²⁸ Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his stead.

²⁹ And it came to pass that, as soon as he was king, he smote all the house of Jeroboam: he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him; according unto the saying of Jehovah, which he spake by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite;

³⁰ for the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned, and wherewith he made Israel to sin, because of his provocation wherewith he provoked Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger.

³¹ Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

³² And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.

²⁸ And Baasa slew him in the third year of Asa son of Asa king of Juda; and reigned in his stead.

²⁹ And it came to pass when he reigned, that he smote the whole house of Jeroboam, and left none that breathed of Jeroboam, until he had destroyed him utterly, according to the word of the Lord which he spoke by his servant Achia the Selonite,

³⁰ for the sins of Jeroboam, who led Israel into sin, even by his provocation wherewith he provoked the Lord God of Israel.

³¹ And the rest of the history of Nabat, and all that he did, behold, are not these written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

²⁸ That DOU was when Asa had been the king ruling Judah for almost three years. Then Baasha became the king of Israel.

²⁹ As soon as Baasha became king, he commanded his soldiers to kill all of Jeroboam's family. Doing what Yahweh had told the prophet Ahijah from Shiloh would happen, they killed all of Jeroboam's family. None of them ◄was left/remained alive►.

³⁰ That happened because Yahweh had become very angry with Jeroboam because of all the sins that Jeroboam had committed, and because of the sins that he had persuaded the people of Israel to commit.

³² There were wars between the armies of King Asa and King Baasha all the time that they ruled.

²⁸ And Baasa killed him in the third year of Asa son of Asa king of Juda; and reigned in his stead.

²⁹ And straight away when he became king, he sent destruction on all the offspring of Jeroboam; there was not one living person of all the family of Jeroboam whom he did not put to death, so the word of the Lord, which he said by his servant Ahijah the Shilonite, came about;

³⁰ Because of the sins which Jeroboam did and made Israel do, moving the Lord, the God of Israel, to wrath.

³⁰ Because of the sin of Jeroboam, which he had sinned, and wherewith he had made Israel to sin, and for the offence, wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel.

²⁸ Baasha killed Nadab and took over as king in the third year of the reign of King Asa of Judah.

²⁹ As soon as he became king he killed all the rest of Jeroboam's family. He did not leave any of Jeroboam's descendants alive—he destroyed them all, as the Lord had said through his servant Ahijah the Shilonite.

³⁰ This happened because of the sins Jeroboam had committed and had made Israel commit, and because he had made the Lord, the God of Israel, angry.

³¹ The rest of what happened in Nadab's reign and everything that he did are recorded in the Book of Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

³² Asa and Baasha, king of Israel, were always at war with each other.

²⁸ Euen in the third yeere of Asa King of Iudah did Baasha slay him, and reigned in his steade.

²⁹ And when he was King, he smote all the house of Ieroboam, he left none aliue to Ieroboam, vntill hee had destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord which he spake by his seruant Ahijah the Shilonite,

³⁰ Because of the sinnes of Ieroboam which he committed, and wherewith he made Israel to sinne, by his prouocation, wherewith he prouoked the Lord God of Israel.

³¹ And the residue of the actes of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

³² And there was warre betweene Asa and Baasha King of Israel, all their dayes.

²⁸ Even in the third year of Asa king of Judah did Baasa slay him, and reigned in his stead.

²⁹ And it came to pass that, as soon as he was king, he smote all the house of Jeroboam; he left not to Jeroboam any that breathed, until he had destroyed him; according unto the saying of the LORD, which He spoke by the hand of His servant Ahijah the Shilonite;

³⁰ Because of the sins of Jerobo'am which he had sinned, and through which he had induced Israel to sin, by his provoking wherewith he provoked the Lord the God of Israel to anger.

³² And there was war between Assa and Ba'sha the king of Israel all their days.

³¹ As for the other matters concerning Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the events of the kings of Israel?
