John 6:58-65

⁵⁸This is the bread which came down from Heaven, not like the manna your forefathers ate, and died. A person who eats this bread will live forever.”

⁵⁹He said this while teaching in the synagogue at Capernaum.

⁶⁰Therefore when many of His disciples heard this, they said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can stand to hear it?”

⁶¹Jesus, aware that his disciples were complaining about this, asked them, “Does this offend you?

⁶²What if you saw the Son of Man ascend to where He was before?

⁶³The Spirit gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and life.

⁶⁴Yet there are some of you who don’t believe.” Jesus knew from the beginning who didn’t believe, and who would betray Him.

⁶⁵He said, “For this reason I have told you, that no one can come to me, unless it has been granted by the Father.”
