Luke 13:8-12 in English

⁸ And he answering saith unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

⁹ and if it bear fruit thenceforth, well; but if not, thou shalt cut it down.

¹⁰ And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath day.

¹¹ And behold, a woman that had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed together, and could in no wise lift herself up.

¹² And when Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

⁸ And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

⁹ And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

⁹ If it bears fruit next year, we (inc) will allow it to keep growing. If it does not bear fruit next year, you (sg) can cut it down.’”

¹⁰ One ◄Sabbath/Jewish day of rest►, Jesus was teaching people in one of the Jewish meeting places.

¹¹ There was a woman there whom an evil spirit MTY had crippled for eighteen years. She was always bent over; she could not stand up straight.

¹² When Jesus saw her, he called her over to him. He said to her, “Woman, I am freeing you (sg) from your illness!”

⁸ He answered, ‘Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.

⁹ If it bears fruit, fine; but if not, after that, you can cut it down.’”

¹⁰ He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.

¹¹ Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years. She was bent over and could in no way straighten herself up.

¹² When Jesus saw her, he called her and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”

¹¹ And there was a woman who had had a disease for eighteen years; she was bent, and was not able to make herself straight.

¹² And when Jesus saw her, he said to her, Woman, you are made free from your disease.

⁸ But he answering says to him, Sir, let it alone for this year also, until I shall dig about it and put dung,

⁹ and if it shall bear fruit — but if not, after that thou shalt cut it down.

¹⁰ And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.

¹¹ And lo, there was a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent together and wholly unable to lift her head up.

¹² And Jesus, seeing her, called to her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.

⁸ But he answering, said to him: Lord, let it alone this year also, until I dig about it, and dung it.

⁹ And if happily it bear fruit: but if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

¹⁰ And he was teaching in their synagogue on their sabbath.

¹¹ And behold there was a woman, who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years: and she was bowed together, neither could she look upwards at all.

¹² Whom when Jesus saw, he called her unto him, and said to her: Woman, thou art delivered from thy infirmity.

⁸ But he answered and said to him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.

⁹ And if it produces fruit, fine. But if not, in the coming year, you can cut it down.’ ”

¹⁰ Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.

¹¹ And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over and was not able to straighten herself up.

¹² And seeing her, Jesus called her to Him and said, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.”

⁸ But in answer he said to him, ‘Sir, let it be this year also, until I dig around it and apply fertilizer,

⁹ in case it produces fruit—but if not, then cut it down.’ ”

¹⁰ Now as Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath,

¹¹ He saw a woman there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years—she was bent over and could not straighten up.

¹² So He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity!”

⁸ ‘Master,’ the man replied, ‘please leave it alone for just one more year. I'll dig the soil around it and put down some fertilizer.

⁹ If it produces fruit, then that's fine. If not, then chop it down.’”

¹⁰ One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in a synagogue,

¹¹ and a woman was there who had been crippled by an evil spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not stand straight.

¹² When Jesus saw her, he called her over and told her, “You're freed of your sickness.”

⁸ And he answered, and said vnto him, Lord, let it alone this yeere also, till I digge round about it, and doung it.

⁹ And if it beare fruite, well: if not, then after thou shalt cut it downe.

¹⁰ And he taught in one of ye Synagogues on the Sabbath day.

¹¹ And behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmitie eighteene yeeres, and was bowed together, and coulde not lift vp her selfe in any wise.

¹² When Iesus sawe her, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thy disease.

⁸ And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

⁹ and if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

⁸ ‘Leave it this one year more, Sir,’ the man answered, ‘until I have dug around it and manured it.

⁹ Then, if it bears in future, well and good; but if not, you can have it cut down.’”

¹⁰ Jesus was teaching on a Sabbath in one of the synagogues,

¹¹ and he saw before him a woman who for eighteen years had suffered from weakness owing to her having an evil spirit in her. She was bent double, and was wholly unable to raise herself.

¹² When Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said, “Woman, you are released from your weakness.”

⁸ ‘Leave it this one year more, Sir,’ the man answered, ‘until I have dug around it and manured it.

⁹ Then, if it bears in future, well and good; but if not, you can have it cut down.’”

¹⁰ Jesus was teaching on a Sabbath in one of the synagogues,

¹⁰ He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath ·To cease· day.

¹¹ Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up.

¹² When Yeshua Salvation saw her, he called her, and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”

⁸ But his worker said, ‘Wait, Boss, give it one more chance. Leave it for another year, and I will look after it properly. I’ll dig around it and put some fertilizer stuff on it to help it grow,

⁹ and it might get fruit on it next year. If it doesn’t, then we can chop it down.’”

¹⁰ One Saturday Jesus was teaching people in a Jewish meeting house. Their Jewish law said that nobody can work on a Saturday. It was their rest day.

¹¹ There was a woman there with bad spirit inside her. A long time before that, the bad spirit went into that woman and made her back crooked. That bad spirit lived in her for 18 years, and all that time her back was bent over. She couldn’t stand up straight.

¹² Jesus saw her in that meeting house and said to her, “Come here, lady. You are better now. You are free from that sickness.”

⁸ And he answered and sayde vnto him: lorde let it alone this yeare also till I digge rounde aboute it and doge it to se whether it will beare frute:

⁹ and if it beare not then after that cut it doune.

¹⁰ And he taught in one of their sinagoges on the saboth dayes.

¹¹ And beholde ther was a woman which had a sprete of infirmite .xviii. yeares: and was bowed to gether and coulde not lifte vp hersilfe at all.

¹² When Iesus sawe her he called her to him and sayde to her: woman thou arte delyvered from thy disease.

⁸ The gardener answered and said, 'Leave it alone this year while I dig around it and put manure on it.

⁹ If it bears fruit next year, good; but if it does not, cut it down!'”

¹⁰ Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues during the Sabbath.

¹¹ Behold, a woman was there who for eighteen years had a spirit of weakness. She was bent over and was not able to straighten up completely.

¹² When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, “Woman, you are freed from your weakness.”

⁸ He answered, ‘Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.

⁹ If it bears fruit, fine; but if not, after that, you can cut it down.’”

¹⁰ He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.

¹¹ And lo! a woman, that had a spirit of sickness eighteen years, and was crooked or and was bowed down, and neither in any manner might look upward.

¹² Whom when Jesus had seen, he called her to him, and said to her, Woman, thou art delivered of thy sickness or thou art left (or thou art let go) of thy sickness.

⁸ And he answerynge seide to hym, Lord, suffre it also this yeer, the while Y delue aboute it, and Y schal donge it;

⁹ if it schal make fruyt, if nay, in tyme comynge thou schalt kitte it doun.

¹⁰ And he was techinge in her synagoge in the sabatis.

¹¹ And lo! a womman, that hadde a spirit of sijknesse eiytene yeeris, and was crokid, and `nethir ony maner myyte loke vpward.

¹² Whom whanne Jhesus hadde seyn, he clepide to hym, and seide to hir, Womman, thou art delyuerid of thi sijknesse.

⁸ 'And he answering saith to him, Sir, suffer it also this year, till that I may dig about it, and cast in dung;

⁹ and if indeed it may bear fruit — ;and if not so, thereafter thou shalt cut it off.'

¹⁰ And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath,

¹¹ and lo, there was a woman having a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bowed together, and not able to bend back at all,

¹² and Jesus having seen her, did call her near, and said to her, 'Woman, thou hast been loosed from thy infirmity;'
