And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all the things Jesus did for him; and all were marveling.
Now when Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd was gathered to Him; and He was beside the sea.
And behold, there came one of the rulers of the synagogue, named Jairus. And seeing Him, he fell at His feet,
and was imploring Him many times, saying, “My little daughter is near death, please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she may be healed, and live.”
And He went away with him. And a large crowd was following Him, and they were pressing against Him.
Now a certain woman, suffering from a flow of blood for twelve years,
and who had suffered many things under many physicians, and who had spent everything at her disposal, and was no better, but rather having become worse,
when she heard about Jesus, she came from behind Him in the crowd and touched His clothing.
For she was saying, “If only I may touch His clothes, I will be healed.”
And immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she knew in her body that she had been healed from her affliction.
And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, He turned in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”
But His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing against You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”
And He was looking around to see her who had done this thing.
But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.
And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”
While He was still speaking, they came from the synagogue leader, saying, “Your daughter has died. Why do you still trouble the Teacher?”
But Jesus, immediately when He heard the word being spoken, said to the synagogue leader, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”
