62What if you saw the Son of Man ascend to where He was before?
63The Spirit gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and life.
64Yet there are some of you who don’t believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning who didn’t believe, and who would betray Him.
65He said, “For this reason I have told you, that no one can come to me, unless it has been granted by the Father.”
66Because of this, many of His disciples turned back and didn’t walk with him any more.
67Then Jesus asked the twelve, “Do you want to go away, too?”
68Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, who will we go to? You have words of eternal life.
69We have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
70Jesus answered, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, yet one of you is a slanderer?”
71He was speaking of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.
