill of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.)

³³ Lo! the Lordly Governor, the Lord of hosts, shall break a pottle in dread (or shall break the boughs of the trees with frightful lightning), and high men of stature shall be cut down. And proud men shall be made low,

³⁴ and the thick things of the forest shall be destroyed by iron; and the Lebanon with (its) high things shall fall down.

³⁰ Cry aloud with thy voice, daughter of Gallim, Give attention, Laish! answer her, Anathoth.

³¹ Fled away hath Madmenah, The inhabitants of the high places have hardened themselves.

³² Yet to-day in Nob to remain, Wave its hand doth the mount of the daughter of Zion, The hill of Jerusalem.

³³ Lo, the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts, Is lopping a branch with violence, And the high of stature are cut down, And the lofty are become low,

³⁴ And He hath gone round the thickets of the forest with iron, And Lebanon by a mighty one falleth!
