2 Kings 14:21-24 in English

²¹ And all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

²² He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years.

²⁴ And he did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, wherewith he made Israel to sin.

²¹ And all the people of Juda took Azarias, and he was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amessias.

²² He built Æloth, and restored it to Juda, after the king slept with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amessias son of Joas king of Juda began Jeroboam son of Joas to reign over Israel in Samaria forty and one years.

²¹ Then all the people of Judah appointed Amaziah's son Uzziah, when he was sixteen years old, to be their king

²² After his father died, Uzziah's workers captured Elath city, and it came under the control of Judah again.

²³ When Amaziah had been ruling Judah for almost fifteen years, Jeroboam #2 became the king of Israel. He ruled in Samaria city for forty-one years.

²⁴ He did many things that Yahweh considered to be evil. He did not stop committing the same kind of sins that Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, committed, sins which led the Israeli people to sin also.

²⁴ He did evil in the eyes of the Lord, not turning away from the sin which Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, did and made Israel do.

²¹ And all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah.

²² It was he that built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after the king slept with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, for forty-one years.

²⁴ And he did evil in the sight of Jehovah: he departed not from any of the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amasias son of Joas king of Juda, reigned Jeroboam the son of Joas king of Israel in Samaria, one and forty years:

²⁴ And he did that which was evil before the Lord. He departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nabat, who made Israel to sin.

²¹ Then all the people of Judah made Amaziah's son Azariah king to replace his father. Azariah was sixteen years old.

²² Azariah recaptured Elath for Judah and rebuilt it after his father's death.

²³ Jeroboam, son of Jehoash, became king of Israel in the fifteenth year of the reign of Amaziah, son of Joash, king of Judah. He reigned in Samaria for forty-one years.

²⁴ He did what was evil in the Lord's sight and did not end all the sins that Jeroboam, son of Nebat, had made Israel commit.

²¹ Then all the people of Iudah tooke Azariah which was sixteene yeere olde, and made him King for his father Amaziah.

²² He built Elath, and restored it to Iudah, after that the King slept with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth yeere of Amaziah the sonne of Ioash King of Iudah, was Ieroboam the sonne of Ioash made King ouer Israel in Samaria, and reigned one and fourtie yeere.

²⁴ And he did euill in the sight of the Lord: for he departed not from all the sinnes of Ieroboam the sonne of Nebat, which made Israel to sinne.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amazyahu the son of Joash the king of Judah became Jerobo'am the son of Joash the king of Israel king in Samaria, for forty and one years.

²⁴ And he did what is evil in the eyes of the Lord: he departed not from all the sins of Jerobo'am the son of Nebat, who induced Israel to sin.

²¹ And all the people of Judah took Uzziah, and he was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

²² He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after the king slept with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah began Jeroboam son of Joash to reign over Israel in Samaria forty and one years.

²⁴ And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who led Israel to sin.

²¹ All the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah.

²² It was Azariah who rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah, after King Amaziah slept with his ancestors.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria; he reigned forty-one years.

²⁴ He did what was evil in the sight of Yahweh. He did not depart from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin.

²⁴ and did that, that is evil before the Lord; he went not away from all the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, that made Israel to do sin.

²¹ Forsooth all the people of Judah took Azariah, having sixteen years; and made him king for his father Amaziah. (And all the people of Judah took Azariah, also known as Uzziah, who was sixteen years old; and made him king for his father Amaziah.)

²² He builded Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers. (And he built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that King Amaziah slept with his forefathers, or died.)

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah, the son of Joash, king of Judah, Jeroboam (II), the son of Jehoash, king of Israel, reigned in Samaria one and forty years; (In the fifteenth year of Amaziah, the son of Joash, the king of Judah, Jeroboam II, the son of Jehoash, the king of Israel, began to reign in Samaria, and he reigned for forty-one years;)

²⁴ and did that, that is evil before the Lord, (or and he did what was evil before the Lord); he went not away from all the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat, that made Israel to do sin.

²¹ And all the people of Judah take Azariah, and he is a son of sixteen years, and cause him to reign instead of his father Amaziah;

²² he hath built Elath, and bringeth it back to Judah, after the lying of the king with his fathers.

²³ In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, reigned hath Jeroboam son of Joash king of Israel in Samaria — forty and one years,

²⁴ and he doth the evil thing in the eyes of Jehovah, he hath not turned aside from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
