Acts 16:4-9

⁴Then Paul, Silas and Timothy went to the towns in that country, and they told the Christians the things the leaders in Jerusalem talked about, and they told them to do everything those leaders said in their letter.

⁵So the people in the churches in those places trusted Jesus more strongly, and every day other people joined them and trusted in Jesus too.

⁶Paul and his friends wanted to tell the message about Jesus to the people in the country called Asia, but the Holy Spirit told them, “No, don’t do that.” So they went through the countries called Phrygia and Galatia.

⁷Then they came to the country called Mysia, and they tried to go on into the next country, called Bithynia. But the Holy Spirit said again, “No, don’t do that.”

⁸So they went past Mysia and came to the town called Troas.

⁹They stayed at Troas, and that night Paul had something like a dream, but he was not asleep, he was still awake. He saw a man from Macedonia country. That man stood there and kept telling Paul, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.”
