³⁷ After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.

³⁸ And he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths; and every laver was four cubits; and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.

³⁹ And he set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of Jehovah:

⁴¹ the two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars; and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars;

⁴² and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks; two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;

⁵⁰ and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the firepans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, to wit, of the temple, of gold.

⁵¹ Thus all the work that king Solomon wrought in the house of Jehovah was finished. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.

³⁵ And he put the five candlesticks on the left, and five on the right in front of the oracle, being of pure gold, and the lamp-stands, and the lamps, and the snuffers of gold.

³⁶ And there were made the porches, and the nails, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the golden censers, of pure gold: and the panels of the doors of the innermost part of the house, even the holy of holies, and the golden doors of the temple.

³⁷ So the work of the house of the Lord which Solomon wrought was finished; and Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father, and all the holy things of Solomon; he put the silver, and the gold, and the furniture, into the treasures of the house of the Lord.

³⁸ And Solomon built a house for himself in thirteen years.

³⁹ And he built the house with the wood of Libanus; its length was a hundred cubits, and its breadth was fifty cubits, and its height was of thirty cubits, and it was made with three rows of cedar pillars, and the pillars had side-pieces of cedar.

⁴⁰ And he formed the house with chambers above on the sides of the pillars, and the number of the pillars was each row forty and five,

⁴¹ and there were three chambers, and space against space in three rows.

⁴² And all the doors and spaces formed like chambers were square, and from door to door was a correspondence in three rows.

⁴³ And he made the porch of the pillars, they were fifty cubits long and fifty broad, the porch joining them in front; and the other pillars and the thick beam were in front of the house by the porches.

⁴⁴ And there was the Porch of seats where he would judge, the porch of judgment.

⁴⁵ And their house where he would dwell, had one court communicating with these according to this work; and he built the house for the daughter of Pharao whom Solomon had taken, according to this porch.

⁴⁶ All these were of costly stones, sculptured at intervals within even from the foundation even to the top, and outward to the great court,

⁴⁷ founded with large costly stones, stones of ten cubits and eight cubits long.

⁴⁸ And above with costly stones, according to the measure of hewn stones, and with cedars.

⁴⁹ There were three rows of hewn stones round about the great hall, and a row of sculptured cedar:

⁵⁰ and Solomon finished all his house.

³⁸ And he made ten brazen lavers, each laver containing forty baths, and measuring four cubits, each laver placed on a several base throughout the ten bases.

³⁹ And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and the sea was placed on the right side of the house eastward in the direction of the south.

⁴⁰ And Chiram made the caldrons, and the pans, and the bowls; and Chiram finished making all the works that he wrought for king Solomon in the house of the Lord:

⁴¹ two pillars and the wreathen works of the pillars on the heads of the two pillars; and the two networks to cover both the wreathen works of the flutings that were upon the pillars.

⁴² The four hundred pomegranates for both the networks, two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover both the wreathen works of the bases belonging to both pillars.

⁴³ And the ten bases, and the ten lavers upon the bases.

⁴⁵ And the caldrons, and pans, and bowls, and all the furniture, which Chiram made for king Solomon for the house of the Lord: and there were eight and forty pillars of the house of the king and of the house of the Lord: all the works of the king which Chiram made were entirely of brass.

⁴⁷ There was no reckoning of the brass of which he made all these works, from the very great abundance, there was no end of the weight of the brass. In the country round about Jordan did he cast them, in the clay land between Socchoth and Sira.

⁴⁸ And king Solomon took the furniture which Chiram made for the house of the Lord, the golden altar, and the golden table of show bread.

³⁵ There was a nine-inch bronze band around the top of each cart. There were braces attached to the corners of each cart. The bands and the braces were cast in the same mold as the rest of the cart.

³⁶ The braces and the panels on the sides of the carts were also decorated with figures of winged creatures, lions, and palm trees, whenever there was space for them, and there were bronze wreaths all around them.

³⁷ That is how Huram made the ten carts. They were all cast in the same mold, so they were all alike: They all were the same size and had the same shape.

³⁸ Huram also made ten bronze basins, one for each cart. Each basin was six feet across and held 200 gallons of water.

³⁹ Huram placed five of the carts on the south side of the temple and five on the north side. He put the big tank at the southeast corner.

⁴⁰ Huram also made pots, shovels for carrying ashes, and bowls for carrying the blood of the animals that would be sacrificed. He completed all the work that King Solomon requested him to do for the temple. This is a list of the bronze things he made:

⁴¹ the two pillars; the two top parts to be put over the pillars; the two wreaths of chains to decorate the tops of the pillars;

⁴² the 400 figures of pomegranates, in two rows, with 100 in each row, that were placed over the top parts of the pillars;

⁴³ the ten carts; the ten basins;

⁴⁴ the big tank; the twelve statues of oxen on whose backs the tank was placed;

⁴⁵ the pots, shovels for the ashes of the altar, and bowls. Huram and his workers made all these things for King Solomon and put them outside the temple. They were all made of polished bronze.

⁴⁶ They made them by pouring melted bronze into the clay molds that Huram had set up near the Jordan River valley, between the cities of Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ Solomon did not tell his workers to weigh those bronze objects, because there were many items. So no one ever knew what they weighed.

⁴⁸ Solomon's workers also made all the gold items for the temple: the altar; the table on which the priests put the sacred bread placed before God;

⁴⁹ the ten lampstands that were put in front of the Very Holy Place, five on the south side and five on the north side; the decorations that resembled flowers; the lamps; the tongs to grasp the hot coals;

⁵⁰ the cups, the gold lamp wick snuffers, the small lamp bowls, the dishes for incense, the pans for carrying the hot coals, and the hinges for the doors at the entrance to the Very Holy Place and for the doors at the entrance to the main room of the temple. Those things were all made of gold.

⁵¹ So Solomon's workers finished all the work for the temple. Then they placed in the temple storerooms all the things that his father David had dedicated to Yahweh—all the silver and gold, and the other valuable items.

³⁹ And he put the bases by the house, five on the right side and five on the left; and he put the great water-vessel on the right side of the house, to the east, facing south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the pots and spades and the basins. So Hiram came to the end of all the work he did for King Solomon in the house of the Lord:

⁴¹ The two pillars and the two cups of the crowns which were on the tops of the two pillars; and the network covering the two cups of the crowns on the tops of the pillars,

⁴² And the four hundred apples for the network, two lines of apples for every network, covering the two cups of the crowns on the pillars;

⁴³ And the ten bases, with the ten washing-vessels on them;

⁴⁴ And the great water-vessel, with the twelve oxen under it;

⁴⁵ And the pots and the spades and the basins; all the vessels which Hiram made for King Solomon, for the house of the Lord, were of polished brass.

⁴⁶ He made them of liquid metal in the lowland of Jordan, at the way across the river, at Adama, between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ The weight of all these vessels was not measured, because there was such a number of them; it was not possible to get the weight of the brass.

⁴⁸ And Solomon had all the vessels made for use in the house of the Lord: the altar of gold and the gold table on which the holy bread was placed;

⁴⁹ And the supports for the lights, five on the right side and five on the left before the inmost room, of clear gold; and the flowers and the lights and all the instruments of gold;

⁵⁰ And the cups and the scissors and the basins and the spoons and the fire-trays, all of gold; and the pins on which the doors were turned, the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and the doors of the Temple, all of gold.

⁵¹ So all the work King Solomon had done in the house of the Lord was complete. Then Solomon took the holy things which David his father had given, the silver and the gold and all the vessels, and put them in the store-houses of the house of the Lord.

³⁵ And in the top of the base there was a circular elevation of half a cubit round about; and on the top of the base its stays and its panels were of the same.

³⁶ And he engraved on the plates of its stays and on its panels cherubim, lions and palm-trees, according to the space upon each; and garlands were round about.

³⁷ After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, one form.

³⁸ And he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths; every laver was four cubits; upon every one of the ten bases one laver.

³⁹ And he put the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house; and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, over against the south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the bowls. So Hiram ended doing all the work that he made for king Solomon for the house of Jehovah:

⁴¹ two pillars, and the globes of the capitals that were on the top of the pillars, two; and the two networks, to cover the two globes of the capitals which were on the top of the pillars;

⁴² and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for one network, to cover the two globes of the capitals which were upon the pillars;

⁴³ and the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

⁴⁴ and one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵ and the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls. And all these things, which Hiram made king Solomon for the house of Jehovah, were of bright brass.

⁴⁶ In the plain of the Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay-ground between Succoth and Zaretan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed from their exceeding number; the weight of the brass was not ascertained.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels that were in the house of Jehovah: the golden altar; and the table of gold, whereon was the shewbread;

⁴⁹ and the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right, and five on the left, before the oracle; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,

⁵⁰ and the basons, and the knives, and the bowls, and the cups, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, for the folding-doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple.

⁵¹ And all the work was finished that king Solomon made for the house of Jehovah. And Solomon brought in the things that David his father had dedicated; the silver and the gold and the vessels he put among the treasures of the house of Jehovah.

³⁵ And in the top of the base there was a round compass of half a cubit, so wrought that the laver might be set thereon, having its gravings, and divers sculptures of itself.

³⁶ He engraved also in those plates, which were of brass. and in the corners, cherubims, and lions, and palm trees, in likeness of a man standing, so that they seemed not to be engraven, but added round about.

³⁷ After this manner he made ten bases, of one casting and measure, and the like graving.

³⁸ He made also ten lavers of brass: one laver contained four bases, and was of four cubits: and upon every base, in all ten, he put as many lavers.

³⁹ And he set the ten bases, five on the right side of the temple, and five on the left: and the sea he put on the right side of the temple over against the east southward.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made caldrons, and shovels, and basins, and finished all the work of king Solomon in the temple of the Lord.

⁴¹ The two pillars and the two cords of the chapiters, upon the chapiters of the pillars: and the two networks, to cover the two cords, that were upon the top of the pillars.

⁴² And four hundred pomegranates for the two networks: two rows of pomegranates for each network, to cover the cords of the chapiters, which were upon the tops of the pillars.

⁴⁴ And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea.

⁴⁵ And the caldrons, and the shovels, and the basins. All the vessels that Hiram made for king Solomon for the house of the Lord, were of fine brass.

⁴⁶ In the plains of the Jordan did the king cast them in a clay ground, between Socoth and Sartham.

⁴⁷ And Solomon placed all the vessels: but for exceeding great multitude the brass could not be weighed.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels for the house of the Lord: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which the leaves of proposition should be set:

⁴⁹ And the golden candlesticks, five on the right hand, and five on the left, over against the oracle, of pure gold: and the flowers like lilies, and the lamps over them of gold: and golden snuffers,

⁵⁰ And pots, and fleshhooks, and bowls, and mortars, and censers, of most pure gold: and the hinges for the doors of the inner house of the holy of holies, and for the doors of the house of the temple were of gold.

⁵¹ And Solomon finished all the work that he made in the house of the Lord, and brought in the things that David his father had dedicated, the silver and the gold, and the vessels, and laid them up in the treasures of the house of the Lord.

³⁵ There was a ring on the top of the cart a half cubit wide. The supports and panels were cast as one piece with the top of the cart.

³⁶ He had designs of cherubim, lions, and palm trees engraved on the panels, supports, and frame, wherever there was space, with decorative wreaths all around.

³⁷ This is how he made the ten carts, with the same casts, size, and shape.

³⁸ Then he made ten bronze basins. Each one held forty baths and measured four cubits across, one basin for each of the ten carts.

³⁹ He placed five carts on the south side of the Temple and five on the north side. He placed the Sea on the south side, by the southeast corner of the Temple.

⁴⁰ He also made the pots, shovels, and bowls. So Hiram finished making everything required by King Solomon for the Temple of the Lord:

⁴¹ the two columns; the two capitals shaped like bowls on top the columns; the two chain networks that covered the bowls of the capitals on top of the columns;

⁴² the four hundred ornamental pomegranates for the chain networks (in two rows for the chain networks that covered the capitals on top of the columns);

⁴³ the ten carts; the ten basins on the carts;

⁴⁴ the Sea; the twelve bulls under the Sea;

⁴⁵ and the pots, shovels, and bowls. Everything that Hiram made for King Solomon in the Temple of the Lord was made of polished bronze.

⁴⁶ The king had them cast in molds made of clay in the Jordan valley between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ Solomon did not weigh anything that had been made because there was just so much—the weight of bronze used could not be measured.

⁴⁸ Solomon also had made all the items for the Temple of the Lord: the golden altar; the golden table where the Bread of the Presence was placed;

⁴⁹ the lampstands made of pure gold that stood in front of the inner sanctuary, five on the right and five on the left; the flowers, lamps, and tongs that were all made of pure gold;

⁵⁰ the basins, wick trimmers, bowls, ladles, and censers that again were all made of pure gold; and the gold hinges for the doors of the inner sanctuary, the Most Holy Place, in addition to the doors of the main hall of the Temple.

⁵¹ In this way all King Solomon's work for the Temple of the Lord was completed. Then Solomon brought in the items his father David had dedicated, the special objects made of silver, the gold, and the Temple furnishings, and he placed them in the treasuries of the Temple of the Lord.

³⁵ And in the toppe of the base was a rounde compasse of halfe a cubite hie round about: and vpon the toppe of the base the ledges thereof and the borders thereof were of the same.

³⁶ And vpon the tables of the ledges thereof, and on the borders thereof he did graue Cherubims, lions and palmetrees, on the side of euery one, and addicions round about.

³⁷ Thus made he the tenne bases, They had all one casting, one measure, and one syse.

³⁸ Then made he ten caldrons of brasse, one caldron conteyned fourty Baths: and euery caldron was foure cubites, one caldron was vpon one base throughout the ten bases.

³⁹ And he set the bases, fiue on the right side of the house, and fiue on the left side of the house. And he set the sea on the right side of the house Eastward toward the South.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made caldrons, and besomes, and basens, and Hiram finished all the worke that he made to King Salomon for the house of ye Lord:

⁴¹ To wit, two pillars and two bowles of the chapiters that were on the toppe of the two pillars, and two grates to couer the two bowles of the chapiters which were vpon the toppe of the pillars,

⁴² And foure hundreth pomegranates for the two grates, euen two rowes of pomegranates for euery grate to couer the two bowles of the chapiters, that were vpon the pillars,

⁴³ And the ten bases, and ten caldrons vpon the bases,

⁴⁴ And the sea, and twelue bulles vnder that sea,

⁴⁵ And pottes, and besomes and basens: and all these vessels, which Hiram made to King Salomon for the house of the Lord, were of shining brasse.

⁴⁶ In the plaine of Iorden did the King cast them in clay betweene Succoth and Zarthan.

⁴⁷ And Salomon left to weigh all the vessels because of the exceeding aboundance, neyther could the weight of the brasse be counted.

⁴⁸ So Salomon made all the vessels that perteyned vnto the house of the Lord, the golden altar, and the golden table, whereon the shewbread was,

⁴⁹ And the candlestickes, fiue at the right side, and fiue at the left, before the oracle of pure gold, and the flowres, and the lampes, and the snuffers of golde,

⁵⁰ And the bowles, and the hookes, and the basens, and the spoones, and the ashpannes of pure golde, and the hinges of golde for the doores of the house within, euen for the most holy place, and for the doores of the house, to wit, of the Temple.

⁵¹ So was finished all the worke that King Salomon made for the house of the Lord, and Salomon brought in the things which Dauid his father had dedicated: the siluer and the golde and the vessels, and layed them among the treasures of the house of the Lord.

³⁵ And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high; and on the top of the base the stays thereof and the borders thereof were of one piece therewith.

³⁶ And on the plates of the stays thereof, and on the borders thereof, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm-trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths round about.

³⁸ Then made he ten lavers of copper; forty baths could each one laver contain; every laver was four cubits: each one laver was upon each one base of the ten bases.

³⁹ And he put the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and the sea he set on the right side of the house eastward opposite the south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins; so Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he made for king Solomon for the house of the Lord.

⁴¹ The two pillars, and the two bowl-shaped capitals that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two net-works, to cover the two bowl-shaped capitals which were upon the top of the pillars;

⁴² And the four hundred pomegranates for the two net-works, two rows of pomegranates for each one net-work, to cover the two bowl-shaped, capitals that were upon the front of the pillars;

⁴³ And the ten bases, and the ten lavers upon the bases;

⁴⁴ And the one sea, and the twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵ And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins; and all these vessels, which Hiram had made for king Solomon for the house of the Lord, were of polished copper.

⁴⁶ In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay-ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon set down all the vessels unweighed, because they were exceedingly many: the weight of the copper was not inquired into.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained unto the house of the Lord: The altar of gold, and the table whereupon the show-bread was, of gold,

⁴⁹ And the candlesticks, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the debir, of pure gold, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,

⁵⁰ And the bowls, and the knives, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges, for the doors of the inner house, for the holy of holies, for the doors of the house, and for the temple, were of gold.

⁵¹ And so was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the Lord: and Solomon brought in the things sanctified by David his father, the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and he placed these in the treasuries of the house of the Lord.

³⁵ And he put the five candlesticks on the left, and five on the right in front of the oracle, being of pure gold, and the lampstands, and the lamps, and the snuffers of gold.

³⁶ And there were made the porches, and the nails, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the golden censers, of pure gold: and the panels of the doors of the innermost part of the house, even the holy of holies, and the golden doors of the temple.

³⁷ So the work of the house of the Lord which Solomon wrought was finished; and Solomon brought in the holy things of David his father, and all the holy things of Solomon; he put the silver, and the gold, and the furniture, into the treasures of the house of the Lord.

³⁸ And Solomon built a house for himself in thirteen years.

³⁹ And he built the house with the wood of Lebanon; its length was a hundred cubits, and its breadth was fifty cubits, and its height was of thirty cubits, and it was made with three rows of cedar pillars, and the pillars had side pieces of cedar.

⁴⁰ And he formed the house with chambers above on the sides of the pillars, and the number of the pillars was each row forty and five,

⁴¹ and there were three chambers, and space against space in three rows.

⁴² And all the doors and spaces formed like chambers were square, and from door to door was a correspondence in three rows.

⁴³ And he made the porch of the pillars, they were fifty cubits long and fifty broad, the porch joining them in front; and the other pillars and the thick beam were in front of the house by the porches.

⁴⁴ And there was the Porch of seats where he would judge, the porch of judgment.

⁴⁵ And their house where he would dwell, had one court communicating with these according to this work; and he built the house for the daughter of Pharaoh whom Solomon had taken, according to this porch.

⁴⁶ All these were of costly stones, sculptured at intervals within even from the foundation even to the top, and outward to the great court,

⁴⁷ founded with large costly stones, stones of ten cubits and eight cubits long.

⁴⁸ And above with costly stones, according to the measure of hewn stones, and with cedars.

⁴⁹ There were three rows of hewn stones round about the great hall, and a row of sculptured cedar:

⁵⁰ and Solomon finished all his house.

³⁵ In the top of the stands there was a round band half a cubit deep, and on the top of the stand its supports and panels were attached.

³⁶ On the surfaces of the supports and on the panels Huram engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees that covered the space available, and they were surrounded by wreaths.

³⁷ He made the ten stands in this manner. All of them were cast in the same molds, and they had one size, and the same shape.

³⁸ Huram made ten basins of bronze. One basin could hold forty baths of water. Each basin was four cubits across and there was one basin on each of ten stands.

³⁹ He made five stands on the south-facing side of the temple and five on the north-facing side of the temple. He set “The Sea” on the east corner, facing toward the south of the temple.

⁴⁰ Huram made the basins and the shovels and the sprinkling bowls. Then he finished all the work that he did for King Solomon in the temple of Yahweh:

⁴¹ the two pillars, and the bowl-like capitals that were on top of the two pillars, and the two sets of decorative latticework to cover the two bowl like capitals that were on top of the pillars.

⁴² He made the four hundred pomegranates for the two sets of decorative latticework (two rows of pomegranates for each set of latticework to cover the two bowl-like capitals that were on the pillars);

⁴³ the ten stands, and the ten basins on the stands.

⁴⁴ He made the large basin called “The Sea” with its twelve oxen under it;

⁴⁵ also the pots, shovels, basins, and all the other implements. Huram made them out of polished bronze, for King Solomon, for the temple of Yahweh.

⁴⁶ The king had cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ Solomon did not weigh all the utensils because there were too many to weigh, because the weight of the bronze could not be measured.

⁴⁸ Solomon had made all the furnishings that were in the temple of Yahweh out of gold: the golden altar and the table on which the bread of the presence was to be placed;

⁴⁹ the lampstands, five on the right side and five on the left, in front of the inner room, were of pure gold, and the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs were of gold.

⁵⁰ Solomon also had made the cups, lamp trimmers, basins, spoons, and incense burners, all of which were made of pure gold; he had sockets of gold made for the doors of the inner room (which was the most holy place), and for the doors of the main hall of the temple.

⁵¹ In this way, all the work that King Solomon directed for the house of Yahweh was finished. So Solomon brought in the things that were set apart by David, his father, and the silver, the gold, and the furnishings, and put them into the storerooms of the house of Yahweh.

⁴³ the ten bases; the ten basins on the bases;

⁴⁴ the one sea; the twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵ the pots; the shovels; and the basins. All of these vessels, which Hiram made for king Solomon in the LORD’s house, were of burnished bronze.

⁴⁶ The king cast them in the plain of the Jordan, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarethan.

⁴⁷ Solomon left all the vessels unweighed, because there were so many of them. The weight of the bronze could not be determined.

⁴⁸ Solomon made all the vessels that were in the LORD’s house: the golden altar and the table that the show bread was on, of gold;

⁴⁹ and the lamp stands, five on the right side and five on the left, in front of the inner sanctuary, of pure gold; and the flowers, the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;

⁵⁰ the cups, the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.

⁵¹ Thus all the work that king Solomon did in the LORD’s house was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated—the silver, the gold, and the vessels—and put them in the treasuries of the LORD’s house.

³⁵ And in the top of the base was there a round compass of half a cubit high: and on the top of the base its ledges and its borders were of the same.

³⁶ For on the plates of its ledges, and on its borders, he graved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the proportion of every one, and additions around.

³⁷ After this manner he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one size.

³⁸ Then he made ten lavers of brass: one laver contained forty baths: and every laver was four cubits: and upon every one of the ten bases one laver.

³⁹ And he put five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward over against the south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram made the lavers, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he executed for king Solomon for the house of the LORD:

⁴¹ The two pillars, and the two bowls of the capitals that were on the top of the two pillars; and the two net-works, to cover the two bowls of the capitals which were upon the top of the pillars;

⁴² And four hundred pomegranates for the two net-works, even two rows of pomegranates for one net-work, to cover the two bowls of the capitals that were upon the pillars;

⁴³ And the ten bases, and ten lavers on the bases;

⁴⁴ And one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵ And the pots, and the shovels, and the basins: and all these vessels which Hiram made to king Solomon for the house of the LORD, were of bright brass.

⁴⁶ In the plain of Jordan did the king cast them, in the clay ground between Succoth and Zarthan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon left all the vessels unweighed , because they were very numerous: neither was the weight of the brass ascertained.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels that pertained to the house of the LORD: the altar of gold, and the table of gold, upon which was the show-bread,

⁴⁹ And the candlesticks of pure gold, five on the right side , and five on the left, before the oracle, with the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold,

⁵⁰ And the bowls, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the censers of pure gold; and the hinges of gold, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place , and for the doors of the house, to wit , of the temple.

⁵¹ So was ended all the work that king Solomon made for the house of the LORD. And Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated; even the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, he placed among the treasures of the house of the LORD.

³⁵ And in the highness of the founda-ment was a roundness, of one cubit and an half, so made craftily, that the washing vessel might be set above, having his portrayings, and diverse engravings of itself.

³⁶ Also he engraved in those walls, that were of brass, and in the corners, cherubims or cherubim, and lions, and palms, as by the likeness of a man standing, that those or they seemed not engraved, but put to by compass.

³⁷ By this manner he made ten foundaments, by one melting out, and one measure, and like engraving.

³⁸ Also he made ten washing vessels of brass; one washing vessel took, or held, forty baths, and it was of four cubits; and he put each washing vessel by itself by each foundament by itself, that is, ten.

³⁹ And he made ten foundaments, five at the right half of the temple, and five at the left half; and he set the sea at the right half of the temple, against the east, at the south.

⁴⁰ Also Hiram made cauldrons, and pans, and wine vessels; and he made perfectly all the work of king Solomon in the temple of the Lord.

⁴¹ He made two pillars, and two cords of the pommels, that is, circles compassing the pommels, at the manner of cords, upon the pommels of the pillars, and two works like nets, that those or they should cover the two cords, that were upon the heads of the pillars.

⁴² And he made pomegranates four hundred in two works like nets; and two orders of pomegranates in each work like a net, to cover the cords of the pommels, that were on the heads of the pillars.

⁴³ And he made the ten founda-ments, and the ten washing vessels on the foundaments;

⁴⁴ and one sea, and twelve oxen under the sea;

⁴⁵ and cauldrons, and pans, and wine vessels. All the vessels, which Hiram made to king Solomon in the house of the Lord, were of latten.

⁴⁶ And the king melted out those vessels in the field country of Jordan, in the clay land, betwixt Succoth and Zarthan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon setted or put all the vessels in their places; but for the great multitude, no weight was of the brass.

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels in the house of the Lord; soothly he made the golden altar, that is, the altar of incense, that was within the temple, and the golden board, upon which the loaves of setting forth were set;

⁴⁹ and he made of most pure gold golden candlesticks, five at the right half, and five at the left half, against God’s answering place; and he made as the flowers of a lily, and golden lanterns above, and golden tongs;

⁵⁰ and pots, and hooks, and vials, and mortars, and censers of purest gold; and the hinges of the doors of the inner house of the holy of holy things, and of the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.

⁵¹ And Solomon performed all the work, that he made in the house of the Lord; and he brought in the things, which David, his father, had hallowed; silver, and gold, and vessels; and he kept those in the treasures of the house of the Lord.

³⁶ Also he graved in those walls, that were of brass, and in the corners, cherubims, and lions, and palms, as by the likeness of a man standing, that those seemed not graven, but put to by compass. (And he engraved on their bronze walls, and on their corners, cherubim, and lions, and palms, like the likeness of a man standing there, wherever there was an empty space, with spiral work all around it.)

³⁷ By this manner he made ten foundaments, by one melting out, and one measure, and like engraving.

³⁸ Also he made ten washing vessels of brass; one washing vessel took, (or held), forty baths, and it was of four cubits; and he put each washing vessel by itself by each foundament by itself, that is, ten, (or and he put one washing vessel by itself on one foundation by itself, that is, ten altogether).

³⁹ And he made ten foundaments, five at the right half of the temple, and five at the left half; and he set the sea at the right half of the temple, against the east, at the south. (And he put ten foundations, five on the right side of the Temple, and five on the left side; and he put the Sea on the right side of the Temple, at the southeast corner.)

⁴⁰ Also Hiram made cauldrons, and pans, and wine vessels; and he made perfectly all the work of king Solomon in the temple of the Lord. (And Hiram made cauldrons, and pans, and basins; and so he finished all the work for King Solomon for the Temple of the Lord.)

⁴⁶ And the king melted out those vessels in the field country of Jordan (or And the king had those vessels cast in the field country of Jordan), in the clay land, betwixt Succoth and Zarthan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon setted all the vessels (in their places); but for the great multitude, no weight was of the brass. (And Solomon put all the vessels in their places; and because of their great multitude, the weight of the bronze could not be reckoned.)

⁴⁸ And Solomon made all the vessels in the house of the Lord; soothly he made the golden altar, that is, the altar of incense, that was within the temple, and the golden board, upon which the loaves of setting forth were set; (And Solomon made all the vessels for the House of the Lord; yea, he made the gold altar, that is, the altar of incense, that was within the Temple, and the gold table, on which the loaves of setting forth, or the loaves of proposition, were placed;)

⁴⁹ and he made of most pure gold (the) golden candlesticks, five at the right half, and five at the left half, against God’s answering place; and he made as the flowers of a lily, and (the) golden lanterns above, and (the) golden tongs; (and he made the candlesticks out of pure gold, five on the right side, and five on the left side, that stood in front of the Inner Temple, that is, the Most Holy Place, or the Holy of Holies; and he made the lily flowers, and the lanterns, and the tongs out of pure gold;)

⁵⁰ and pots, and hooks, and vials, and mortars, and censers of purest gold; and the hinges of the doors of the inner house of the holy of holy things, and of the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold. (and the pots, and hooks, and basins, and spoons, and censers out of pure gold; and the hinges for the doors of the Inner Temple, that is, the Most Holy Place, or the Holy of Holies, and for the doors of the Temple itself, were also made out of gold.)

⁵¹ And Solomon performed all the work, that he made in the house of the Lord; and he brought in the things, which David, his father, had hallowed; silver, and gold, and vessels; and he kept those in the treasures of the house of the Lord. (And so Solomon finished all the work that he had ordained for the House of the Lord; and he brought in the things, which his father David had dedicated; the silver, and the gold, and the vessels; and he kept them all in the treasuries of the House of the Lord.)

³⁵ And in the top of the base is the half of a cubit in the height all round about; and on the top of the base its spokes and its borders are of the same.

³⁶ And he openeth on the tablets of its spokes, and on its borders, cherubs, lions, and palm-trees, according to the void space of each, and additions round about.

³⁷ Thus he hath made the ten bases; one casting, one measure, one form, have they all.

³⁸ And he maketh ten lavers of brass; forty baths doth the one laver contain, four by the cubit is the one laver, one laver on the one base is to the ten bases;

³⁹ and he putteth the five bases on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house, and the sea he hath put on the right side of the house, eastward — over-against the south.

⁴⁰ And Hiram maketh the lavers, and the shovels, and the bowls; and Hiram completeth to do all the work that he made for king Solomon, for the house of Jehovah;

⁴¹ pillars two, and bowls of the chapiters that are on the top of the pillars two, and the nets two, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that are on the top of the pillars;

⁴² and the pomegranates four hundred for the two nets, two rows of pomegranates for the one net, to cover the two bowls of the chapiters that are on the front of the pillars;

⁴³ and the ten bases, and the ten lavers on the bases;

⁴⁴ and the one sea, the twelve oxen under the sea,

⁴⁵ and the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls; and all these vessels, that Hiram hath made to king Solomon for the house of Jehovah, are of brass — polished.

⁴⁶ In the circuit of the Jordan hath the king cast them, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zarthan.

⁴⁷ And Solomon placeth the whole of the vessels; because of the very great abundance, the weight of the brass hath not been searched out.

⁴⁸ And Solomon maketh all the vessels that are in the house of Jehovah: the altar of gold, and the table — on which is the bread of the Presence — of gold,

⁴⁹ and the candlesticks, five on the right, and five on the left, before the oracle, of refined gold, and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold,

⁵⁰ and the basins, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of refined gold, and the hinges for the doors of the inner-house, for the holy of holies, for the doors of the house of the temple, of gold.

⁵¹ And it is complete — all the work that king Solomon hath made for the house of Jehovah, and Solomon bringeth in the sanctified things of David his father; the silver, and the gold, and the vessels he hath put in the treasuries of the house of Jehovah.
