John 19:24-28

²⁴Therefore they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but let us cast lots for it, whose it will be,” so that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: “They divided My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things.

²⁵Now there stood by the cross of Jesus His mother, and His mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

²⁶Therefore Jesus, seeing His mother, and the disciple whom He loved standing by, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold your son!”

²⁷Then He said to the disciple, “Behold your mother!” And from that hour that disciple took her into his own care.

²⁸After this, Jesus, seeing that all things already had been fulfilled, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, He said, “I thirst!”
