²⁶ And Jehovah of hosts will stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb: and his rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up after the manner of Egypt.

²⁷ And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness.

²⁸ He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmash he layeth up his baggage;

²⁹ they are gone over the pass; they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah trembleth; Gibeah of Saul is fled.

³⁰ Cry aloud with thy voice, O daughter of Gallim! hearken, O Laishah! O thou poor Anathoth!

²⁶ And God will stir up enemies against them, according to the stroke of Madiam in the place of affliction: and his wrath shall be by the way of the sea, even to the way that leads to Egypt.

²⁷ And it shall come to pass in that day, that his yoke shall be taken away from thy shoulder, and his fear from thee, and the yoke shall be destroyed from off your shoulders.

²⁸ For he shall arrive at the city of Angai, and shall pass on to Maggedo, and shall lay up his stores in Machmas.

²⁹ And he shall pass by the valley, and shall arrive at Angai: fear shall seize upon Rama, the city of Saul.

³⁰ The daughter of Gallim shall flee; Laisa shall hear; one shall hear in Anathoth.

²⁶ The Commander of the armies of angels will whip them. He will do to them like he did when he helped Gideon and his 300 soldiers to defeat the army of the Midian people-group, and like he did when he showed his mighty power MTY by causing the army of Egypt to drown in the Red Sea.

²⁷ Some day, Yahweh will cause the army of Assyria to stop oppressing you, his people; he will end your suffering and your being slaves of the people of Assyria MET; he will take away the load that you people of Judah have been carrying, and cause things to go well for you.

²⁸ The army of Assyria will enter northern Judah near Aiath town, they will go through Migron town and store their supplies at Micmash town north of Jerusalem.

²⁹ They will cross through a mountain pass and set up their tents at Geba town. People in Ramah town will tremble because of being afraid. The people of Gibeah town, where King Saul was born, will all run away.

³⁰ You people of Gallim town will cry out for help. You will shout to the people of Laish city near Jerusalem to warn them! The people of Anathoth town will suffer a lot.

²⁷ And in that day the weight which he put on your back will be taken away, and his yoke broken from off your neck.

²⁸ He has gone up from Pene-Rimmon, he has come to Aiath; he has gone past Migron, at Michmash he puts his forces in order.

²⁹ They have gone across the mountain; Geba will be our resting-place tonight, they say: Ramah is shaking with fear; Gibeah of Saul has gone in flight.

³⁰ Give a loud cry, daughter of Gallim; let Laishah give ear; let Anathoth give answer to her.

²⁶ And the Lord of hosts shall raise up a scourge against him, according to the slaughter of Madian in the rock of Oreb, and his rod over the sea, and he shall lift it up in the way of Egypt.

²⁷ And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall putrify at the presence of the oil.

²⁸ He shall come into Aiath, he shall pass into Magron: at Machmas he shall lay up his carriages.

²⁹ They have passed in haste, Gaba is our lodging: Rama was astonished, Gabaath of Saul fled away.

³⁰ Lift up thy voice, O daughter of Gallim, attend, O Laisa, poor Anathoth.

²⁶ The Lord Almighty will lash them with a whip, just as he did when he attacked the Midianites at the rock of Oreb. He will hold up his rod over the sea, just as he did in Egypt.

²⁷ At that time he will remove the burden from your shoulders and the yoke from your neck. The yoke will be broken because of the anointing with oil.

²⁸ The Assyrians came to Aiath, passed through Migron, and stored their supplies at Michmash.

²⁹ They cross the pass, saying, “We'll stay overnight at Geba.” The people of Ramah tremble in fear; the inhabitants of Gibeah of Saul run away.

³⁰ Shout out a warning, people of Gallim! Pay attention, those living in Laishah! You poor people of Anathoth!

²⁶ And ye Lord of hostes shall raise vp a scourge for him, according to the plague of Midian in the rocke Oreb: and as his staffe was vpon the Sea, so he will lift it vp after the maner of Egypt.

²⁷ And at that day shall his burden be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy necke: and the yoke shalbe destroied because of the anoynting.

²⁸ He is come to Aiath: he is passed into Migron: at Michmash shall he lay vp his armour.

²⁹ They haue gone ouer the foorde: they lodged in the lodging at Geba: Ramah is afraide: Gibeah of Saul is fled away.

³⁰ Lift vp thy voyce, O daughter Gallim, cause Laish to heare, O poore Anathoth.

²⁸ He cometh to 'Ayath, he passeth on to Migron; at Michmash he layeth up his baggage;

²⁹ They go through the pass; they take up their lodging at Geba'; Ramah trembleth; Gib'ah of Saul fleeth.

³⁰ Let thy voice resound, O daughter of Gallim; listen Layshah; O poor 'Anathoth!

²⁷ In that day shall his burden be removed from thy shoulder, And his yoke from thy neck; Yea, thy yoke shall be broken, as that of a fat steer.

²⁸ He is come to Aiath; he passeth through Migron; In Michmash he leaveth his baggage;

²⁹ They pass the strait; At Geba they make their night-quarters; Ramah trembleth; Gibeah of Saul fleeth.

³⁰ Cry aloud, O daughter of Gallim! Hear, O Laish! Alas, poor Anathoth!

²⁶ Adonai Tzva'ot Yahweh Commander of heaven’s armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian Strife at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt Abode of slavery.

²⁷ It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

²⁷ On that day, his burden is lifted from your shoulder and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke will be destroyed because of fatness.

²⁸ The enemy has come to Aiath and has passed through Migron; at Michmash he has stored his provisions.

²⁹ They have crossed over the pass and they lodge at Geba. Ramah trembles and Gibeah of Saul has fled.

³⁰ Cry aloud, daughter of Gallim! Give attention, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

²⁸ He shall come into Aiath, he shall pass into Migron, at Michmash he shall betake his vessels to keeping.

²⁹ They passed swiftly, Geba is our seat, Ramah was astonied, Gibeah of Saul fled.

³⁰ Thou daughter of Gallim, wail with thy voice; thou Laish, perceive, thou poor Anathoth.

²⁶ And the Lord of hosts shall raise up a scourge on him by the vengeance of Midian in the stone of Oreb, and by his rod on the sea; and he shall raise (up) that rod in the way of Egypt. (And the Lord of hosts shall raise up a scourge upon them like his vengeance upon Midian at the stone of Oreb, and his rod shall be upon the River, like he raised up that rod against Egypt.)

²⁷ And it shall be in that day, his burden shall be taken away from thy shoulder, and his yoke from thy neck; and the yoke shall wax all rotten from the face of oil. (And it shall be on that day, his burden shall be taken away from thy shoulder, and his yoke from thy neck; and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.)

²⁸ He shall come into Aiath, he shall pass into Migron, at Michmash he shall betake his vessels to (safe) keeping.

²⁹ They passed swiftly, Geba is our seat, Ramah was astonied (or Ramah was astonished), Gibeah of Saul (hath) fled.

³⁰ Thou daughter of Gallim, wail with thy voice; thou Laish, perceive (it), thou poor Anathoth.

²⁶ And awaking for him is Jehovah of Hosts, A scourge like the smiting of Midian at the rock Oreb, And his rod is over the sea, And he hath lifted it in the way of Egypt.

²⁷ And it hath come to pass, in that day, Turned is his burden from off thy shoulder, And his yoke from off thy neck, And destroyed hath been the yoke, because of prosperity.

²⁸ He hath come in against Aiath, He hath passed over into Migron, At Michmash he looketh after his vessels.

²⁹ They have gone over the passage, Geba they have made a lodging place, Trembled hath Rama, Gibeah of Saul fled.

³⁰ Cry aloud with thy voice, daughter of Gallim, Give attention, Laish! answer her, Anathoth.
