¹⁵ And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the house unto the walls of the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the house with boards of fir.

¹⁶ And he built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the house with boards of cedar from the floor unto the walls of the ceiling: he built them for it within, for an oracle, even for the most holy place.

¹⁷ And the house, that is, the temple before the oracle, was forty cubits long.

¹⁸ And there was cedar on the house within, carved with knops and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

¹⁹ And he prepared an oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

²⁰ And within the oracle was a space of twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar.

²¹ So Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold.

²² And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold.

³⁶ And he built the inner court with three courses of hewn stone, and a course of cedar beams.

¹⁷ And the temple was forty cubits in extent,

¹⁹ in front of the oracle in the midst of the house within, in order to put there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

²⁰ The length was twenty cubits, and the breadth was twenty cubits, and the height of it was twenty cubits. And he covered it with perfect gold, and he made an altar

²¹ in front of the oracle, and covered it with gold.

²² And he covered the whole house with gold, till he had finished gilding the whole house.

²³ And he made in the oracle two cherubs of ten cubits measured size.

²⁴ And the wing of one cherub was five cubits, and his other wing was five cubits; ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other wing.

¹⁵ On the inside, they lined/covered the walls with cedar boards. They lined/covered them from the floor to the ceiling. They made the floor from cypress boards.

¹⁶ Inside the back part of the temple they built an inner room, called the Very Holy Place. It was 30 feet long. All the walls of this room were lined with cedar boards.

¹⁷ In front of the Very Holy Place there was a room that was 60 feet long.

¹⁸ The cedar boards on the walls inside the temple were decorated with carvings of gourds and flowers. The walls were completely covered with cedar boards, with the result that the stones of the walls behind them could not be seen.

¹⁹ At the back of the temple they made the Very Holy Place, where the Sacred Chest would be put.

²⁰ That room was 30 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 30 feet high. They covered the walls with very thin sheets of pure gold. For burning incense they also made an altar of cedar boards.

²¹ Solomon told them to cover the other walls inside the temple with very thin sheets of pure gold and to fasten gold chains across the entrance to the Very Holy Place.

²² They covered all the walls of the temple and the altar that was outside the Very Holy Place with very thin sheets of gold.

²³ Inside the Very Holy Place, they made from olive tree wood large statues of two creatures with wings. Each one was 15 feet tall.

²⁴ They each were the same size and had the same shape. They each had two wings which were spread out. Each wing was 7-1/2 feet long, with the result that the distance between the outer ends of the two wings was 15 feet.

²⁷ They put those statues next to each other in the Very Holy Place so that the wing of the one touched the one wing of the other in the center of the room, and the outer wings touched the walls.

²⁸ They covered the statues with very thin sheets of gold.

²⁹ Solomon told them to decorate the walls of the main room and the Very Holy Place by carving representations of winged creatures and palm trees and flowers.

³⁰ They also covered the floor of both rooms with very thin sheets of gold.

³¹ They made a set of doors from olive tree wood, and placed them at the entrance to the Very Holy Place. The doorposts joined at the top to form a pointed arch.

³² The doors were decorated by carving on them representations of winged creatures, palm trees, and flowers. All of these things were covered with very thin sheets of gold.

³³ They made a rectangular door frame from olive tree wood, and put it between the entrance room and the main room.

³⁴ They made two folding doors from cypress wood and fastened them to the door frame.

³⁵ The doors were also decorated with wood carvings of winged creatures, palm trees, and flowers, and they were also covered evenly with very thin sheets of gold.

³⁶ They built a courtyard in front of the temple. The walls around the courtyard were made of cedar and stone; to make the walls, between each layer of cedar beams they put down two layers of stone.

²⁴ Five cubits was the length of one wing of the cherub, and five cubits was the length of the other wing of the cherub. From the tip of one wing to the tip of the other was ten cubits.

²⁵ The other cherub was ten cubits. Both the cherubim were of one measure and one form.

²⁶ One cherub was ten cubits high, and so was the other cherub.

²⁷ He set the cherubim within the inner house. The wings of the cherubim were stretched out, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings touched one another in the middle of the house.

²⁸ He overlaid the cherubim with gold.

²⁹ He carved all the walls of the house around with carved figures of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, inside and outside.

³⁰ He overlaid the floor of the house with gold, inside and outside.

³¹ For the entrance of the inner sanctuary, he made doors of olive wood. The lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall.

³² So he made two doors of olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold. He spread the gold on the cherubim and on the palm trees.

³³ He also made the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of the wall,

³⁴ and two doors of cypress wood. The two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.

³⁵ He carved cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work.

³⁶ He built the inner court with three courses of cut stone and a course of cedar beams.

¹⁵ The walls of the house were covered inside with cedar-wood boards; from the floor to the roof of the house they were covered inside with wood; and the floor was covered with boards of cypress-wood.

¹⁶ And at the back of the house a further space of twenty cubits was shut in with boards of cedar-wood, for the inmost room.

¹⁷ And the house, that is, the Temple, in front of the holy place was forty cubits long.

¹⁸ (All the inside of the house was cedar-wood, ornamented with designs of buds and flowers; no stonework was to be seen inside.)

¹⁹ And he made ready an inmost room in the middle of the house, in which to put the ark of the agreement of the Lord.

²⁰ And the inmost room was twenty cubits square and twenty cubits high, plated over with clear gold, and he made an altar of cedar-wood, plating it with gold.

²¹ Solomon had all the inside of the house covered with gold, and he put chains of gold across in front of the inmost room, which itself was covered with gold.

²² Plates of gold were put all through the house till it was covered completely (and the altar in the inmost room was all covered with gold).

²³ In the inmost room he made two winged beings of olive-wood, ten cubits high;

²⁴ With outstretched wings five cubits wide; the distance from the edge of one wing to the edge of the other was ten cubits.

²⁵ The two winged ones were ten cubits high, of the same size and form.

²⁶ The two of them were ten cubits high.

²⁷ These were placed inside the inner house, their outstretched wings touching the walls of the house, one touching one wall and one the other, while their other wings were touching in the middle.

²⁸ These winged ones were plated over with gold.

²⁹ And all the walls of the house inside and out were ornamented with forms of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers.

³⁰ And the floor of the house was covered with gold, inside and out.

³¹ For the way into the inmost room he made doors of olive-wood, the arch and the door supports forming a five-sided opening.

³² On the olive-wood doors were cut designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers, all of them, with the doors, plated with gold.

³³ Then he made pillars of olive-wood for the way into the Temple; the pillars were square:

³⁴ And two folding doors of cypress-wood, with two leaves.

³⁵ These were ornamented with designs of winged ones and palm-trees and open flowers, plated over with gold.

³⁶ And the inner space was walled with three lines of squared stones and a line of cedar-wood boards.

¹⁵ And he built the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house to the walls of the roof; he overlaid them on the inside with wood, and overlaid the floor of the house with boards of cypress.

¹⁶ And he built twenty cubits of the innermost part of the house, both floor and walls, with boards of cedar; and he built them for it within, to be the oracle, the most holy place.

¹⁷ And the house, that is, the temple before it, was forty cubits long.

¹⁸ And the cedar of the house within was carved with colocynths and half-open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen.

¹⁹ And he prepared the oracle in the midst of the house within, to set there the ark of the covenant of Jehovah.

²⁰ And the oracle within was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in the height thereof; and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he overlaid the cedar-wood altar —

²¹ and Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold, and shut off the oracle in front with chains of gold, and overlaid it with gold.

²² And the whole house he overlaid with gold, the whole house entirely; also the whole altar that was by the oracle he overlaid with gold.

²³ And he made in the oracle two cherubim of olive-wood, ten cubits high;

³³ And he also made for the doorway of the temple posts of olive-wood, of the fourth part of the breadth of the house.

³⁴ And the two folding-doors were of cypress-wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.

³⁵ And he carved on them cherubim, and palm-trees, and half-open flowers; and overlaid them with gold fitted on the carved work.

³⁶ And he built the inner court of three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar-beams.

¹⁵ And he built the walls of the house on the inside, with boards of cedar, from the floor of the house to the top of the walls, and to the roots, he covered it with boards of cedar on the inside: and he covered the floor of the house with planks of fir.

¹⁶ And he built up twenty cubits with boards of cedar at the hinder part of the temple, from the floor to the top: and made the inner house of the oracle to be the holy of holies.

¹⁷ And the temple itself before the doors of the oracle was forty cubits long.

¹⁸ And all the house was covered within with cedar, having the turnings, and the joints thereof artfully wrought and carvings projecting out: all was covered with boards of cedar: and no stone could be seen in the wall at all.

¹⁹ And he made the oracle in the midst of the house, in the inner part, to set there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

²⁰ Now the oracle was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in height. And he covered and overlaid it with most pure gold. And the altar also he covered with cedar.

²¹ And the house before the oracle he overlaid with most pure gold, and fastened on the plates with nails of gold.

²² And there was nothing in the temple that was not covered with gold: the whole altar of the oracle he covered also with gold.

²³ And he made in the oracle two cherubims of olive tree, of ten cubits in height.

²⁴ One wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub was five cubits: that is, in all ten cubits, from the extremity of one wing to the extremity of the other wing.

²⁵ The second cherub also was ten cubits: and the measure, and the work was the same in both the cherubims:

²⁶ That is to say, one cherub was ten cubits high, and in like manner the other cherub.

²⁷ And he set the cherubims in the midst of the inner temple: and the cherubims stretched forth their wings, and the wing of the one touched one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall: and the other wings in the midst of the temple touched one another.

²⁸ And he overlaid the cherubims with gold.

²⁹ And all the walls of the temple round about he carved with divers figures and carvings: and he made in them cherubims and palm trees, and divers representations, as it were standing out, and coming forth from the wall.

³⁰ And the floor of the house he also overlaid with gold within and without.

³¹ And in the entrance of the oracle he made little doors of olive tree, and posts of five corners,

³² And two doors of olive tree: and he carved upon them figures of cherubims, and figures of palm trees, and carvings very much projecting: and he overlaid them with gold: and he covered both the cherubims and the palm trees, and the other things with gold.

³³ And he made in the entrance of the temple posts of olive tree foursquare:

³⁴ And two doors of fir tree, one of each side: and each door was double, and so opened with folding leaves.

³⁵ And he carved cherubims, and palm trees, and carved work standing very much out: and he overlaid all with golden plates in square work by rule.

³⁶ And he built the inner court with three rows of polished stones, and one row of beams of cedar.

¹⁵ He lined the walls with cedar panels from floor to ceiling and he covered the floor of the Temple with cypress boards.

¹⁶ He sectioned off twenty cubits at the rear of the Temple with boards of cedar from floor to ceiling, making an inner sanctuary as the Most Holy Place.

¹⁷ The main Temple in front of this room measured forty cubits long.

¹⁸ The cedar panels inside the Temple were decorated with carvings of gourds and open flowers. Everything was lined with cedar—none of the stone was visible.

¹⁹ He also had the inner sanctuary made within the Temple where the Ark of the Lord's Agreement would be placed.

²⁰ The inner sanctuary measured twenty cubits long, twenty cubits wide, and twenty cubits high. He had the interior covered with a coating with pure gold, as well as the altar of cedar.

²¹ Solomon had the whole of the inside of the Temple covered with pure gold, He had gold chains stretched across the front of the inner sanctuary, which was also covered with gold.

²² He covered the whole inside of the Temple with a coating of gold until it was all finished. He also covered with gold the entire altar for the inner sanctuary.

²³ He had two cherubim made out of olive wood for the inner sanctuary, each one ten cubits tall.

²⁴ Both wings of the cherub measured five cubits, making a total wingspan of ten cubits.

²⁵ The other cherub was also ten cubits tall, since they were identical both in size and shape.

²⁶ Both cherubs were ten cubits tall.

²⁷ He had the cherubim placed inside the inner sanctuary of the Temple. Since their wings were fully spread, a wing of the first cherub touched one wall, a wing of the second cherub touched the other wall, and in the middle of the Temple their wings touched.

²⁸ The cherubim were also covered with a gold coating.

²⁹ He had all the Temple walls, both the inner and outer sanctuaries, carved with designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers.

³⁰ He also had the floor of the Temple floor covered with gold, both the inner and outer sanctuaries.

³¹ He had doors of olive wood made for the entrance to the inner sanctuary, together with a lintel and doorposts that had five sides.

³² These olive wood double doors had carved into them designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers. The cherubim and palm trees carvings were covered with beaten gold.

³³ Similarly he had four-sided doorposts of olive wood made for the entrance to the sanctuary.

³⁴ Its doors were made of cypress wood, each with two hinged panels.

³⁵ He had them carved with designs of cherubim, palm trees, and open flowers, and covered them with gold beaten evenly over the carvings.

³⁶ Solomon had the inner courtyard built with three courses of dressed stone and one of cedar beams.

¹⁵ And built the walles of the house within, with boards of cedar tree from the pauement of the house vnto the walles of the sieling, and within he couered them with wood, and couered the floore of the house with planks of firre.

¹⁶ And he built twentie cubites in the sides of the house with boards of cedar, from the floore to the walles, and he prepared a place within it for the oracle, euen the most holy place.

¹⁷ But the house, that is, the Temple before it, was fourtie cubites long.

¹⁸ And the cedar of the house within was carued with knops, and grauen with floures: all was cedar, so that no stone was seene.

¹⁹ Also he prepared the place of the oracle in the mids of the house within, to set the Arke of the couenant of the Lord there.

²⁰ And the place of the oracle within was twentie cubites long, and twentie cubites broad, and twentie cubites hie, and hee couered it with pure golde, and couered the altar with cedar.

²¹ So Salomon couered the house within with pure golde: and he shut the place of the oracle with chaines of gold, and couered it with golde.

²² And he ouerlayde all the house with gold, vntill all the house was made perfite. also he couered the whole altar, that was before the oracle, with golde.

²³ And within the oracle he made two Cherubims of oliue tree, ten cubites hie.

²⁴ The wing also of the one Cherub was fiue cubites, and the wing of the other Cherub was fiue cubites: from the vttermost part of one of his wings vnto the vttermost part of the other of his wings, were ten cubites.

³¹ And in the entring of the oracle he made two doores of oliue tree: and the vpper post and side postes were fiue square.

³² The two doores also were of oliue tree, and he graued them with grauing of Cherubims and palme trees, and grauen floures, and couered them with golde, and layed thin golde vpon the Cherubims and vpon the palme trees.

³³ And so made he for the doore of the Temple, postes of oliue tree foure square.

³⁴ But the two doores were of firre tree, the two sides of the one doore were round, and the two sides of the other doore were round.

³⁵ And he graued Cherubims, and palme trees, and carued floures and couered the carued worke with golde, finely wrought.

³⁶ And hee built the court within with three rowes of hewed stone, and one rowe of beames of cedar.

³⁴ and two doors of cypress-wood; the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding.

³⁵ And he carved thereon cherubim and palm-trees and open flowers; and he overlaid them with gold fitted upon the graven work.

³⁶ And he built the inner court with three rows of hewn stone, and a row of cedar beams.

¹⁹ And the debir in the house within did he prepare, to set therein the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

²⁰ And the interior of the debir was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits was its height: and he overlaid it with pure gold; and he overlaid the altar with cedar-wood.

²¹ And Solomon overlaid the house within with pure gold: and he barred by means of chains of gold the front of the debir; and he overlaid it with gold.

²² And the whole house he overlaid with gold, until all the house was finished: also the whole altar that was before the debir did he overlay with gold.

²³ And within the debir he made two cherubims of oleaster-wood, each ten cubits high.

²⁴ And five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: there were ten cubits from the uttermost part of the one wing unto the uttermost part of the other.

³² And also upon the two doors of oleaster-wood he carved figures of cherubim and palm-trees and opening flowers, and overlaid them with gold, and spread the gold, by beating, upon the cherubim, and upon the palm-trees.

³³ So also made he for the entrance of the temple door-posts of oleaster-wood in shape of a square;

³⁴ And two doors of fir-wood: the one door having two leaves which were folding, and the other door having two leaves which were folding.

³⁵ And he carved thereon cherubim, and palm-trees and opening flowers: and he overlaid them with gold fitting upon the carved work.

³⁶ And he built the inner court of three rows of hewn stone, and one row of cedar beams.

¹⁵ And he framed the walls of the house within with cedar boards, from the floor of the house and on to the inner walls and to the beams: he lined the parts enclosed with boards within, and compassed the inward parts of the house with planks of fir.

¹⁶ And he built the twenty cubits from the top of the wall, one side from the floor to the beams, and he made it from the oracle to the most holy place.

¹⁷ And the temple was forty cubits in extent,

¹⁹ in front of the oracle in the midst of the house within, in order to put there the ark of the covenant of the Lord.

²⁰ The length was twenty cubits, and the breadth was twenty cubits, and the height of it was twenty cubits. And he covered it with perfect gold, and he made an altar

²¹ in front of the oracle, and covered it with gold.

²² And he covered the whole house with gold, till he had finished gilding the whole house.

²³ And he made in the oracle two cherubs of ten cubits measured size.

²⁴ And the wing of one cherub was five cubits, and his other wing was five cubits; ten cubits from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other wing.

²⁵ Thus it was with the other cherub, both were alike finished with one measure.

²⁶ And the height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it with the second cherub.

²⁷ And both the cherubs were in the midst of the innermost part of the house; and they spread out their wings, and one wing touched the wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings in the midst of the house touched each other.

²⁸ And he covered the cherubs with gold.

²⁹ He graved all the walls of the house round about with the graving of cherubs, and he sculptured palm trees within and without the house.

³⁰ And he covered the floor of the house within and without with gold.

³¹ And for the doorway of the oracle he made doors of juniper wood, there were porches in a fourfold way.

³⁴ In both the doors were planks of fir; the one door had two leaves and their hinges, and the other door had two leaves and turned on hinges,

³⁵ being carved with cherubs, and there were palm trees and open flower leaves, and it was overlaid with gold gilded upon the engraving.

³⁶ And he built the inner court, three rows of hewn stones, and a row of wrought cedar round about,

^36a and he made the curtain of the court of the porch of the house that was in front of the temple.

¹⁵ Then he built the interior walls of the house with boards of cedar. From the floor of the house to the ceiling, he covered them on the inside with wood, and he covered the floor of the house with cypress boards.

¹⁶ He built twenty cubits onto the rear of the house with boards of cedar from the floor to the ceiling. He built this room to be the inner room, the most holy place.

¹⁷ The main hall, that is, the holy place that was in front of the most holy place, was forty cubits long.

¹⁸ There was cedar inside the house, carved in the shape of gourds and open flowers. All was cedar inside. No stonework was visible on the inside.

¹⁹ Solomon prepared the inner room inside the house in order to place the ark of the covenant of Yahweh there.

²⁰ The inner room was twenty cubits in length, twenty cubits in width, and twenty cubits in height. Solomon overlaid the walls with pure gold and covered the altar with cedar wood.

²¹ Solomon overlaid the inside of the temple with pure gold, and he placed chains of gold across the front of the inner room, and overlaid the front with gold.

²² He overlaid the entire interior with gold until all the temple was finished. He also overlaid with gold the whole altar that belonged to the inner room.

²³ Solomon made two cherubim of olivewood, each ten cubits high, for the inner room.

²⁴ One wing of the first cherub was five cubits long and its other wing was also five cubits long. So from the tip of one wing to the tip of the other there was a distance of ten cubits.

¹⁸ And all the house within was clothed with cedar, and had his smoothnesses, and his joinings made subtly, and engravings appearing above; all things were clothed with boards of cedar, and utterly a stone might not appear in the wall.

¹⁹ And Solomon made God’s answering place in the midst of the house, in the inner part, that he should set or put there the ark of bond of peace of the Lord.

²⁰ And God’s answering place had twenty cubits of length, and twenty cubits of breadth, and twenty cubits of height; and he covered, and clothed it with purest gold; but also he clothed the altar with cedar.

²¹ Also he covered with purest gold the house before God’s answering place, or the oracle, and he fastened the plates with golden nails.

²² Nothing was in the temple that was not covered with gold; but also he covered with gold all the altar of God’s answering place.

²³ And he made in God’s answering place two cherubims or cherubim of the trees of olives, of ten cubits of height;

²⁴ one wing of cherub was of five cubits, and the tother wing of cherub was of five cubits, that is, having ten cubits, from the highness of the one wing till to the highness of the tother wing.

²⁵ And the second cherub was of ten cubits in even measure; and one work was in the two cherubims,

²⁶ that is, one cherub had the height of ten cubits, and in like manner the tother cherub.

²⁹ and he engraved them with di-verse engravings and smoothness; and he made in those walls cherubims or cherubim, and palms, and diverse paintures, as standing forth and going out of the wall.

³⁰ But also he covered with gold the pavement of the house, within and withoutforth.

³¹ And in the entering of God’s answering place he made two little doors of the trees of olives; and he made doorposts of five corners,

³² and the two doors of the trees of olives; and he engraved in those or them the painture of cherubims or cherubim, and the likenesses of palms, and engravings above standing forth greatly; and he covered those or them with gold; and he covered as well the cherubims or cherubim, as the palms, and other things, with gold.

³³ And in the entering of the temple he made doorposts four-cornered of trees of olives;

³⁴ and he made the two doors of the trees of box, each against other; and ever either door was double, and it was opened holding itself together.

³⁵ And he engraved cherubims or cherubim, and palms, and engravings appearing greatly; and he covered all things with golden plates, by square work at rule.

³⁶ And he builded a large street, or an alley, within, by three orders of stones made fair, and by one order of wood of cedar.

¹⁵ and he builded the walls of the house within with boards of cedar, from the pavement of the house unto the highness of the wall, and unto the couples; and he covered them with wood of cedar within; and he covered the pavement of the house with boards of box. (and he built the walls of the House within out of cedar boards, from the floor of the House unto the top of the wall, and unto the couplings; and he covered them with cedar wood within; and he covered the floor of the House with fir, or pine, boards.)

¹⁹ And Solomon made God’s answering place in the midst of the house, in the inner part, that he should set there the ark of (the) bond of peace of the Lord (or where he would put the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord).

²⁰ And God’s answering place had twenty cubits of length, and twenty cubits of breadth, and twenty cubits of height, (or And the Inner Temple was twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in height); and he covered (it), and clothed it with purest gold; but also he clothed the altar with cedar.

²¹ Also he covered with purest gold the house before God’s answering place, or the oracle, and he fastened the plates with golden nails. (And he covered the inside of the Temple all around the Inner Temple, or the oracle, with the purest gold; and he fastened plates to the walls with gold nails.)

²³ And he made in God’s answering place two cherubims of the trees of olives, of ten cubits of height (or each ten cubits in height);

²² And the whole of the house he hath overlaid with gold, till the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle hath, he hath overlaid with gold.

²³ And he maketh within the oracle two cherubs, of the oil-tree, ten cubits is their height;

²⁴ and five cubits is the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the ends of its wings even unto the ends of its wings;

²⁵ and ten by the cubit is the second cherub, one measure and one form are to the two cherubs,

²⁶ the height of the one cherub is ten by the cubit, and so is the second cherub;

²⁷ and he setteth the cherubs in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubs, and a wing of the one cometh against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings are unto the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;

²⁸ and he overlayeth the cherubs with gold,

²⁹ and all the walls of the house round about he hath carved with openings of carvings, cherubs, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, within and without.

³⁰ And the floor of the house he hath overlaid with gold, within and without;

³¹ as to the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel, side-posts, a fifth.

³² And the two doors are of the oil-tree, and he hath carved upon them carvings of cherubs, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causeth the gold to go down on the cherubs and on the palm-trees.

³³ And so he hath made for the opening of the temple, side-posts of the oil-tree, from the fourth.

³⁴ And the two doors are of fir-tree, the two sides of the one door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving.

³⁵ And he hath carved cherubs, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with straightened gold the graved work.

³⁶ And he buildeth the inner court, three rows of hewn work, and a row of beams of cedar.
