Ecclesiastes 5:1-3 in English

¹ Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God; for to draw nigh to hear is better than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they know not that they do evil.

² Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thy heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.

³ For a dream cometh with a multitude of business, and a fool’s voice with a multitude of words.

¹ When you enter God's temple, you should be sure to listen carefully. Doing that is better than offering sacrifices to God and then not obeying him, which is foolish.

² Think carefully before you speak MTY or before you promise God that you will do something IDM. Do not forget that God is in heaven and he is all-powerful and you are here on the earth, so think carefully before you make any promises to God.

³ If you are continually thinking and worrying about things, you will have bad dreams about them and not rest well. And the more you talk, the more likely it will be that you will say things that are foolish.

³ If thou hast vowed any thing to God, defer not to pay it: for an unfaithful and foolish promise displeaseth him: but whatsoever thou hast vowed, pay it.

¹ Be careful when you go into God's house. It's better to listen and respond rather than offer meaningless sacrifices. People who do that don't even know they are doing wrong.

² Don't say rash things, and think before you speak to God. For God is in heaven, and you are on earth, so keep it short.

³ When you worry too much, you get nightmares; when you talk too much, you say foolish things.

² For as a dreame commeth by the multitude of businesse: so the voyce of a foole is in the multitude of wordes.

³ When thou hast vowed a vowe to God, deferre not to pay it: for he deliteth not in fooles: pay therefore that thou hast vowed.

³ (5:2) For a dream cometh through being much employed with something, and the voice of a fool cometh with a multitude of words.

² Do not be too quick to speak with your mouth, and do not let your heart be too quick to bring any matter up before God. God is in heaven, but you are on earth, so let your words be few.

³ If you have too many things to do and worry about, you will probably have bad dreams. The more words you speak, the more foolish things you will probably say.
