John 6:46-55

⁴⁶Not that anyone has seen the Father, except him who is from God — he has seen the Father.

⁴⁷In truth I tell you, the person who believes in me has eternal life.

⁴⁸I am the life-giving bread.

⁴⁹Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, and yet died.

⁵⁰The bread that comes down from heaven is such that whoever eats of it will never die.

⁵¹I am the living bread that has come down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, they will live for ever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

⁵²They began disputing with one another, “How is it possible for this man to give us his flesh to eat?”

⁵³“In truth I tell you,” answered Jesus, “unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink his blood, you have not life within you.

⁵⁴Everyone who takes my flesh for their food, and drinks my blood, has eternal life; and I will raise them up at the Last day.

⁵⁵For my flesh is true food, and my blood true drink.
