Luke 18:17-27

¹⁷Truly do I say to you, Whoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, will not enter therein.

¹⁸And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good teacher, what shall I do to inherit everlasting life?

¹⁹And Jesus said to him, Why dost thou call me good? None is good but one, that is, God.

²⁰Thou knowest the commandments: “Do not commit adultery; Do not kill; Do not steal; Do not bear false witness; Honor thy father and thy mother.”

²¹And he said, All these have I kept from my youth.

²²And Jesus hearing this said to him, One thing thou still lackest: sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

²³But when he heard this, he became very sorrowful; for he was very rich.

²⁴And Jesus seeing him said, How hardly do they that have riches enter the kingdom of God!

²⁵It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

²⁶And those who heard this said, Who then can be saved?

²⁷But he said, What is impossible with men is possible with God.
