25 All during the years that Solomon ruled, the people of Judah and Israel lived safely. Each family had its own grapevines and fig trees.
26 Solomon had 4,000 stalls for the horses that pulled his chariots and 12,000 men who rode on horses (OR, in the chariots).
27 His twelve governors supplied the food that King Solomon needed for himself and for all those who ate in the palace. Each governor supplied food for one month each year. They provided everything LIT that Solomon required.
28 They also brought stalks of barley and wheat for the fast horses that pulled the chariots and for the other work horses. They brought it to the places where the horses were kept.
29 God enabled Solomon to be extremely wise and to have great insight/understanding. He understood about more things than the number of grains of sand on the seashore HYP.
30 He was wiser than all the wise men in Arabia and Mesopotamia and all the wise men in Egypt.
31 Ethan from Ezrah and Heman and Calcol and Darda and the sons of Mahol were considered to be very wise, but Solomon was wiser than all of them. People in all the nearby countries heard about Solomon.
32 He composed/wrote 3,000 ◄proverbs/wise sayings► and more than 1,000 songs.

25 And Judah and Israel dwelled without any dread (or And the people of Judah and Israel lived without any fear), each man under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan unto Beersheba, in all the days of Solomon.
26 And Solomon had forty thousand cratches of horses for chariots, and twelve thousand of road horses; (And Solomon had forty thousand stalls for the horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand road horses;)
27 and the foresaid prefects/the chief masters of the king nourished those horses. But also with great busyness they gave the necessaries to the board of king Solomon, in their time, (or But also with great diligence they gave the necessities for King Solomon’s table, each in his turn);
28 also they brought barley, and forage of horses and of work beasts, into the place where the king was, after it was ordained to them. (they also brought barley, and forage, for the horses and the work beasts, to the place where the king was, as it was ordained to them.)
29 Also God gave to Solomon wisdom, and prudence full much (or and a great deal of prudence), and largeness of heart, as the sand that is in the brink of the sea.
30 And the wisdom of Solomon passed the wisdom of all the east men, and Egyptians; (And Solomon’s wisdom surpassed the wisdom of all the men of the East, and of all the Egyptians;)
31 and he was wiser than all men; he was wiser than Ethan (the) Ezrahite, and than Heman, and than Chalcol, and than Darda, the sons of Mahol; and he was named among all folks by compass.
32 And Solomon spake three thousand parables, and his songs were a thousand and five;

26 And Solomon hath forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 And these officers have sustained king Solomon and every one drawing near unto the table of king Solomon, each in his month; they let nothing be lacking.
28 And the barley and the straw, for horses and for dromedaries, they bring in unto the place where they are, each according to his ordinance.
29 And God giveth wisdom to Solomon, and understanding, very much, and breadth of heart, as the sand that is on the edge of the sea;
30 and the wisdom of Solomon is greater than the wisdom of any of the sons of the east, and than all the wisdom of Egypt;
31 and he is wiser than all men, than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, sons of Mahol, and his name is in all the nations round about.
32 And he speaketh three thousand similes, and his songs are five, and the chief one;
