¹⁰ And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of Jehovah, as did David his father.

¹² And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

¹³ And also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

¹⁴ But the high places were not taken away: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with Jehovah all his days.

¹⁵ And he brought into the house of Jehovah the things that his father had dedicated, and the things that himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.

¹⁰ And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Ana, daughter of Abessalom.

¹¹ And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as David his father.

¹² And he removed the sodomites out of the land, and abolished all the practices which his fathers had kept up.

¹³ And he removed Ana his mother from being queen, forasmuch as she gathered a meeting in her grove: and Asa cut down her retreats, and burnt them with fire in the brook of Kedron.

¹⁴ But he removed not the high places; nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days.

¹⁵ And he brought in the pillars of his father, he even brought in his gold and silver pillars into the house of the Lord, and his vessels.

¹⁰ He ruled in Jerusalem for 41 years. His grandmother was Maacah, the granddaughter of Absalom.

¹¹ Asa did what was pleasing to Yahweh, as his ancestor David had done.

¹² He got rid of the male prostitutes that were at the places where the people worshiped idols, and he also got rid of all the idols that his ancestors had made.

¹³ He also removed his grandmother Maacah so that she no longer had influence in the government because of being the mother of a previous king. He did that because she had made a disgusting wooden statue of the goddess Asherah. Asa told his workers to cut down the statue and burned it in the Kidron Valley.

¹⁴ He was not able to destroy all the places where the people worshiped idols on the high hills, but he continued to be dedicated/committed to Yahweh his entIre life.

¹⁵ He told his workers to place in the temple all the items that his father had dedicated to God, and all the gold and silver things that he had dedicated to God.

¹⁰ And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Ana, daughter of Abessalom.

¹¹ Asa did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, as David his father did.

¹² Those used for sex purposes in the worship of the gods he sent out of the country, and he took away all the images which his fathers had made.

¹³ And he would not let Maacah his mother be queen, because she had made a disgusting image for Asherah; and Asa had the image cut down and burned by the stream Kidron.

¹⁴ The high places, however, were not taken away: but still the heart of Asa was true to the Lord all his life.

¹⁵ He took into the house of the Lord all the things which his father had made holy, and those which he himself had made holy, silver and gold and vessels.

¹⁰ and he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maachah, daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa did what was right in the sight of Jehovah, as David his father.

¹² And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his father had made.

¹³ And also Maachah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an idol for the Asherah; and Asa cut down her idol, and burned it in the valley of Kidron.

¹⁴ But the high places were not removed; only, Asa's heart was perfect with Jehovah all his days.

¹⁵ And he brought into the house of Jehovah the things which his father had dedicated, and the things which he himself had dedicated, silver and gold and vessels.

¹⁰ And he reigned one and forty years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacha, the daughter of Abessalom.

¹¹ And Asa did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, as did David his father:

¹² And he took away the effeminate out of the land, and he removed all the filth of the idols, which his fathers had made.

¹³ Moreover he also removed his mother Maacha, from being the princess in the sacrifices of Priapus, and in the grove which she had consecrated to him: and he destroyed her den, and broke in pieces the filthy idol, and burnt it by the torrent Cedron:

¹⁴ But the high places he did not take away. Nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with the Lord all his days:

¹⁵ And he brought in the things which his father had dedicated, and he had vowed, into the house of the Lord, silver and gold, and vessels.

¹⁰ He reigned in Jerusalem forty-one years. His grandmother's name was Maakah, daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ Asa did what was right in the Lord's sight, as his forefather David had done.

¹² He expelled the cult prostitutes from the land and got rid of all of the idols that his forefathers had made.

¹³ He even dismissed his grandmother Maacah as queen mother, because she had made a disgusting idol. Asa had the idol chopped down and burned in the Kidron Valley.

¹⁴ Though the high places were not removed, Asa was completely committed to the Lord all his life.

¹⁵ He brought into the house of the Lord the silver and gold and the other items that he and his father had dedicated.

¹⁰ He reigned in Ierusalem one and fourtie yeere, and his mothers name was Maachah the daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa did right in the eyes of the Lord, as did Dauid his father.

¹² And he tooke away the Sodomites out of the lande, and put away all the idoles that his fathers had made.

¹³ And he put downe Maachah his mother also from her estate, because shee had made an idole in a groue: and Asa destroyed her idoles, and burnt them by the brooke Kidron.

¹⁴ But they put not downe the hie places. Neuertheles Asas heart was vpright with the Lord all his dayes.

¹⁵ Also he brought in the holy vessels of his father, and the things that he had dedicated vnto ye house of the Lord, siluer, and golde, and vessels.

¹⁰ And forty and one years reigned he in Jerusalem; and his mother's name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, as did David his father.

¹² And he put away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.

¹³ And also Maacah his mother he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.

¹⁵ And he brought the things which his father had sanctified, and his own sanctified things, into the house of the Lord, silver, and gold, and vessels.

¹⁰ And he reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Ana, daughter of Absalom.

¹⁰ He reigned forty-one years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Maacah the daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ Asa did that which was right in Yahweh’s eyes, as David his father did.

¹¹ And Asa did rightfulness or right in the sight of the Lord, as David, his father, did;

¹² and he took away from the land men of women’s conditions or the womanish-made men, and he purged all the filths of idols, which his fathers made.

¹³ Furthermore and he removed Maachah, his grandmother, that she should not be princess in the solemn things of the idol Priapus, and in his maumet woods that she had hallow-ed; and he destroyed the den of him, and he brake the foulest simulacrum, and burnt it in the strand or stream of Kidron;

¹⁴ soothly he did not away the high things; nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with his Lord God, in all his days.

¹⁵ And he brought into the house of the Lord those things, which his father had hallowed, and avowed or vowed, silver, and gold, and vessels.

¹⁰ and Asa reigned one and forty years in Jerusalem. The name of his (grand)mother was Maachah, the daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa did rightfulness in the sight of the Lord, as David, his father, did;

¹⁴ soothly he did not (do) away the high things (or but he did not do away the hill shrines); nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect with his Lord God, in all his days.

¹⁵ And he brought into the house of the Lord those things, which his father had hallowed, and avowed, (the) silver, and gold, and vessels.

¹⁰ and forty and one years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother is Maachah daughter of Abishalom.

¹¹ And Asa doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, like David his father,

¹² and removeth the whoremongers out of the land, and turneth aside all the idols that his fathers made;

¹³ and also Maachah his mother — he turneth her aside from being mistress, in that she made a horrible thing for a shrine, and Asa cutteth down her horrible thing, and burneth it by the brook Kidron;

¹⁴ and the high places have not turned aside; only, the heart of Asa hath been perfect with Jehovah all his days,

¹⁵ and he bringeth in the sanctified things of his father, and his own sanctified things, to the house of Jehovah, silver, and gold, and vessels.
