John 8:28-31

²⁸So Jesus added, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will understand that I am what I am, and that I do nothing of myself, but that I say just what the Father has taught me.

²⁹Moreover, he who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone; for I always do what pleases him.”

³⁰While he was speaking in this way, many came to believe in him.

³¹So Jesus went on to say to those who had believed him, “If you remain constant to my message, you are truly my disciples;
